It's apparently working for me. I would buy some powdered cinnamon (should be organic if you can get it) and dump a lot of it into a bowl. This will allow the essential oils to evaporate. I don't think you can use them on your child because they burn too much. Check the cinnamon yourself everyday to check that it doesn't burn as it takes time for the oils to evaporate. Somehow you want the cinnamon to contact all her teeth. You probably know how better to do that since your a parent. :-) I personally take about an 1/8th of a teaspoon and move it around my mouth. The cinnamon can be swallowed or spit out but NOT rinsed. Well, I don't think it can be rinsed.
Yes, initially when my teeth were weak and in bad shape they stained a brown color like the cinnamon. According to Barefoot Master Herbalist, this is a good sign because it means the teeth are absorbing the minerals directly. Regardless of the reason, I can tell you based on my personal experience that my teeth are much whiter now and I've only been using the cinnamon. I didn't use any whitener or toothpaste or anything. For about 9-10 months I've only used herbs.
They actually went through cycles of staining then whitening, but as time went on the staining became lighter and my teeth became whiter.
