Why did you do this? I had a large number of food allergies/sensitivities and my food choices were extremely limited. I did not do this to lose weight. I did it to heal my body.
What did you weigh when you started your fast? 97 lbs.
How much weight did you lose? I lost a total of 15 lbs.
Did you gain back the weight you lost? Yes, within about 6 months I gained back all the weight I lost during my fast.
Now that almost two years have passed since your fast, are you still able to eat all the things you were previously allergic to? Yes!
Why did you have to be carried to the lecture? On that particular day, I was extremely nauseous and each time I tried to stand up I felt like I was going to be sick. However, I still really wanted to attend Dr. Graham's lecture that day, so I was carried into the lecture room where I was able to lie down and still listen.
What kind of skin problems did you have? I had major acne issues as well as hives
What were you allergic/sensitive to? All acid fruits, some sub-acid fruits and most greens including celery, lettuce and fresh herbs
You only drank water, no food at all for 13 days? That is correct
Did you exercise during your fast? No, exercise should be avoided during a water fast. Your body needs all of it's usable energy for healing which is why you don't eat food. Digestion takes a lot of energy and by not eating, your body can use that valuable energy to heal all areas of the body that need healing. It is best to rest as much as physically possible during your fast. Sleeping a lot is good.
How much water did you drink? Enough water that I was peeing clear 8-12 times per day
I want to fast now. Is it safe to fast at home? Fasting is a very serious healing modality. It is not to be taken lightly. I highly recommend a supervised fast with an experienced fasting expert. Fasting should not be done alone without guidance.
*The way you break your fast is crucial to your success! This is why fasting with an experienced fasting expert is also very important. Eating the wrong thing after fasting could have MAJOR health consequences. Do not take this process lightly.
I am on day 10 of a Lemon Detox/Master Cleanse. All was going well until Day 8. No bowel movement since then...
I have done the salt water flush first thing in the morning - warm, non-ionised and one litre. I have had senna laxative tea at night. Had another tea this afternoon to try and get something through. Feeling very concerned at this point! This is my 6th cleanse over as many years, never had this. Not sure what to do next.
Finally I am water fasting, stopping is not an option, finally breaking these food addictions and alcohol addiction

Archus, I know you've mentioned up to 40 days of Water Fasting is ok, but I recall you may have said thats the limit in your opinion, if I gained 115 pounds in the past 2 years, wouldn't fasting be ok all the way till I lost about 100 pounds, crazy question I know lol
Let's start all over again. I have said numerous time fasting should not be used as a weight loss tool. It is very important that diet is changed and changes are permanent, also exercise is made part of the regimen to lose weight.
As far as fasting and number of days is very subjective, one can get true hunger before reaching to 30 days, one can reach to it in 40 days. The reason I say no to 40 day fast is that after 30 days your nutritional reserves may be depleted and one has to be cautious after that in continuing with the fast.
In your case I also suggest to do other cleanses such as kidney, colon and liver cleanse. If you have been drinking alcohol and eating processed foods your liver is compromised. Our liver is a wonderful organ and it will rejuvenate after cleanses and by taking some liver friendly herbs.
I also suggest that you organic raw fruits and vegetables, seeds and nuts for as long as you can and see how much weight you lose. This will be very helpful to your body and mind.
