My son is 2 years old and suffered partial 2nd degree burns on 20% of his body 6 days ago. He was treated with debridement, a silver foam/compression dressing. The doctor stated that the foam is good in place for 7 days and just to change out the compression gauze. I have been doing what is ordered and everything seems to be progressing smoothly, but he has an odd smell coming from the areas. Not foul, but if you are close to him you can smell it. Kind of like a copper/sweaty/stale smell. Is this normal? The drainage is of normal color. We did speak to the physician who did the debreidment and is over looking his care on the phone, he says my son has no indicators of infection. He has an appointment tomorrow to assess what Should be done as far as further debridement. Anyway, I was wondering if a smell can come from burns just as a healing process? How can I wash his hair if he has burns on his neck and close to his ear? I'm so lost as to how to deal with this, he's my son and this is the first time he has even been ill in any way. Can anyone help me out here?
I am trying to find out if oil or oreganol would have interactions with the drug Bactrim? Can anyone on this board help me or is there a place I can go to find this kind of information? I can find all kinds of drug interactions sites but nothing about alternative medicines interactions with drugs.
I took off a highly suspected mast cell tumor off my dog Sandy's ear with black salve from 'best products on earth'.....which works very well and heals fast tho it may scare you in the middle of the process.
anyway, Sandy was left with a raw place the size of a golf ball [proper use of black salve is problematic on a dog because it should be left alone and bandaged for 2-3 weeks---dogs are very inventive on getting a bandage off and scratching area even with a cone on head]
I got some medical manuka honey [be careful there all manuka is not medical it is a potentcy deal].
in a matter of days its almost healed....dabbing a small amount on 2x day.....I am really amazed.
I got manukaguard medical manuka honey but there are many other brands.
8 oz is going to last me a LONG time for me and Sandy.
I have spoken to someone recently who suffered third degree burns which has left her with a very high internal temperature, especially whenever she tries to go out on hot days. She found this great cold pack which she wraps around her core and it helps her get her internal temperature down when she goes out and about. I thought this was a wonderful idea so I wanted to post this to give others the idea in hopes to provide some cooling and relief on these hot summer days. It's also a great idea for those suffering from MS who also have a problem with increased temperatures and burning skin. Please let me know what you think. http://www.kingbrand.com/Back-Ice-Packs-and-wraps.php?REF=46PV4.192
have been reading through CZ and hope to find help. I have some old keloids from a fire I'm trying to get rid of and recently had surgery to remove some that were preventing me from moving my neck. I am hoping to use Iodine and silver or whatever works but am not clear on how to start. Do you have any suggestions?
My surgical site is almost healed except for a large scab where some skin died as it never got a blood supply. I read through the Dr Derry Iodine papers where he just soaks old scars in iodine and seals them in plastic until they dissolve. I think that is a little too much for a fresh surgical site but may work on older scars. I don't think my surgeon would be too pleased if I show with all of my skin dissolved...I am not too familiar with the h202 therapy and am a strong believer in Colloidal Silver , I use serrapetase & bromelain enzymes but have not noticed anything in the 2 weeks I`ve been using them . Would anyone be willing to help guide me in my research to develop a program to help me heal?
I had just had my wisdoms pulled. Was having complications because the Ortho. that did them apparently did not know what he was doing. He left me with complications.
I drank a small glass of O.J. with Pure Radiance (brand) vitamin C, about 3 or 4 times a day just to heal my infected gums.
One benefit that I noticed was that some keloid scars on my body had significantly shrunk as a result of the vitamin c. Not all vitamin c supplements are the same. I like Pure Radiance C because they have other ingredients in the product that are high in vitamin c as well. Try that and see if it works. Vitamin c is supposed to help with collagen production and integrity.
Iodine for keloids is a commitment. It takes work. I have keloids after a surgery and covering them with any kind of plastic makes it itch like you are going insane.
Trust me you will not want to cover them. I read in another link here on cure zone that the author covered them specifically to take better pictures for the paper you read and that he said it will work just as well if you don't cover it with plastic.
My scars were reduced by 30%. It is like a chemical peel but instead of using acid you use lugols... it turns the top of the scar into a hard brown thick shiny plastic looking scab and then slowly the scab peels away to revel softer smaller scars. It wont happen with one application to get it to peel the first time. For me it took a week of applying Lugols 3 times a day before the skin turned into a hard plastic shell and then it took nearly 2 weeks for it to completely peel off. So far I have only done it once but plan on doing it as many times as I can until I get the result I want. I put plastic over it 3 times and though I was going to rip off my skin because it made it itch sooo bad. I suffered through it after 45 min the burning itching stopped but after that I didn't apply plastic over it, it wasn't worth it.
It is supposed to kill the infection that caused the keloid. Many believe that the keloids formed because the body bound up the infection at the incision to protect the body and bound up the infection in the keloid. I believe this is true. I never have problems with keloids and this surgeon was a complete ass and a butcher and I think his bad job somehow left infection at my incisions which caused the first keloids I have ever had after surgery. I have had several surgeries and cystic acne and I never have keloids from any previous surgeries and have no scars on my face from my cystic acne.
How did you get the solution to stay on? Is there some sort of binding agent one can mix with the liquid? I will try your routine on an older keloid (4 years old)and this can be my base line for testing. It is on my inner arm so most of the solution may rub off...should I just keep reapplying it? I may be able to soak the solution and apply some tape over it...
Since I was using Lugols and it stains I would cut off the 3 inch portion of a pointer finger from a non-latex glove and slip it over my entire pointer finger. Then I would hold my hand horizontal with my pointer finger pointing out (palm side up) and carefully drop 1 drop onto my pointer finger and then rub that onto the scar.
I would keep rubbing the liquid into the scar for a few min after a few min I would lightly blow on it to help it dry faster. in 3-5 min most of the Iodine is absorbed and the scar is stained with the lugols. I would do that 3-4 times a day. I keep reusing 3" non-latex finger I never rinsed it cuz it is Iodine and will kill all bacteria. I tried this with SSKI but Lugols is the only thing that peeled in the manner that I describe above.
I hope this helps. Sorry for the delay it's been a really busy week.
Actually all these symptomes relate to excess of harmful Dryness energy.
If these tend to locate at neck the acu recipe
Heat (neck region): Dryness sedate, Heat tone up
and the scheme itself is simple enough for self-treatment.
If interested I can draw it to test.
Also, you may have "natural" excess of dryness energy for the
Energy Constitution everyone has from the moment of birth.
This can also be corrected in rather easy way.
My Chinese Zodiac is Metal Horse
And I have experienced many of the symptoms of both jitsu metal/water and kyo wood element...
When I would do energy work, I would always feel the left side of my head, top of head, always out of balance compared to the right side.. I could see it in my aura too when I looked in the mirror... I took a Shiatsu class and learned that area was the gallbladder meridian... And I could tell it was out of place / ballooned up and off my head / something like that..
Finally an energy healer set it back in place, I could feel a very very distinct snap, and I no longer feel the imbalance around my head.
Thought I'd share and tell you thank you for posting!
He got rid of welding burns he had a year later by mixing basing soda with water into a paste and applying to the burns leaving on between 2-3 hours to overnight. If necessary, repeat. he also called these radiation burns.
I remember when I was an adolescent reading a fictional book about a Formula One race car driver who got into an accident and experienced severe third-degree burns all over his face. A Native American Indian offered him a salve that completely healed his face so he didn’t have permanent scarring. After some time went by, the driver became so overjoyed that it worked without leaving a mark. Unfortunately, no matter how hard he tried, he was never able to track down the Medicine Man. At that moment, I wished we had that healing ointment.
Then 20+ years later I got to know MH, the Master Herbalist. On the Ask Barefoot Herbalist Forum I learned about his old-fashioned wisdom, applied it, and discovered that there actually is hope.
There is a product called ‘B&W OINTMENT’ that can be applied on any burns, scars, or injuries for healing to take place. In my own experience I have had some promising results. Even though it is a slow process, one scar I have within my left eye-brow has almost completely faded away after a years time. The one small burn I have on my ankle is now beginning to fade after six months.
In both cases I was not consistent in applying the ointment on a daily basis. I know it is hard for most of us to stop wishing for instant results. But sure enough, a slow process is the sure and steady way to heal without having to worry about negative side-effects.
MH says: “When cut, I use powdered cayenne, this prevents the scar. Once scarred, I use BF&C as explained on the my teacher web page. It can be applied as B&W ointment and taken as capsule or tea. To get rid of a old scar may take a year or so. A scar comes from incomplete healing. “IF” we have enough nutrients and good enough circulation, there will be no scar.”
It is an exciting thing to marvel at the power of nature’s way to heal and regenerate our bodies no matter how long it took to achieve this level of result. If you get in good with MH you’ll discover lots of natural wisdom. MH relates a story how an Amish Healer has literally helped thousands of burn victims over the past 35 years:
“He has been going across country teaching groups of people how to treat burns at home and to recognize when the burn is too severe and must be moved to the hospitals. He has been working with doctors and trying to change the way American Hospitals treat burn victims. Being only one man and extremely limited funds, he has done what he has been able. BOOK V is a record of his works and much will be added when time allows.”
Since MH is basically a pioneer in the alternative health field, it makes me worried that without him, generations to come will lose out on his valuable work. If nothing is done, the powers that be will overrule and more suffering will ensue for us, our children, and future generations.
My wish is that other good Samaritans or Bodhisattvas (compassionate individuals) can understand what he is doing, discover the correct principles of health, and establish healing centers all over the world for the benefit of everyone.
TIPS for quicker results:
1. apply a thick layer of the B+W ointment under a gauze pad twice a day,
2. take several BF+C capsules orally to help regenerate the flesh
3. taking the LBB (lower bowel balance) formula moves toxins out the elimination organs which includes the skin
4. Herbal spray I, II, or III brings heat to the area which moves your blood to the surface of the skin quickly for healing to take place
MH says, “The Amish Clinic makes the best burn salve in the USA. You take a leaf and apply the salve to the leaf and then apply to the burn and that burn can be to the bone, it can not be too bad. The leaves used are Burdock, if that is not available, they use lettuce or cabbage.”
Does covering the ointment completely with scalded burdock leaves reduce the amount of healing time for burns? I haven’t any experience with it. Maybe someone who has more experience and results can post a comment. I would love to know.
okay so i had this for as long as i can remember from biting my lips. searching the internet i came across bioskincare website which is based around this specific snail which can regrow organs , repair shell, basically anything! so i purchased bioskincare skin cream (they have a ton of products for a variety of skin issues) and have been using it for about 2 months and i am healed 65%!!! this is amazing, more than half way fully HEALED and i thought i would never heal. the only downside is the price of this product, but don't take my word please check out the BIOSKINCARE website i want all of you to heal and be as thankful as i am for this product. if you have anymore questions feel free to msg me at email@example.com i am eager to help!!!
While this reads like a classic MLM post, this is one of the few topical treatments that intrigues me and has yet to be tested by any sufferers until now, apparently. I can only assume that the product is based on a secretion of the Helix Aspersa Muller snail.
This is one of the few natural sources of allantoin (otherwise obtained from urine or comfrey, the latter of which can apparently lead to liver failure). The product may also contain collagen and elastin as do other similar snail-based cosmetics. According to livestrong.com, some products from the manufacturer, Biocutis, contain distilled water, derivatives from olive oil, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and Suprapein. Another website cautions about the olive oil derivative in Bioskincare cream, Peg-4 Olivate, claiming that in its manufacture toxic compounds ethylene oxide and dioxane may present themselves.
The manufacturer claims that the snails' secretion contains the "enzyme antioxidant SOD (Superoxide Dismutase) and GST (Glutathione)." They further claim that "it stimulates fibroblast proliferation and rearrangement of the actin cytoskeleton." There is no mention of its use on the lips or other mucuous membranes.
As I've noted in the past, according to wikipedia, the cosmetics industry promotes allantoin's moisturizing and keratolytic effect, it's increasing of the water content of the extracellular matrix and enhancing the shedding of upper layers of dead skin cells, and its promotion of cell proliferation and wound healing. However, Biocutis do not mention the presence of or effect of allantoin in their products.
Enhancing the water content and healing wounds sound great, but promoting cell proliferation seems counterintuitive, since most of us seem to have an over-production of keratin (but maybe without water content it is dead on arrival).
Of course, with a detailed description of which product from Biocutis we are discussing, and the treatment regimen (how often, how much at a time), a case history of past and current treatments and lifestyle modifications, plus photos of before and after the treatment, we could take this claim seriously and some might want to replicate the experiment (and start raising snails to avoid the high cost).
I am seeking help on any forum that can provide it. Last Thursday evening I had a severe allergic drug reaction to a medicine prescribed by my physician. My skin had raised, red lesions as well as clusters of bump. The lesions have gone, but the skin remains raw and unbearable to the tip of my fingernails. If I touch my skin with the nails ever so slightly, I am in excruciating pain.
I am on a protocol which includes large quantities of quercetin (activated), a salve called egyptian magic, but the salve has not done much for my skin. For the first few days I did calamine lotion, and the effects were too drying.
I am seeking help on how I can assist my skin to heal. Are there topical things that I can apply to assist and soothe the skin? Are there additional vitamins I need to take to assist the skin in healing. I am consuming fish oil, Ester-C, B-Complex, D-3, E-Complex, NAC (Gluthatione precursor), Resveratrol, Milk Thistle and some Herbs to help stabilize the adrenals.
Your help is very much appreciated. How I can start the journey to healing my skin so that the scarring is minimal is needed.
If it is too painful to apply the paste (and wrap with gauze), then maybe making his fomentation with the Bone, Flesh and Cartilage Cut and putting in a spray bottle (keep in fridge) or pour over body if applying cloth and plastic wrap is not practical or is too painful. Or you could apply his complete tissue oil to your skin, it is a bit greasy though but very healing.
Thanks for the suggestions, but I have read that comfrey, can be absorbed through the skin, and can potentially be toxic to the liver. It is advised that you need to have frequent liver enzymes checked even if used topically. Have you heard this?
No, that's totally not true. Comfrey was safely used internally for 100's of years, then a group of scientists isolate allotinin an ingredient found in LOTS of vegetables and fed this concentrated substance in extremely large doses to rats. Because of this study, comfrey has been blacklisted. Funny thing though, aloe contains the same stuff and it is consumed safely with no liver damage.
BTW, I've been ingesting Dr. Christopher's Bone, Flesh and Cartilage powder -- with comfrey for a while now to help rebuild cartilage and my last blood tests included liver enzymes and they were fine. Dr. Mom (Ask Dr. Mom) fed the capsules to her bed ridden mother (severe osteoporosis and degenerated discs) and his incurables program which included the BF& C topically and internally got her out of bed and on with her life. Dr. Mom took the BF&C capsules for her degenerated discs that were so bad she was wheelchair bound, the formula (with comfrey) rebuilt the cartilage.
The aim of this study is to examine how people experience social situations and interpersonal relationships and how these experiences are related to traumatic or distressing events people have encountered in their life. We expect the results of this study to help us improve treatment for people who find it difficult to deal with traumatic experiences.
We would also like to find participants who were not affected by traumatic events.
The survey consists of an anonymous questionnaire. Participants will NOT be asked for their names and they can leave the survey at any time. Data will be kept in confidence and used for research purposes only. The project has been approved by the Ethics Commitee at the University of Amsterdam.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message.
Just wanted to report that tea tree oil has healed any new burns I have had recently. It works within minutes. I have not have deep burns lately, but on surface burns the pain is gone almost immediately! And, no blistering.
I am looking for colloid grade silver wire, in Canada. I found cheap site in the USA and ordered but then they cancelled, saying they cant ship outside US. Their price was $12 for a foot of 9999 12 gauge, which seems good. Shipping was supposed to be only $6. So i was very disappointed when they cancelled. Some sites want outrageous shipping charges.
Thanks for any tips on where to buy in Canada, or a site that can ship to Canada at reasonable shipping.
Thanks, I too would prefer rods or wire, cant be sure of coins contents and wouldnt be able submerge coins very far into the water. Maybe if you flatten then with a hammer first, still seems like a lot of extra work. Canada sucks!
I did some checking online and find the Canadian Maple Leaf silver dollar is 9999, so suppose that is an option. However i did find wire on Ebay and they will ship to Canada, so am waiting for my order now.
There is much debate on the difference between .999 and .9999 silver, .9999 is ideal and .999 is the minimum from most literature I have read.
From the literature I have read, the difference between .999 and .9999 isn't sufficient to worry about. One study showed that the water, even distilled is likely to contain more impurities than the silver at .999.
So you might want to worry about your waters purity than the difference between the two.
Of course if I was selling .9999 silver I would be hysterical and try to scare you into buying my product.
99.9 or three nine is so close to 99.99 or four nine silver that the difference isn't worth worrying about. You'll probly find three nine is somewhere around 99.98% in purity which is only a gnats whisker off 99.99. They can't list it as 99.99 because it falls just below that assay. Any impurities are so minimal in amount in the scheme of things that they ain't gunna hurt anything anyway, and that's right, the water used and any other possible introduced contaminants should be of more concern than the silver. One will find that the 99.9 is not the *exact* %, it's usually a bees whisker off 99.99 in percentage of purity, usually assayed and listed as 99.9+ or 'plus' % purity.
People needn't get caught up in the marketing or media hype, three nine silver is fine if four nine is a tad too expensive or unprocurable for anyone. Just make sure it's *pure fine silver* and not jewellery or sterling silver that's all.
FYI: Whenever you order from them and an item is not currently on sale, be sure to use the CureZone discount code of LR001 to get 15% off. That would make their wire about $1.24 a foot (plus shipping).
Thx. I just ordered from ebay, a USA supplier who apparently will ship to Canada. Price was about $12 a foot, but has since gone up to 13 or 14. It is 99.99 pure, but who knows, no way to check that. According to articles i've read, 99.99 is ten time more pure than 99.9. You could be right in that it may not actually make any difference in the end. I am just happy that i will be able to make my own supply of cs, so i can be more generous with it. At the cost of $27 per 500ml, one has to be somewhat conservative.
Here are four ways you can save significant money and still buy a quality commercial product to use at least some of the time:
1) The key when it comes to Utopia Silver's commercial product is catching it on sale, which it usually is a couple of times a month (usually at 25% off) or at least 2) using the CZ discount code when it isn't. Or better still, 3) buying their Silver Bullet generator and getting a lifetime buy-one get-one free offer on their 500 ml bottles. It doesn't take long to "pay" for the cost of the generator (a little over $100 with timer and tester when you use the discount code) with the savings on the commercial product and that is pretty much the best of both worlds I think: having a very good basic generator that turns out a very good inexpensive home product for general use while also being able to have some of the very best commercial product when needed.
If it were me, whether or not I opted for the Silver Bullet or one of the good and popular silver makers favored by many here (such as the Silver Puppy, SilverEdge, SilverGen, Sota, etc.), I would definitely have a home generator on hand and 4) make my own for general use and also keep some of the best stuff (such as Utopia Silver of Mesosilver) around in case a really tough bug or condition came around, which should cut back on the use and costs of using a commercial product extensively.
On the other hand, I would not buy a commercial product simply because it has a good sales pitch and website hype. Many of those don't have much more than marketing going for them and in many instances are little better than what you can make at home with a quality generator.
I think you miss the whole message of Bob Beck. Sure for the people whole just want to rely on the establishment to fix them, buying from a commercial suppler is fine. But what happens when the government finally bans commercial sales altogether. And what about those of us who like to tinker and really cant afford the commercial stuff, which is grossly overpriced. As for commercially sold generators, yes buying a ready made unit is fine for some, but again why is the price so high its little more than a few batteries and alligator clips. The wire sold for those units is again over priced. If the commercial suppliers were not profiteering it would be easier to support them.
I don't miss the point. I think it is essential to have the means to make your own silver at home in the event that sales do become banned and it is likewise essential to have the information out there on how to make your own generator in the event that generator sales are likewise banned. The commercial units are hardly just a few batteries and alligator clips though, at least not so when it comes to the better ones. The Silver Bullet is a no-frills unit and is reasonably priced. Likewise the Silver Puppy, SilverEdge, Silver Gen, Sota, etc, units that have additional features and the clamshell covers and such are reasonably priced for what they include. With so many manufacturers competing against one another, don't you think one or more would price their units a lot less if there was a tremendous amount of profit? When you take into account the costs of equipment plus labor plus the overhead of having a staff and facility, the prices are not that out of line in my opinion.
Likewise, when you look at the top two colloidal silver products and the equipment and operations behind them, you can't simply make a claim of how overpriced the product is based on the silver content alone, as many try to do. Both Utopia Silver and Mesosilver have literally hundreds of thousands of dollars to perhpas a million dollars or more invested, plus thier facilites and staff. You don't pay for that by charging a couple of bucks a bottle for the silver solutions they make. The products that I think are out of line price-wise are the ones where their setup is little more than a garage operation which uses only a larger version of the typical EIS generator and which rely on bogus sales hype which pretends that their EIS solutions are somehow uniquely superior to all other silver solutions.
"The establishment"? While I agree that a great many people wat to be able to simply buy a commercial product, I hardly consider the owners of the top silver solutions and silver generator makers to be anywhere close to being "the establishment". I know most of them and they are just the opposite.
I like Beck's message a lot. However, I disagree with him on some things, such as his take on garlic, and I wonder why virtually no one has been able to duplicate his hair growth and restored hair color the way he claims to have done. I also disagree with making your own product from a nine volt battery and tap water like he did. There is nothing wrong with tinkering around and making your own generator, but if you do it too much on the cheap then you end up with a vastly inferior product. It may beat nothing, but it isn't what I would want to take if I had a choice.
Perhaps i think as i do because i dont really see any direct comparisons of what a simple 9 volt generator produces vs the more expensive generators. As of now i know there are two things to consider, ppm and particle size. i'd like to see a detailed side by side comparison, so that i could make a more informed choice.
I wonder how spending thousands or millions on a factory can benefit the end user. Of course a factory in a garage suggests possible inferior production but not necessarily.
I also question bob beck on the garlic and hair thing, but who knows.
thx for the chart. Not sure i can completely understand the meaning. Pity that the home brew has little stats, but the comparison between the commercial suppliers is startling. Still, i dont know what this all means in the long run. No matter how you do the math, it costs more to buy commercial product even tho it may be less effective, but how much do we really need. Thats one reason i cant help loving Bob Beck, he really seems to care about keeping the cost within everyones reach. Commercial operations today no longer consider this!!!
One of my Yahoo group members who has one of the more popular home units (the one actually measured in the chart) and a Silver Bullet reports that the Silver Bullet works solution works noticeably better than the solution from the other unit but that neither of them work as well as the Advanced Colloidal Silver. Likewise I have seen and personally heard scores and scores of unsolicited testimonials saying that Advanced Colloidal Silver worked better for both topical and internal applications than did other mostly ionic solutions. Remember, I have spent more than a year working in or nearby the Utopia Silver offices and part of that time Luella was down there and helped answer the phones.
I also recall the post not long ago where a person sprayed slices of bread with Advanced Colloidal Silver and ionic colloidal silver and the ACS slice remained mold free long after the other slice was covered with mold.
As far as silver in the bloodstream, the paper I have posted more than once by a group of silver experts explains that colloidal silver enters the bloodstream faster and more efficiently than colloidal silver and provides a surface for the slower ionic particles to plate onto. The clear inference is that it takes both colloidal and ionic silver for maximum internal effectiveness. How much colloidal content is best might be debateable, but at any rate most silver solutions contain a mixture of both ionic and colloidal silver.
Mind you, I am not saying that mostly ionic won't get the job done in most instances. It may just take more. And I am sure with all of your experience that you make a very good quality silver solution and know what you are talking about. When it comes to making home colloidal silver I tip my hat to you, JAB.
It does seem obvious that u work for this company, so i checked the site and found the following price "16oz Bottle $52.95 + 15.60", wow! I am on my first 16 oz bottle from a local health food store and can see it wont last long, maybe a month and i am not sick. A sick person presumably would use considerably more. I dont use it for anything except a teaspoon full a few times a day internally. I would like to take advantage of other uses eg, sterilizing purposes etc but certainly cant afford to at the $27 i paid. I am not knocking your product just amazed at the price.
Do other sellers hear similar responses as your phone people? Maybe! I hope so. I'd like to think it doesnt matter who makes it, and that it just works.
Since i am not sick and rarely are, cs is really only interesting at the grassroots level. Its because i will be able to make it myself from simple materials that i remain interested in it.
Am very interested if anyone has experimented with cs with cancer patients, most particularly anyone who has gone to Africa to research it. I have been there three times, before discovering cs and now would like to return with some cs for research.
Actually, I don’t work directly for any company. If you are referring to Utopia Silver, it is owned by a lifelong friend of mine and yes, it is one of the companies I am a sales affiliate for - but I never put an affiliate link in this or any other support forum. Though I do make a fairly meager amount of money from affiliate sales, such money does not come from support forums and the majority of the very modest amount of money I make comes from the articles I and my partner write (we are both natural health authors) and Google Adsense along with sales of an ebook I w ...

I really meant HIV not cancer! But seems Oleander is for both. Strange that this seems to treat exactly the same things as cs. Now I am a little more scepticlal that before. How is it possible there is two similar cures for cancer and hiv, that are basically ignored by the medical community. Both are cheap to produce, one is readily available in Africa! I dont know what to think now, this has messed me up, Bob Beck was so believable.

I've had a mild case of stomach flu for over a week. Must have eaten some tainted food. This time my self made Ionic silver didn't take care of it. LugolsIodine seems to be helping the most. Well anyway I decided to give the expensive small particle manufactured product a try. Drank 1/3 of the bottle. It also did nothing.
If silver will kill the bug my silver works as good as any. I recommend getting one of these. Or something similar.
There's no stats for home produced stuff cos every home producer will be producing something slightly different, dependant on the uniqueness of each home producers unit's construction or configuration, combined with any ancillary equipment, methods and practices incorporated into their production process.
Not sure if that was a typo about commercial products being less effective, I'm sure they would disagree with that comment, they insist *theirs* is the best. If you know what you're doing, are happy with what you make, and it appears to be efficacious...then *that's* the best product available...it's all effective.
And that was Beck's whole idea, making it practical and affordable for anyone who wanted to produce it...until the marketers got their hands on it and started competing with each other for your money. If he were still around today he would agree also that *any* water is not good enough, he would have understood that DW is preferable, but he got people to look into making their own, and that was the main objective.
"And what about those of us who like to tinker and really cant afford the commercial stuff"
That's great! But don't tinker, know what you're doing.
That's the problem today, to many people are tinkering and only have enough information to be dangerous. As your next statement shows.
"its little more than a few batteries and alligator clips."
Actually, that's fairly accurate, however, without knowing what that "little more" is, you simply have an inferior to undesirable product.
That's like saying a nuclear bomb is little more than some plutonium, C4 and a few wires. Again, true that would make quite a radioactive mess, but would not yield what you are looking for. Nuclear vs dirty bomb.
As for pricing, one needs to replace the product sold and some still needs to go towards growth, labor, income, etc.
In today's current market income is not even a consideration for some.
The market is tough right now with everybody and their brother telling you all you need to make "Quality Colloidal Silver " is a couple of batteries, couple of wires and 2 pieces of silver. I even saw one post a few minutes ago on another site that recommended buying silver shot, melting it and skimming it as a source for the silver.
Not to mention the wonderful job Washington is doing with our economy.
Some people actually believe this garbage. Then they cry boo hoo I turned blue from Colloidal Silver .
Do you see my point? You need to "know" what you're doing and not just "think you know" what you're doing. Research, ask questions then do more research and so on.
I've been doing this for over 10 years and I am still learning stuff.
Meanwhile quality vendors are being constantly bombarded with blue people, deceptive consumer report campaigns, FDA, EPA and pharma, plus all the nut jobs that actually believe and propagate that junk.
In my opinion, a good price range is between $125.00 and say $225.00. Below this price you get what you pay for "in most cases" an inferior finished product. Above that you are probably wasting your money.
Again, in my opinion, current regulation at or below 1.5ma is the main consideration.
Anything else added is strictly for the convenience of the customer, like auto stirring - you can stir it manually, auto timer get a watch, etc. These features are nice, but if you want to be "frugal" rather than convenienced, you don't need them.
That being said, don't use price alone, research again. How does the machine work, does it regulate the current, how does it regulate the current, etc.
And if you're all excited because you made a yellow solution in just 30 minutes, you have junk. With a good machine, yellow takes well over 1.5 hrs and beyond the very lightest yellow is undesirable.
Another consideration might be what is supplied with the generator at no additional cost. Like mixing jar, storage bottle, shipping, etc.
Note: A resistor alone cannot provide adequate current regulation.
hello, all... my elderly father got a 2nd degree burn (boiling coffee) and refuses to go to the hospital and all he'll allow me to do is my best with herbs and tinctures that i have here. i have some charcoal caps and i thought they might be 'drawing', but i don't want to take any chances with his health so i was wondering if any of you know whether charcoal would be safe to use as a poultice (and whether it would be beneficial to the wound)... and would it be a bad idea or a good idea to keep the wound moist such as with silicone sheeting or plastic wrap - or should we let the wound breathe?
and other than that, i never cease to be amazed by the wisdom people here have so, i welcome any home remedies that any of you might be willing to take the time to share...
thank you all, cz community, for always being there for me AND not just me, helping me take care of my parents too...
Also, I once burned my hand so severely I
was going into shock. Blisters were sheeted
across my hand that I had a pan of boiling
water spill on. I used lavender essential
oil and it was almost miraculous...so I can
recommend that also...you can cut it with
some carrier oil or aloe might be good too.
You should keep the area constantly moist and the best thing you can do BY FAR is to keep the wound constantly moist with colloidal silver. Though mainstream medicine tends to disavow and villify silver because of the huge threat it represents to their billions in annual profits from patentend antibiotics, major burn centers use silver burn ointments and silver bandages extensively - often with the result that even third degree burns heal without scarring.
Silver will prevent any infection and will greatlly aid the healing process, likely because as Dr. Robert Becker reported, silver has the ability to induce fibrocytes to dedifferentiate into stem cells.
NOTE: the colloidal silver works even better in combination with aloe vera - but you should get a fresh aloe vera plant and cut out the inner leaf fillets instead of relying on commercial products.
Other recommendations would be manuka honey, lavender essential oil and potato slices (Cut a potato in half and put it on the burn area. The starch neutralizes the burn, pain and future scarring. Also works great on sunburns.) Though I would save the potato remedy until after you have used one or more of the other items for initial healing, given the more serious nature of the burns as you described them.
One thing that helps speed virtually all healing is the supplement Bromelain, which is an extract of the pineapple plant that you take internally.
Do not use cotton directly on burns as it adheres to it. Do not apply Ink, Mercurochrome, greases or baking soda over burnt area, and do not try to peel it loose.
After the wound has healed, taking plenty of digestive enzymes on an empty stomach two to three times a day can help eliminate and lessen any residual scarring.
Yes, charcoal would be safe but it won't do much. A burn is very serious. I would've place ice on the wound to stop the flesh from cooking so to speak. Every time I put ice immediately on burn or singed flesh it helps tremendously. The problem with home herbs and tinctures is that they are mild and not at all potent enough on their own to help with serious issues as these. I know from personal exp.
All is going to happen is he's going to be left with very ugly scars and it will take longer to heal without medical help. Plus infection and bacteria can set it. Charcoal is no match for hardy bacteria. I have taken microbiology before in school and I know some forms of infectious bacteria are strong and aggressive.
thank you everybody, so much, for helping me... i really appreciate your taking the time to share remedies and cautions with me and, i'll do the best i can to take care of my father because he won't go to the doctor...
Lavender oil is supposed to be good for burns. hydrated clay is good for clay according to Perry Aldridge, owner of website living clay. She says to keep it wet so I guess you'd need to wrap it with seran wrap to keep the clay wet. I have Aztec Secret clay that I've used for years. Since finding out about Perry's site, I now keep some hydrated in a jar and pull it out for all kinds of boo boos, haven't tried it on burns yet, though. But, if ya got any, it sure would feel cooling and that would feel good on a burn.
I recently purchased this product dermatend and was using it to get rid of my moles and as i was applying this product which contains bloodroot as its main ingredient, i was supposed to scratch the surface of the mole to make it bleed a little bit and then apply a small amount of the paste on it,
put a bandaid on, and wait untill scab forms the next day.
So i did all as it said in the instructions and i applyied this to 35 moles all over my body and it reacted with all of them! I felt pain for almost a week..
i had this holes on some of the moles which scabs fell of prematurelly, i had and infection(puss that came out of some of the holes)i was cleaning my infected little wounds(6mm width 6mm length 4mm depth)with 96%alchohol and squeeze the puss and apply ampicillin antibiotic on it daily so the infection cleared up in a week and then the holes filled with new skin in about 3 to 4 weeks i cant remmember exactly.
and so i am now left with a redness on my skin and i dont know wheather i caused myself burns from 2nd or 3rd degree?? whether i will have scars or not??
I was putting contractubex which has the same ingredients as mederma and its made by the same company also..i know its good for fading reddness. And im very worried about this will i have scars? and for how much long will this redness stays untill it fades completely"
I would never recommend using a bloodroot salve to anyone. Anybody who is contemplating it should first read Ingrid Naiman's book Cancer Salves. Never scratch the surface of a mole. Yes, bloodroot leaves scars and the scars are ugly. If I could do ti over, I would go to a dermatologist and have mine removed to minimize the scarring. It is very important to remove all the infected tissue, otherwise the disease can spread rapidly.
Silver is used in hospital burn units and often prevents even third degree burns from scarring. Not only does it wipe out and prevent infection but it also helps to regenerate and repair tissue. According to Robert Beck in "The Body Electric", silver has the ability to cause blood cells to convert to stem cells.
I recently went to the dentist to get a porcelain filling. As I was driving home, the novocaine began to wear off and I noticed a burning sensation on my upper lips and chin. When I looked in the mirror, I noticed a that I had a blister forming and that a white-ish powery crust had formed on my upper lip. It looked and felt like a chemical burn. When I tasted the "powder", it was very sour, like citric acid . When I got home, I washed off my face and a layer of skin came a way. I called my dentist and he said that it was an allergy to latex, or the white powder from the inside of his gloves. Can this be possible? It didn't seem like an allergic reaction, it really felt and looked like a localized chemical burn.
If it smells like a duck and quacks like a duck it probably is a duck. I am betting dollars to donuts that you got some acid etch on your lip and chin. This would account for the citric acid sour taste and the white spot/sloughed skin. THe good news it will get better, it may burn and itch some but it will get better.
Sorry, but this forum is for Breast Cancer Alternatives, just as this entire website is for alternative information. The last thing we need or want to see here is advice to go to a mainstream doctor whose first option is often to whack the breast off and whose other options are attempting the same failed and barbaric mainstream treatments of attempting to burn out or poison out the mere symptoms of cancer without addressing the underlying causes.
Mainstream breast cancer treatments are an abomination! Period.
Truer words have never been spoken :) Screw mainstream medical tyranny. Its an outdated model that has proven time and time again its worthlessness (with a track record of millions in the morgue for following the supposed "gold standard" of cancer treatment)
My son was helping his grandma to cook this morning, and a couple of drops of cooking oil sprayed on his face (mostly on the chin/lower cheek area) and those spots blistered.
I applied tea tree oil, sprayed Colloidal Silver on it.
For me, Tea tree oil always worked in the past on my own burns. My burnes never blistered because of it...
Is there a better way to treat this, so there are not going to be scars/pain, etc?
My most stunning experience with Young Living lavender essential oil was when I cut into the end of an index finger, nearly to the bone.
I immediately pressed down on the cut with my thumb; then grabbed the bottle of lavender oil, and applied one drop to the open cut.
Instantly, all pain and bleeding stopped, and I promptly forgot about the injury and went back to making dinner. (I probably avoided dunking that finger, but I don't remember.)
A few days later I remembered to look at the fingertip...there was no sign it had ever been wounded.
Thought you might like to know how a very good lavender oil feels on open flesh.
Also, only a 'nose' (trained for 20 years) can tell the differences between true, properly-processed, lavender oil; lavendin, which comes from hybrid plants that don't produce seeds; and adulterated versions.
(There are at least two ways to extract lavender oil...one is slower and cooler.)
Buy from a supplier who states 'therapeutic quality'.
A kinesiologist friend says there isn't enough lavender in the world.
Plant lavender plants grown from seeds. They are quite hardy; tend to grow in nice round clumps - without care; seem to overcome grass and weeds; smell wonderful; and are great for many, many wholesome uses.
Visit a lavender farm...it's gloriously beautiful. Take pictures.
If you still feel some heat, never apply oils as it holds the heat in.
Aloe Vera is best immediately after a burn. However, when you don't feel anymore heat, you can apply the lavender oil. Make sure it is the real thing because most products do not include real Lavender. It’s very expensive and difficult to extract Lavender oil so most products use another plant.
Miracle II Neutralizing Gel.
Emu Oil to help prevent scars.
I burned the palm of my hand rather badly the other day when I touched a 450F iron skillet by accident. After immediately cooling it down with water/brief ice in a towel, I put fresh aloe on it. I put 2 applications of Miracle II Neutralizing gel on it over the next 4 hours, then that night I put more fresh aloe on it. I didn't have any pain after the first app of the miracle II and it didn't end up blistering and it is already a pretty small place on my hand and I am seriously amazed, because when I first burned it I thought it would be really bad.
Anyone that can help me I would greatly appreciate it...
I had laser hair removal done on my legs. A friend that is a doctor volunteered to do it for free on me. Lucky me....
the result is all of these 2nd degree burns over 80% of the front of my legs from the ankle to above the knee.
I want to speed healing and minimize scarring as best I can. What are some of the foods and nutirents and vitamins that i should use to help this process? Any recommendations in terms of topical creams or remedies? Now I look like a burn vicitm.
My self esteem wasn't off the charts before this. It just happned less than two weeks ago, but I feel like I'll never be attractive to a guy ever gain....I know I am being dramatic, but I am so upset right now.
Thanks for any advice feel free to send it to my yahoo account too - lm_parker.
MH's B&W as well as BF&C (either or both) are good for wound healing, I believe B&W salve moreso for burns. Outside of these, Aloe Vera gel (the real stuff AKA Barbadensis Miller [sp?]) is good both topically and taken internally, as are things that promote circulation and removal of waste (drinking water, for instance).
Since this is the MH forum, vitamins are not well received or promoted here, but in another world, C, E and A are supposed to be good for helping skin, complexion, healing, free-radical scavenging, etc.
I'm sorry to be confusing. It wasn't that long ago when I was new to the forum and perplexed by these terms as well. I shoulda known better!
"MH" is the Master Herbalist here, also known as the Barefoot Herbalist.
"BF&C" is Dr. John Christopher's Blood, Flesh & Cartilage formula. Google "BF&C + Dr. Christopher" and you'll learn a ton about it.
I am planning to make some for myself as I'm experiencing some very scary varicose vein issues. :o/
