I'm all for adding healthy fats and protein to the diet. These are both 2 things I ate rarely if at all, pre-AF. I avoided eating fat in any form, and that's one factor (among several) that did lead to my getting AF.
Anyway, I would love to start the paleo diet. However, how easy is it to get enough protein from this way of eating? I tried but my body just doesn't like just meats and veggies. Especially the veggies. When my AF was worse, it was impossible for me to digest meat, even chicken... it made me fall asleep because it was so much work for my body to digest the meat. Now that my AF has improved, I can eat meat.
Can a person get enough protein just from eating meat alone? I think I'd get sick of meat, because my body just doesn't like to eat meat. Ugh. I can't do just meat and veggies. I've been getting my protein from beans, lentils, chickpeas, etc. Also eat lots of nuts like raw cashews and walnuts. Also, for protein I eat plain cooked oatmeal each day. Eggs are out because they make me sick, and dairy makes me sick, too. I don't think I'm brave enough to do raw dairy (?)
