Hey guys, I was wondering if you guys get the same problem I do or if I got another condition. A lot of people here talk about the peeling cycle. Well, the skin on my lips does not peel on its own. Rather it gets really thick and dry but it is adhesive. I peel the skin off every 3-5 days because it gets too thick and discolored (turns whitish). I remember someone saying that in EC, the skin that grows back is basically fingernail (keratin) which would explain the thickness I get. Do you guys get the same problem or different? Actually I guess it depends on what I put on my lips. When I use crisco shortening (dermatologist recommended it to me because it has no allergens in it), the problem is that the lips get thick and adhesive. When I use other balms like bariederm I guess it gets more thick and peely. Like if I open my mouth too wide I feel like the skin might peel off. Still, even when its peely it doesn't peel on its own. It's just really easy to peel when I do it. It comes off painlessly. When I use crisco, I have to peel slowly and it hurts a little. Do you guys get the same problem depending on what you put on your lips? Do your lips peel on their own?
