OF VITAMIN C by Dr Steve Hickey who has a PhD in Medical Biophysics from the University of Manchester, and his co author Hilary Roberts.
About the only side effect is diarrhea if taken in excess for your needs. Anywhere from 10,000 to 20,000mg are just fine unless you get the runs that is (the bowel tolerance test).
I know someone who was cured of Eisenmenger Syndrome from taking 24,000mg three times per day.
