Due to my allergies, drugs are like playing Russian roulette for me. Even natural anticandida foods like garlic and coconut oil give me allergic reactions.
So I tried a few alternative methods like
- NAET, 3 months with a certified practitioner, then 3 months with another, when I saw I did not get anywhere with the 1st one.
Total waste of time and money; pure snake oil, urban voodoo--you are holding a vial filled with a substance you are allergic to. At the same time, the practitioner uses a small contraption to shock some of your acupuncture meridians, it feels just like a rubberband snapped against you skin.
The practitioners told me it would take possibly 2 1/2 years to get better. Conveniently, 2 1/2years is the time it took me to get well when I first had CFS, recovering on my own and without following any treatment at all...
And I would have to come every week, or at the very least 3 times a month, for 21/2 years, at $80/100 a pop. I figure NAET's practitioners were looking for a steady income to send their kids to college...;-D but you might as well put your hands on the screen when a televangelist is on,it's cheaper and works just as well.
- I tried also acupuncture for 5/6 months; there was a slight improvement in my allergies, but not significant enough for the money spent.
- I tried to place 2 magnets on the intestinal area. It works allright, the effect is clear but it's not the one I was looking for--within 30/40minutes, minor allergic reaction, with serie of sneezes, red eyes, migraine, rashes.
- energy healing, for nearly a year--something happened, and I do not think it was just a placebo effect. I felt better, with more energy but only for a few days. Then the effect vanishes, and you are back more or less to square one. There is clearly a positive, temporary impact on your well being, but it does not touch what is at the root of your problem, whatever it is. So I did it for quite awhile because I enjoyed the temporary buzz but I quit because it's expensive too and I was not making any headway.
Anyway, all these experiences were entertaining to a point, and also satisfied my intellectual curiosity but all in all I spent 6 or 7 Ks for absolutely nothing.I am not too impressed with NDs; at least they listen to you, but they are trying to sell you their stuff just like MDs, only it's usually less lethal.
Some people on this forum swear by Andreas Moritz ; he proposes''Sacred santemony'', a ritual that is supposed to set you free from the imprints of emotional traumas/stress that made you sick in the first place, and keep you from healing.
Based on my past experience and common sense,I am skeptical about it. Did anybody here who was REAL sick tried it,and with what results? Thanks for your input.;-D
