Yes.. you breathe in spores every single day... you probably eat a few too... and they land on your skin. Go barefoot in that forest, dig in the dirt with your hands and get dirt under your nails and do not wash it off... take a mud bath.

For you it may have been bs on the health food and protein... but not for someone else.
At this point I would ask what your ancestry was... how did your ancestors including your parents eat? If this was similar to the way they, both your mother and father ate, along with the way it was prepared, I would be somewhat surprised by your results. If it is far removed from the way that one or both ate, then I would not be surprised. We are all different and there is no one sized fits all diet. Some people do very well on the diet you just described.
Of course there are the matters of lifestyle, environment and occupation as well.
