i love speaking my mind. i get to see what kind of nonsense is actually floating around in my head.
now that i have had time to think about your situation with the tooth breaking up, i think you are right. i think there may be a connection to OP. the tooth i lost two years ago - it dawns on me that is when i started oil pulling as well. i never connected the two, yet now i think there may be a connection.
i was pulling with olive oil, organic extra virgin cold pressed. in addition, i think i am right about the damge already existing, not being caused by the oil. i think what the oil does is remove whatever gunk is holding the tooth together.
i had already determined i was exposed to plenty of fluoride. the tooth had a good sized filling in it. the fact is that decades before, i had been hit in the mouth with a 7 iron right in that area. also, recent work just below that tooth had been putting undue pressure on it and i had heard it crack a couple of times while eating because my bite was a bit off.
altogether, the tooth was a gonner, which was a real blessing in disguise. the oil pulling may have accelerated the inevitable. that tooth was really brittle. that is my best assessment thus far.
thanks for all your input here and best wishes for your health.
