Natural way to get rid of black caterpillars
Well its that time of the year when all the hairy old black caterpillars come out and mow down everything in their path. Seems to be a LOT of them here this year (South suburbs of Perth WA)

Im after a natural way to get rid of them. No poisons as I have 3 cats (not mine) that visit regulary plus a tame white cocky and 3 magpies I hand feed. Cant believe what a greenie I have turned into. I hit 45 a couple of years back and I find I actually give a s**t these days!

    Anyway any hints.

    Thanks.

have you got cape lilac trees?
Contact your local council an they can treat the trees?
Search google for natural remedies- only if they are eating a certain plant in garden

A mixture of water, garlic and chilli should work.  Blend them up and put them into a spray bottle.  This works for most pests.  Doesn't kill them just moves them on (to the neighbours house LOL!!).

Hehehe Yea quite a few have taken flying lessons over the fence. Silly things just leap into my hand and of course my natural reaction is to "Get EM off me " which involves a quick flick over the fence hehehe !

    Will try that brew. Ta

if you have kids, maybe keep some in a shoebox and the kids can watch them make cocoons =)
