My advise to you, being 59, is to ensure a moderate exercise program focusing less on aerobic exercise, and more on weights. if you can convert plant based nutrition, you should be fine with the protein.
if not... keep a bit of animal protein and fat in your diet.
That brings me to another thought... I am not so sure that my statements that some individual's inability to *convert* plant based nutrition to a usable form is being *heard* clearly by some readers here.
An individual who cannot convert plant based nutrition *will NOT ever* heal completely on a vegan\vegetarian diet... although they *may* find benefit with the diet for *cleansing*... to a point, they could do the same with clean, high quality, raw animal products too while getting the proper nutrition they require at the same time.
