What is the REIKI - Testimonies and experiences
We are Tony and Lea, two French Reiki practitioners. We have already sent an email to the generic email address of the International Center for Reiki Training. Indeed, we are today in Peru (Iquitos) as volunteers in a clinic that focuses on heavy cancer cases. As part of this experience, we practice Reiki on patients, and we would like to share our experience.
One patient (multiple cancers, terminal stage) gave a testimony about the benefits of Reiki, the video is really wonderful and very touching ... We'd love to share this video to sensitize people to the maximum :)
If ever it could stir your curiosity, you can see the testimony of Biabiana and more informations about reiki on our Youtube Chanel: Tony et Léa.
(French and Spanish voices but Subtitles in English are available)
In parallel, we continue to spend much time on the construction of videos for those purposes.
Hoping that it can spread this practice and open people's mind about Reiki and energetic therapies :)
This is exciting! Passing on an email I got from raw reform/raw food world this seems to be similar to the food revolution summit I recently posted about here but focused on things like nutrition for kids, childbirth, breastfeeding etc

Here is the info about the conscious parenting summit I received from Matt Monarch and Angela Stokes-Monarch
Greetings, Divine Dancer of the Light :)
People say that I am an "extremist", because of my strict 100% Raw Food D!et, how I raise my child through natural means, my dedication and focus toward anything I put my attention to, and so on.
I personally don't see any of this as being an "extremist". From my perspective I just see myself setting the "new norm" for Oria to witness.
Angela and I wanted to do everything in our power to help everyone (ourselves very much included) to further understand the importance and practical know-how of all the aspects of conscious birthing and parenting. We feel that how we raise this next generation has the biggest potential to impact the conscious evolution of our species in the most positive way.
So, we created the free Conscious Parenting Summit event, starting soon, which you can sign up for at the link below:
What is the Conscious Parenting Summit?
We interviewed 16 of the foremost conscious parenting experts in the world. Starting this May 22nd, we will air a different one of these interviews daily, for free, for 16 days.
To learn how to get free access to this entire event, you can click the link below and sign up by putting your email address in the field to the right of the video:
We feel that the main reason why we had such a peaceful birth and why Oria is as healthy and happy as she is, is due to the amazing information shared by the speakers who are appearing in this Summit.
It was Ingrid Bauer's book that enabled us to understand how to raise Oria Diaper Free, for example. It was Laura Shanley's book that gave us the confidence to do an unassisted birth without any hospitals, midwifes or doulas. It was Shazzie's book which gave us the information on getting specific and key nutrients for Oria's growth such as DHA and choline for brain development. It was Elena Vladirimova who taught us how to clean up and transmute any dramas from our own birthing experiences. Naomi Aldort's book taught us how to communicate and cooperate with our child after she was born, and the list goes on and on.
You can only imagine how excited we were to be able to interview each one of these amazing people! In each one of these interviews, we asked the most important questions that we believe you'd love to know the answers to as well.
Below is a list of all of our esteemed speakers, along with the subjects that they are speaking on:
Robin Lim (CNN Hero of the Year 2011) - Lotus Birthing, Breastfeeding, Bonding
Barbara Harper - Water Birthing
Laura Shanley - Unassisted Birthing
Ingrid Bauer - Diaper Free
Sarah Buckley, MD - Placenta Transfusion, Dangers of Early Cord Cutting; Breastfeeding & Co-sleeping

I hope others will listen in, My kids are grown and in their 30s but I reared them via attachment parenting and am excited to see similar ways of rearing kids more widely heard and excited to hear what new developments have taken place since then
Got an additional email on this summit here is what it said
Greetings, Divine Dancer of the Light :)
Thank you all for all of your positive feedback and suggestions so far about "The Conscious Parenting Summit"! :-)
I read all of your comments and suggestions, which included other possible speakers, covering a larger range of topics such as information regarding older children and teenagers, and much more. We are now in talks about possibly doing a "Conscious Parenting Summit 2" and possibly offering other b0nus items at the end of this Conscious Parenting Summit, to help fulfill some of these requests.
There were other questions from people asking if they can just 0rder these interviews for download to play on their iP0d now and also if there are transcripts available of the interviews, for those who also like to read the information. The answer is yes to both and you can order all of these items at the link below. Also included at this link are many of the speakers' books/DVDs, plus supplements recommended for pregnancy and raising healthy children.
Included among these books are speaker Robin Lim's eBooks. The phys!cal copies of these books are rare these days, since Robin became "CNN Hero Of The Year 2011" last year and her books are now in HUGE demand - on Amazon they go for about $250 new and $55 used. They are available here in our Summit, with Robin's permission, in ebook format, for just $15.95 each.
These books include "After the Baby's Birth" and her ground-breaking "Placenta" book, which is the only book we found on Lotus Birthing. Furthermore, you may love to know that a percentage of all sales in this Summit go towards supporting the work of Robin Lim's amazing "Bumi Sehat" foundation in Bali, where she and her team help mothers and babies who are often in dire need of assistance, plus the community at large.
Additionally, all of the other authors' books are available at great prices too in the Summit store.

I am considering simplifying my diet.
Basically, it would be interesting to know the philosophy behind macrobiotics...
I like Zen Buddhism and those guys tended to just eat rice (I'm talking about patriarchs and their monks here, I don't know what things are like today...) ....
So it makes me wonder, if their diets were just like the "brown rice fast" that people talk about.
To be honest, the brown rice fast doesn't sound that bad, but then again, I haven't tried it yet :p
Thing is, I've eaten so many rich foods, I think this is why I'm getting ill...
People say to eat more rich foods to build yourself up .etc, but it seems it can just act as a stimulant... Like a drug that picks you up, but after you are left the same, or worse, then before. It’s like “eat fish oil, chocolate, meat, lots of fat”. Which does seem to be good at creating hormones and stuff, but maybe it leads to a kind of burn-out in the end…. Again, like drugs….
I've been observing the foods I react well to these days....
Brown rice is pretty benign to me.... Despite anti-candida people saying "no grains" , it seems I react to it even better then most meat....
The anti-candida diets kind of funny because you can't eat anything!
It’s like “No carbohydrates, no sugar, only specific types of meat (and how can you find/afford it?)….” , then what the hell can I eat?! I think a lifetime brown rice fast sounds more practical then that sometimes! Also, I have done a zero carbohydrate diet before (mostly beef, eggs, butter, lots of fat (if you want to do zero carb you needs MOST the calories to come from fat)) ….. The anti-candida diet, the way it’s usually described, tends to sound like the Paleo diet….
Anyway, I digress.
Also I have been observing that butter and cream, aren’t as good as I used to think they were for me (back when I was a low to no-carber, they were like “superfoods” lol).
Also I feel the need for less meat… Just losing interest.
Either way though, I’d much rather have meat, then eggs or milk. Cheese is OK though.
If I do go through with it, I’ll be flexi…. Like a flexi-macrobiotic , flexibiotic? Meaning you take the food you can get, but when you have the choice you are macrobiotic.
My main problem with vegetarian and vegan diet has been the pungance of the food!
That is what always revolted me about vegetarian/vegan diets, the garlic, the hummus, the olives, and other such slimy things.
I don’t get it… If people want to sell their diet, why don’t they have some less intimidating food? I think the truth is their taste buds are as shot (or maybe more so ;) ) then a meat eaters…
I’m sure if they gave me some rice, vegetables, some herb tea, and perhaps some miso soup on the side, I would think its fine! Sourdough bread, and some nut butter, that’s nice…. But what is with this weird stuff?! Just creeps me out (sorry guys, I have to say it, my taste buds are very sensitive)….
/********* END RANT - onto the question ********/
Does anyone know any vegan/vegetarian/macrobiotic diet/cook books that have meals that are very simple to prepare, and quite bland?
Where can I get started… ? Any advice for me?
Do you think such a simple natural diet can help candida?
... It is a compensation for ignorance, an effort to appear scientific when there is no science. ... ... ... ~ ... ... yes!! ... *excellent article* After all my years of studying health and healing and the many different bodily systems and even ’diseases’, this make me feel I can throw away most of my binders full of notes. I hope it likewise opens someone else’s eyes to the simplicity of the whole endeavour of health. And may it empty the offices of the ... specialists, and cause them all to shake their heads and feel as though they’ve awoken from a dream! well, okay....that last is a bit Over the top. ... ~ ... ... only according to thirst might be an excellent way to allow the body to take a break from its attempts to control potential or existing disorders, while allowing the mind
a detachment from the limiting belief that it is actually (even) food, after all, that keeps body and soul together.
After a fast, it bcomes so evident that it is only very small amounts of some particular food (herb, fruit, vegetable, nut...)that the body truly needs. (The rule here might be akin to the Natural Hygienist's rule of water fasting: to do it for as little time as necessary in order to achieve the most benefit. Thus, less strain upon digestion'assimilation as the main activity, and more energy available to turn the body's capacities to higher processes.)
Large amounts of food are indicative of one's 'starving', via the cells being overloaded with non-food oils and unnatural sugars and excess proteins likely... This catch-22 perpetuates a belief that one is "the body", (or is trapped thereby) since there can be no vibrating at a higher, creative rate, unless and until the gravity (being a thing headed to the grave)of the body is overcome.
I'm starting to really get a sense of the wisdom behind the dictum to "let your food be your medicine..."
Think of the size of a lozenge of truly medicinal herb, berry or other so called "superfood".
What if we were to have faith the size of a mustard seed (!) that the body doesn't run on shovelfulls of food, like some over-fed furnace, gobbling up trees?
After a water fast, if allowed to go its natural way, the body, and the eye of mind, will reach for a leaf of herb, a single fruit, a spoonful of cranberries and apple
baked together with no sweetener added... and these things are elixirs. What about pine needle tea? Infusions of backberry leaf and fruit. A saucer of velvety wilted greens in a dressing of mineral-rich (nettle and deandelion-infused) apple cidar vinegar. What about one delicious snow apple? (I remember as a kid after Hallowe'en; after sorting the sweets into heaps according to my sister's scale of 'best to worst', pushing aside all the candy in favour of that one, crisp, healing apple.)
We've moved so far away from a natural way to live, which would be 'eating to live', rather than 'living to eat', that we forget there is a huge natural pharmacopia, a floracopia outside our four -or umpteen- walls. I'm saddend to think of how little I know of the plants that grow near me, where I walk every day. How little I am able to communicate with them, or hear what they'd say. Not that I want to know their names in order to control them, as medicine controls populations by giving them labels to put on their diseases, and then feeding them patented medicines by the vialfuls.
I'd like to know what to nibble on, as I pass. One good idea I recently read for people who want to become more attuned to the healing nature of nibbling, rather than sitting down to platefuls, is to watch what your pets nibble on, on rare occasions. (dog and cat, I'm thinking, not neccesarily iguana) A leaf of a certain grass or herb... and to have a small amount of this yourself on occasion. It becomes very healing then, in minute quanitites-- And perhaps this gift of one's animal friends, you might say, attunes us to be wiser about how little we need to be open to, and appreciative of abundance within, without, all around. That we are ourselves of the very nature of wholeness: this is what "healing thought" is about. Part of the theory here must be the ages-old herbal wisdom that your 'medicine' always grows nearby.
Do you have any advice on how to help with toxemia. I seem to have a inflamed pancreas without elevated enzymes. The problems started after I breastfed 2 babies then my gallbladder got inflamed they removed that a couple years ago. Then I believe I got a mineral deficiency from not eating well & eating lots junk food & pop on top of the breatsfeeding now I have candida. While trying to get rid of the candida I went on a high fat & protein diet with lots antifungals & binged on junk a few times then my pancreas started to hurt. Now its going on 4 months with this pain. I need help! I've been juicing alot veggies lately.
