I had my first LDA shot a week ago, for foods. My food allergies, were which already very severe before, are worse now. Since I am allergic to basically all food, my doctor told me to fast for the 3 days around the shot. I tried, but I couldn't go without food that long, so I ate some squash and olive oil the evening of the shot and the day after. These are some of the only foods I could eat without reacting, in the past. But I even react to these when I ate them after the shot. Now, I am reacting to everything I eat worse than I was before.
My doctor warned me my allergies could get worse before better, but is this really normal? It there still a chance it will really help me? I am so scared because my allergies are so severe... My throat gets tight which makes is a bit difficult to breathe...
I didn't do the antifungal medication before the shot, but I had a stool test that showed 'no clinically significant amount of yeast'. I do think I am prone to yeast problems, but I think that's been pretty well under control for awhile now. (I only get symptoms if I eat sweet things, which I don't...)
Has anyone here been through LDA and can give me any advice?
