Thanks, Wommie! He's now in a hospital closer to me: 30km as opposed to 160, so I can see him more often. He calls me every day, whether I visit or not, and we have a great relationship. He's very aware, very present. As his brain is rewiring, he started to remember things that happened during his/our darkest hours. We talk about them and release them. He feels guilty for all that happened, I explain it was not his fault. The past belongs to the past; what matters now is the present. He is exploring the idea of becoming an Accountant, started studying Math, Accounting Principles, and QuickBooks. He started to go to the gym, plays badminton, swims, is sensitive, thoughtful and loving.
I count my blessings every day.
