Kind of good news bad news on that subject. The good news is that oleander extract was very successful in canine tests for the patented oleander extract medicine Anvirzel. The bad news is that, while we have had some good success stories with oleander extract for dogs, cats (and other animals), dogs and cats do not seem to tolerate oral oleander very well for the most part. Loss of appetite, barfing, diarrhea, etc. are pretty common.
The canine trials injected the oleander. I am not sure how safe it would be to try to inject a homemade or supplement version. The other option is to adfminister it rectally - perhaps a less than pleasant procedure for both the dog and owner to get the extract in and then manage to keep it held in for awhile.
I hope the new year is finding you joyful and healthy,
