Dear Dr Jeff,
I have just completed the plan. I have had the following improvements:
Chronic fatigue almost gone.
I am able to function first thing in the morning. I used to be wooly headed and have vertigo.
Less spaced out.
I have been able to add bananas and mangoes to my diet.
However, many symptoms are still with me:
Severe food intolerances.
Anxiety and feelings of terror although this could be down to PTSD from which I suffer.
Feeling cold with low temperature.
Eczema all over my body.
You may remember that I was unable to tolerate the Detox Essentials. I was also not very consistant with the blood sugar protocol due to work load. I used distilled aloa Vera to heal the gut and took the uneconomic acid and probiotics religiously. I also had two saunas per day throughout the plan.
My intentions are to carry on with the probiotics and take Five undecenoic capsules per day. I also intend to follow the blood sugar protocol seriously. Do you think I will eventually get there? I felt from the beginning that just 16 weeks to a final cure probably would not happen for me. I do not understand why there has been virtually no change with my food intolerances. This problem is the most upsetting.
Do you have any further advice to give?
At the moment I intend to carry on with

I think that your improvements with the Plan are good indicators of your progress. Sticking to the Blood Sugar Protocol can definitely provide more benefits. You may need to supplement with HCL for the eczema and digestion of foods. That can help with many of your remaining issues. The Maintenance protocol with the supplements can help.

Thank you for your advice. I have actually discovered my eczema cure over the last few days. I upped my intake of water four days ago and my eczema has been clearing. Particularly in the last two days. I think I read in one of your posts that eczema occurs when the body cannot eliminate toxins quickly enough and therefor they come out through the skin. It seems that way with me. I think the extra water is helping with that and my fluid retention has improved too. I will also continue with the saunas. Onwards and upwards!

Maybe you still have candida ? I can tell you have leaky gut try avoiding everything that you react to I would first start off with a colon cleanse and take l-glutamine it helps heal the lining of the gut.
Any idea dr mccombs if i put mineral oil or mineral patches on my skin i get dizziness. It makes me tired i have sensitive stomach so i can not take any vitamins so i try to absorb through the skin. Thanks
Burning skin sensation all over...can candida cause this?
I'm at my wits end...been to 3 doctors and no one knows what is wrong. I am a 52 year old female, menopausal (9 mos no cycle) and diagnosed with genital Lichen Sclerosus earlier this year.
In late July, I woke up with a swollen dry lip that would burn and sometimes feels numb (it's not badly swollen, just enough that I sometimes hit it with my top teeth when I talk or eat). 2 weeks later, every time I would put on my daily moisturizer, my face would sting for a while then subside.
August: face skill starts to burn all over. Heartburn starts. A hot sensation from the stomach up to the throat that makes my tongue burn. Saw my MD, she could not figure it out but said my throat was red. Not sure why my face was burning. She did blood work:
A1C: Not sure of the number right now but it was normal range
TSH: 2.61 (normal lab range)
CBC: all normal range.
Dr. says it's anxiety. Gives me buspar and sends me on my way. Buspar doesn't work.
September: Now I have all the above PLUS; skin is burning all over body. No redness, just a sensation of burning.
Now have high pitch in ears like ciccadas or high pitch electronic sound (like the old says when you would walk by a house and could "hear" the eletronic noise from the TV inside).
October. All the above and now my eyes feel weird. Feels like heat is coming off my face and irritates them. Saw a dermatologist who thought Rosacea but my face doesn't turn red. I do have broken capillaries but nothing that would cause so much burning. Feels like my face is sunburned. Metrogel made it worse. Saw a neurologist who did a neuro exam and brain MRI. No signs of MS and scan looks normal, so is exam. Says Anxiety and suggests I use an SSRI which my MD then switched me from Buspar to Zoloft. Still burning. Back to the derm who says it could be an allergy and suggests allegra daily for 2 weeks to see what happens.
I also have bumps on my scalp..they are filled with white but don't itch. They cause my scalp to feel sore. I also notice I am not sweating like I used to. I've had them for over a year now.
I would accept the Rosacea but how does that cause the whole body to have the same burning? Also, I have not found anything that says Rosacea inclues the lips. The facial capillaries do make me wonder though. They are at my nostril opening and along the sides of my nose even though it's my whole face that burns. My pores are enlarged in those areas plus chin and forehead but to be honest, I have had that all my life.
Could all these symptoms be from possible Candida? What about the sound in my ears?

Hi. The burning sensation all over the body is anxiety reaction if the body stays under stress for long time with some form of inflammation that can happen i think. It gets worse if you eat the wrong food or drink. Dr Mccombs can advice you best what work for me best is daily meditation with relaxing music or you can try to learn how to do tre.

Thank you Arong55. Anxiety seems to be the common diagnosis here. I hadn't realized it could cause burning skin sensations. I had been under a lot of stress prior to the symptoms coming on. I thought I was doing a good job of controlling them but apparently not. The Buspar/Zoloft made me feel so "flat", I was like the walking dead. I'll have to go check out some meditation vidoes.

Hi.I had so much anxitety do to candida i done the Mccombs plan and dr mccombs recommend me to do the meditation and i feel lot better now but i still get them burning sometime if i am in a streesfull sitiuation.Dr Mccombs will never allow you to take this medication many people get heavy head and flat kind of feeling as you said. Try Depak chopra meditation i am just trying tre (trauma release exercises) dr mccombs said its very helpfull but the meditation will definitely help you lower the anxity and it will help with burning even your eyes will feel better.

Yes, you're experiencing the effects of candida. It will lower the HCL level of the stomach which then leads skin problems like rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, and dermatitis. Trauma stored in the body can suppress HCL levels as well. For that, the fastest way to release it is TRE (trauma release exercises) - www.traumaprevention.com. Get the DVDs or work with a provider near you. Meditation calms the mind, but doesn't address the body-based trauma, so the issues might improve a little but the problem remains.
Hello Toobusy, ... ... I get the same burning sensation from the candida releasing acetaldehyde f...
I get the same burning sensation from the candida releasing acetaldehyde from feeding on sugar if I eat anything that contains carbs (exception being fibrous veggies). I was diagnosed with anxiety (which is what it is in a sense) but until I saw a naturopath that knew about candida, I had no idea why I was suffering so intensely for years. Low carb and nystatin has really helped me out, and if I indulge in too much greek yogurt (cheat snack), the anxiety and psychosis comes right back.
I did your Candida plan this fall, but did not get the results I hoped for. Now I'm wondering if it makes sense to try it again.
My issues are in short:
* Extreme bloating and abdominal discomfort. Curiously only on the left side of my abdomen. It feels like it originates just below the rib cage, and extends downwards. There is a lot of gurgling and movement going on there. Like there is a big blob of something sitting there. Maybe it's trapped gas, I don't know. Carbs seems to make it worse.
* Severe intolerance to carbs. High-GI ones gives instant anxiety, restlessness, loss of concentration, elevated heart rate. Lower GI ones gives more of a delayed bloating and discomfort.
* Bad histamine intolerance. Instant ADHD-like effects.
* Poor digestion of fats, and proteins too. Seems I can't handle even just a tablespoon or two of fat.
* I have been passing white-ish stringy things in my stool. Looks like parts of the intestinal lining or some kind of biofilm attached to it has come off. It looks like what some people call "rope worms".
* Insomnia, and a general feeling of being wired all the time, unable to relax.
I think I followed your plan quite well. I may have been restricting carbs too much, as they make me feel so bad. I realize this might not be good, especially long term. Also, I did not try the HCl protocol, because at the time I was diagnosed with gastritis. This has now resolved (apparently it did so on its own, because I never took the prescribed PPI).
Besides Candida, my other main theories are SIBO and/or some parasitic infection. Stool tests for parasites have come back negative two times around. I understand these are often inaccurate, though. As for the "ropes", my gastroenterologist could not tell me what they are, nor could any of his collegues. I also tested negative for SIBO.
Well. I think I better stop there. Thanks for reading this far. In your experience, might it make sense to try your program again? If not, do you have any other ideas?

Yes, doing the Plan again can help to better balance what seems like some immune system dysregulation. You may or may not need to do the HCL Protocol depending on your current symptoms. Obviously, parasites are a sign of low HCL levels.
Low fat tolerance and poor protein digestion means liver/GB congestion and that is another indicator for low HCL. Low protein leads to decreased neurotransmitter function, immunity, enzymes, etc.
I'd start with the Plan and keep me posted on how you're doing. Directly through the site is often better than Curezone.
I was wondering what the official definition of systemic candida is. I have understood this to be candida symptoms which manifests itself outside of the intestines. I was told that this is not true (in the Candida forum). Someone said that systemic candida is very rare and you can die from it. I find this hard to believe. I thought that vaginal yeast infections were a sign of systemic candida, as I don't understand how you can have a yeast infection without an imbalance in the gut. So, if you could shed any light on what systemic candida really is that would be great.

Your understanding of it is correct. The medical profession only seriously recognizes one type of candida, and that is when someone's immune system is so depressed, that candida can set up in the body. They claim that people can die from this form when the body's immune system is depressed.
Mycology is the study of fungus and Mycology textbooks will tell you differently. The experts in fungus tell us that candida is the number one hospital infection. They also illustrate that antibiotics are the number one cause, and that candida infections have risen steadily with antibiotic use. Most MDs don't acknowledge it, but the experts see it differently.

systemic Candida is true its when it goes thru the colon and into the blood and yes I think you can die from it if not taken care of it... I myself have systemic candida and working on how to take control of it. Candida when it becomes systemic it takes the control of your whole body. it took control of mine because I found out to late. I have candida since I was a teenager and I am now 26 and found out a couple of weeks ago that I have candida.
