Lemongrass oil is also one of the best. I put drops into regular hand sanitizer to turbo-boost it; and often put a few drops on the bottom of my feet. Sometimes I'll put Lemongrass into capsules and take with food to stave off issues. It's easy to grow your own in the backyard and it will repel blood sucker mosquitoes!
Wanted to help others with MRSA. I have taken lots of Colloidal Silver , which seemed to keep the MRSA in check. But when I ran out of my silver and had to reorder, I started using Scram by HealthForce and two teas that taste terrible: Chaga mushroom elixir and Reishi superfoods mushroom drink ( both from Four Sigma Foods). After a week of both teas daily (best on empty stomach), and taking my scram every morning, my sores are disappearing like crazy! No beer, caffeine, and low Sugar as well. This has been working. Topically I use manuka honey or oil of oregano with a bandaid. Try it, it worked for me. Let me know.
I first got cellulitis 11 months ago in my left calf. We believed the gaping hole in my foot was the culprit. It was nasty fever cycle. Took a month to finally be done. Used antibiotic from clinic. Keflex. 7 days ago I woke up with 3 big pimples and 4-5 small ones. They hurt and were growing. Had no idea what it was. I have learned a lot on this week. They told me I would more susceptible but I didn't believe them. When I got this my body was its normal overweight, tons of sugar, 3 day fast, stress, anemic....I found out those are ripe conditions for weakening immune system. So I don't want to go to a doctor or use antibiotics. I finally found out two days ago what i have. Of course without a culture I am not sure sure. But it's still the same deal. I have been drinking turmeric in my water since last night. Some difference. I have stayed awy from sugar. I have been cleaning them with stuff and covering them with neonsporin and Benadryl crewm. I have been drinking milk. Of magnesia , taking a probiotic, bit c tabs, ate three gloves of garlic, .... And more.well my questions are many... Should I get the culture done? Should I find someone to pierce these and try to drain, what should I pack them with draw out the puss, I read so many testimonials and feel like some may just be selling something . Lol one is on my left elbow and it's big and it doesn't ooze...it just fills and heats up my whole forearm and upper arm. The skin is red now down 8" inches above and below the wound, the skin is tight from the swelling. I soaked it a little while and it seemed better. More turmeric and nursing the othe holes. Rough rough day....
In the meantime 8 inches around the area is scary! A local walk in can lance it for you and prescribe an antibiotic.... Much as I avoid antibiotics, I think they do have a place and you might not want to wait on this. Keep taking that probiotic : )
My niece had a MRSA boil/infection in her armpit that we tried to wait out but ended up taking her to the walk-in. The doctor said had we waited another day she would have had to go in the hospital! Funny... isn't that where you ~get~ MRSA also?
Yes. Go to a doctor and get a swab taken. It is always good to get a good diagnosis.
Don't get them pierced and drained. The pus is normally not in a single opening, but many small openings, so you can't get it out. Messing with them may cause a severe infection.
Most boils will go through the process of pushing the pus out and healing, even if you do nothing. You need to keep warm.
However you may still be carrying the bacteria after the boils have gone, making future infections likely.
I suggest taking Oregano oil, as it kills golden staph.
Exposing your skin to sunlight or ultraviolet light is the most effective way to kill golden staph in the skin. Use Betadine surgical scrub to wash as well.
Use Betadine surgical scrub for washing your clothes, then exposure them to sunlight or ultraviolet light.
Take a supplement with a range of B vitamins.
I had boils over my entire body. With some the inflamed area was larger than 8 inches. When they broke through the skin, ulcers formed over one and a half inches across. These took over 3 months to heal.
The pain is worst when you have that pressure, and then when you have the raw ulcer. After some of the pus comes out, and the pressure is released, the pain is greatly reduced.
I could say a lot more, but this is a good starting point.
If you can, getting swab of the culture is a good idea, but you also don't want to wait around too long to treat something by the sound of your symptoms. Knowing if you have a regular staph infection versus MRSA can really help in knowing what treatment to pursue. MRSA is more resistant to treatments than the more common staph infections. Many think its due to prolonged use of antibiotics, that the bacteria has become stronger over time. I am normally against taking antibiotics, but in this case I really felt I needed to.
I don't think its something you would only pick up in a hospital. Staph lives on surfaces, like even our skin for example, even if we don't suffer from an infection. Its just another type of bacteria out there, though a harmful one if it gets to the point of an infection. I imagine you could pick it up from something like a door handle, but it exposure to cuts etc that leads to infection.
I had an MRSA infection awhile back. I cannot say how I picked up the infection, but I think I had it for some time before I realized how serious it had become. I was run down for a long time, and after being treated realized how I had been simply living with how lousy I felt, and not really realizing something was wrong. I was always tired, had no energy, and picked up cold and bugs often. I just assumed I wasn't blessed with the energy and immune system other seemed to have. So I was pretty happy when I got better!
Eventually the staph appeared as boils, I had at least three or four in different places, and they were very painful.
Iodine is a way to keep the boils clean. You must be cautious when cleaning because you don't want to spread the bacteria coming from boils around to surrounding areas. Cleaning the are around the boil with Iodine can help too. After I would cover the boils with a cotton swab and medical tape, and this would allow a place for the boil to rid itself of the bacteria. I found I had to change the bandages around two or three times a day. The pain does go down after the material has expels itself. You want to let the boils breath and stay dry.
I took three different runs of penicillin type antibiotics, I can't remember what the name of the final one was that worked, but it was strong!!
Around the time of the last dose of antibiotics, I started taking Astragalus tea, and a Tsp or two a day of Manuka honey. These two things I discovered through research, and have a reputation against fighting MRSA. I noticed almost right away the boost in energy Astragalus tea gave me. You can take it as a tincture too, and it is often combined with Echinacea. I would recommend it to anyone who has a low immune system, though you may want to do some research because I'm not sure if it interferes with other medications. It is an amazing substance, and along with giving energy, it warmed me up, my body felt perpetually cold with the infection.
I hope you are able to find more info. I hope you feel better soon!
Garlic is another helpful remedy. Remember to crush it and allow exposure to air, so the compound Allicin can form, the powerful ingredient in garlic!
Don't squeeze them or poke them or puncture them! They hurt! lol Look! I suffered a carbuncle in under my arm for the past FIVE years. I hear your pain about the boils!!! I searched & experimented with everything I could find that might help online. I gave each thing I tried ample amount of time to work & nothing seemed to clear it completely up & it continuously came back. At the very best it would start looking better but never quite go away. It looked like a bruised area that would fill up if I let up with whatever remedy I was trying at the time. And my arm & shoulder would hurt. I almost gave up several times. I even tried antibiotics in high doses which would make it almost go away but the minute I stopped taking them it would blow back up again. I have to admit that several times in frustration & agony I would cry & ask myself is this what is going to kill me? Because as far as I could tell, up to this point, nothing I did made it go away & stay away. During times while searching & reading everything I could online, I always swore I would tell the world if I ever figured out what would work. I know several people who suffer with boils & thus far no Dr has been able to clear them up.
Well, guess what!?!?? I have came back to share some really awesome news!!! My carbuncle is almost completely gone. I have not seen this area on my arm look this well in 5 years!!! The color is all back to normal. I have scarring where the boil drained during several of my bouts with it but I expect those to clear up more to as it can now complete its healing process. YES!!!!
And HERE'S WHAT WORKED FOR ME!!!
First, if the boil has not drained, TURMERIC will drain it fast if you use the remedy where you heat a mixture of 2 TBSP COCONUT OIL to 2 tsp TURMERIC & a few dashes of BLACK PEPPER. Heat that in a double boiler. I put it in a measuring cup & set it in a small pan with water in it & heated the water to boiling. Let it boil for 15 minutes, then cool before taking it. I took a 1/2 tsp & it starts draining within the hour.
You can buy all of these through Amazon for not very much! My home will never be without them after I have seen this miracle. I can not believe it is working so well after all I have tried! I started putting this on it before it even started draining & I put it on at least twice a day. Put a couple of drops of LAVENDER OIL on your finger & rub it on it, then rub on a couple of drops of FRANKINCENSE OIL & then a couple of drops of MYRRH. Also, I'm taking BLACK SEED OIL as a part of my daily regime. I take 1 tsp a day. This works so well!!! Prepare to be amazed!!! I will never be plagued by those nasty painful tings again!!! Wishing you all happy healthy wonderful lives!!!!!!!
P.S. When you try this & see how well it works, please pass it on to others!!! People need to know that there is help for these things & it doesn't include letting a Dr mash it into a carbuncle for you. Mine was 1 boil before I went to the Dr. After he mashed around on it & it was extremely painful for him to do that, it turned into 4 or 5 in a row. Then he wanted to talk about cutting them out! You will not need to puncture or smash or cut anything if you try this. And I had a skin specialist tell me that it would just come back if they cut it out.
