Good timing last week I looked into 'Nšhrbier', a low alcohol malt beer made with Caramel Malt. The Sugar
in that malt has been altered and is allowed for diabetics.
In 1959 it won all the awards in Germany by 1964 it was being phased out. In the meantime it was given out in hospitals to the sick and elderly and children.
Still known as Kids beer it appears to have been eliminated from the market place. If you scroogle you get mostly complaints about no longer being able to find it..all in German though..
That said I can see the combo of Iodine
and Caramel Malt in tablet form as a great food supplement..
