I tried UT several years ago but gave it up pretty quickly because of the taste. However, this time around (at am almost two weeks now) I tried a different approach.
I have some narrow glasses made of glass and I collect the mid-stream. Then, holding my tongue under the glass I drink it down.
The tip of the tongue is protected from the taste. Most of the drink hits me about mid-tongue and down into my throat. It is well known that the tip of the tongue is the most sensitive to tastes.
This has made it possible for me to consider trying UT for a longer time as an experiment. Before coming up with this method it was too gross. Now I'm getting used to it but I doubt I'll give up my method. I want to enjoy the food I eat and preserving the most sensitive part of my tongue from the bitter taste will allow me to do so.
