The last couple of nights, I've been using foot detox pads. It seems like I feel a bit more energized and a bit more clean, but it's only been a couple of days so not much improvement yet but sounds promising from the description on the label. Just today I happen to look it up cuz of my curiosity from other reviewers and their results. Most of them claimed to be a scam! Most websites claim it to be as well, saying people who use it will feel like they benefit from it but they actually don't remove toxins out of your body and the reason the pads are ugly brown color is because of the sweat and moisture from your feet. Has anyone benefited from Detox Foot Pads
Has anyone used Chinese medicine to overcome AF? I am in stage 2 and my TCM dr is very positive about treating it with herbs and some homepathics. It all started with a panic attack about a year ago and ever since my anxiety and panic have been horrible! My anxiety is through the roof and Dont know what to do about it! I also have a leaky gut, a static liver, overloaded kidneys and a lot of chemicals in my bloodstream. This is my first time being exposed to Chinese medicine and I am not sure what ti expect. Previously i was seeing a functional medicine who was treating me for a leaky gut but after 6 months I saw no results and I started looking into Chinese medicine. Any input is appriciated!
I believe when someone says that their anxiety is "through the roof" they may be better off with benzodiazepines (like Valium or klonopin) for short term and immediate help and relief. Otherwise it will be next to impossible to think objectively to study and evaluate more natural options.
I agree with you but i am so concerned about getting addicited to klonopin. I will take small dosage (.12mg) when i feel like i will have a panic attack. I just dont know who to trust anymore. I trusted my previous ND soo much and invested so much into his healing gut proticol but after 6 months i saw no improvment so I have a hard time trustig anyone :(
Just wondering if someone can please point me in the direction of some info about the TCM pulse test - where you feel your pulse with three fingers and can tell stuff about your health from it.
I am house bound Chronic Fatigue, and constantly catch viral infections. I take a lot of supplements, but they don't have much effect. Lately I have been wondering how screwed up the different energies are in my body, and thought that TCM might be able to help.
Pulse diagnosis takes many years of training, you will not be able to get much from it without the training. However iridology might be much easier and reveal far more. I will warn you that your Kidney Qi is almost certain to be weak and show a marking in the kidney zones of both eyes. This DOES NOT MEAN a Kidney problem. I must point that out because it relates to the nervous system within the kidney and also a brain area relating to mood and indicates your stress response.
CFS is a condition of excess Yin and anything which can counter that will be of benefit. That includes eating a more Yang diet rather than a Yin diet. Fruits and above ground vegetables are Yin in nature whereas below ground vegetables and Animal meats are beneficial, ie more Yang.
The best results I have got are from German chamomile essential oil, a dropper bottle of 20 to 25ml and half fill with mineral/filtered or distilled water and then add ONE drop of German Chamomile essential oil [eo]. Then get a glass and shake the dropper bottle as vigorously as you can and quickly draw up the liquid and add ONE drop of that watered down oil into the glass. If you add the oil to a dark liquid such as a little blackcurrant juice you will see the oil float and you can judge how strong it is as it will reduce over time as you use it. You will need to judge when to top up the dropper bottle back to 1/2 full and add another drop of German Chamomile eo. I do it about every two weeks so a small amount lasts quite a long time. It does need to be pure German Chamomile eo, you must be certain of that.
You can use tongue diagnosis to guide you. A tongue with a thick coating indicates excess Yin, tiredness etc whereas a Red tongue with little or no coating indicates high energy levels. You can take too much of this so start slowly with one drop from the watered down dropper bottle and you can increase to two drops but I would not go any further. Instead, increase the frequency of consumption. It will take about 1.5 to 2 hours to take effect and it might change the tongue a little, making it look redder below the coating which may reduce a little. This could make your eyes redder and a little bloodshot. A small amount of Aloe vera mixed in can lessen this and I do mean small amount, 2 to 3 ml. I used to use a disposable 10ml syringe with a plug that fits into the neck of the Aloe vera bottle, the syringe should contain the quantity of air that you intend drawing up and then invert it all and push the air into the bottle and draw up the required Aloe so that you know precisely how much you are using. The syringe/plugs are available on ebay.
I'm on day 24 of the master cleanse. My tongue is still coated white and I also have a "spot" that is getting bigger over the last few days in the liver (right side)area on my tongue. It's not a sore, it is just a red, wet spot in an enlongated oval shape (unlike the rest of my tongue which is white). Does anyone know if this just means my liver is detoxing as well or if this means I should stop? Also, I've read that if your body starts craving real food that it means it's time to stop b/c your body is in need of more nutrition. I've been craving real food for about the last 5 days now. I thought after this long on the cleanse that the cravings would get less but they've done the opposite. I don't want to quit until my tongue turns pink again b/c I've come this far, but I am craving real food and am also worried about the spot on my tongue and whether I should stop or not. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
Master cleanse..lemon juice stuff for 24 days?
Real hunger is pretty unmistakable. And hard to actualy resist. Are you sure its real not psychological hunger??
What is your height and weight?? If you have used up your fat reserves you are now basically eating your muscles and eventually more important organs. This is the difference between fasting and starvation.
I am on day 27 of water fast but weighed 258.8 at start and now 223 but was 50% bodyfat I could likely last a year on water alone just living off my fat.
My tongue was the usual nasty think for about 20 days but its got much more normal looking now and mouth doesn't have the horrible taste in it that it had.
I would maybe stop the lemon juice stuff now and maybe go to juice fast and see if that works for awhile if you want to keep going. But again if you are really down on your essential fat you better start breaking the fast. And if you have real hunger doubt you will hold out much longer anyway but you want to break the fast correctly. About a week or so depending on how your system tolerates refeeding.
In the full ration Master Cleanse one is consuming 1200 calories so there is no chance the body consuming muscle. One does go into ketosis on the MC. It's highly unlikely that the system will use up muscle tissue. When fasting and the body goes into Ketosis the sytem will scour itself for dead or damaged tissue and will use that for fuel way before it goes into any muscle tissue. That is basically how fasting heals.
After more that a dozen 40 day MCs and at least 10 years of sharing experiences on this forum I can tell you that the tongue thing is not a reliable indicator as to when to stop the fast. Some folks never get it at all and some will have it one day and gone the next The spot on the liver side of the tongue I would say is actually a good sign that your liver is detoxing. The wisdom is to continue fasting to allow the liver complete it's detox cycle.
If you are doing the MC by the book is highly unlikely that you are experiencing "real" hunger and it more a psychological issue . If you've been cheating even with the samllest tidbits all bets are off because you will have activated the digestive system and that will definitely make you hungry and or have cravings
Thanks for the responses. I haven't cheated at all so maybe it's just psychological. It doesn't help having to cook for my husband and kids every night either. I'm hoping to complete the full 40. I know I would be so disappointed in myself if I quit now so I'll keep thinking about how far I've come and where I'll be at the end to help make it through I guess. Thanks again.
If I were your husband I would cook for you or at least try. I see too many people that are still cooking for their husbands or significant others. That seems cruel. I can smell things well enough after 24 days that it drives me crazy to walk home now. Just cravings not real hunger.
The only good thing about the better sense of smell is you can pinpoint which restaraunts you should never eat at because they smell vile. Zippys in Hawaii for example... it smells terrible. It's (Good smell, good smell, good smell, OH GOD WHY) and that last one is zippys.
Same in Japan this time. One place on the corner I wish I could have smelled before I ate there. It wasn't good but was expensive. But, now that I am cleansing on day 24 again I can smell it everytime Im going home and its terrible. Just terrible.
Anyways, the point was your husband should take over while you're doing this.
the MCs... how do you do it? with what and how long? please. I have been diagnosed with a chemical sensitivity. Since being diagnosed the diagnosing doctor retired and I cannot find another one to help. I am told to avoid ... and that's all.
Im niot up to speed on your back story but cant help but wonder what you have an appt with an endo for?
What exactly is it you hope to accomplish?
99% of the endo's are at best going to throw you on synthetic thyroid hormones because thats what they know. This approach MAY help with hyper/hypo symptoms but it will NOT fix the underlying cause which means all the other symptoms due to the deficiencies you suffer will continue to plague you and get worse.
They are not going to recommend a supplement plan and most likely their advice will conflict with that of a supplemental approach.
Just ask for a full thyroid panel if you can get it, the numbers really dont mean much at this point because chances are they will be within range and your symptoms will be your real guide.
Where labs will help is 6 months, a year or even two down the road after you have been supplementing. They will give you a baseline to compare to to judge progress although I still personally feel there are of little value except perhaps peice of mind.
That's exactly what I needed to know, though which specific tests to point out would help. Dunno if they even to reverse T3 here in DK.
The endo is part and parcel of being able to use an insulin pump here, Ferv
It's either that or needles, needles , needles, and that means more possible infection sites.
Feel free to look at the backstory on my profile.
Otherwise, I'm just chugging along and going to see an orthomolecular doc from the Linus Pauling institute in august.
Yep... I know the whole story on Endos. I otherwise just discuss the most recent diabetes research and alternative therapies with him here and there. He's pretty much been filled in over the last 3 years on my supplemental experimentation.
Best not to think of the people I otherwise have to work with to survive as a resource, not an enemy <.<
But being from the States and the pharmadeath industry, that's not been easy.
The book you ordered, STTM, lists all the more useful tests you should get along with how to intrepit the results. It also has a list of online Labs you can use to order your own blood tests, which I would recommend you do and start tracking things for yourself.
My Endo checks for TSH, T3 and free T4. That's it!
I am dealing with Hashimotos and my doc doesn't even monitor my antibody levels because 'there is nothing you can do'.
I eliminated all the Mercury fillings from my mouth, and thru dietary changes my TPO readings are negligible, and my ATA levels are within a half of a point to being within acceptable range.
Best of luck, and do your homework. All you doctor is gonna do is send you to the pharmacy, and then to an early grave.
Exact same story here, Fan Man, except it's type 1 D induced by the Amalgam filings and repetative stress.
Then came hypothyroidism, then bone cancer, all within a 4 year period, with American tap water and the usual doctor treatment and tapwater (clorine and floride) probs thrown in for extra measure).
Tumor became metastasized 2 years after initial treatment, surgical choices were made, a hand was copied off, torture was removed from the inner chest walls.
Druggists' choice of therapy for the past 12 years since then for seasonal insomnias has been light antidepressants and benzodiazepines alongside ambien sleeping pills, and with my persistent protests and push for the complete removal of all those pharmaceutical preps...
/end of personal story, muchly compressed///////
Am glad the tides have turned some :)
May 2014 was the last Amalgam removal, improved a TON since starting butyrate and citruline (reduced phosphatidylcholine).
Been using Lugols at a low dose since a wild winter trying the high doses 3 years ago (25mg-1g), which put me in such a bromine-toxic emotional freefall that it scared the sheet out of my hubby.
And dedicated thyroid supplements used to be rated by their total Iodine content...
Double blind placebo study... Vultures hate individual case studies and basic algebraic mathematical formulas. That's what's needed for cases with so many variables like thyroid reatment!
Thyroid's reacting like bonkers since the last parasite cleanse though, sometimes swollen, sometimes not, while it's processing the dieoff, and my body temp had been in fluctuation ever since.
With the metric poopton of variables, I'm giving the standard social healthcare system docs the last-straw-treatment and simply switching and then that's it, an orthomolecular doc for managing supplemental patterns and proper bloodtests, and a GP with expertise in helping -properly- evaluate the ratios and business. (From the Danish equivalent to the STTM support groups/.
Yes, I'm doing the homework... But in this country they won't give you bloodtest printouts unless you're really being their best friends and you're blessed with the knowledge of how too wall and talk just like your doc if they're over worked.
Still like this place though. Brominated flame retardants were banned in the 70s, bromide bleaching of bread flour is banned, etc, etc, etc.
Thank you for your well-wishes, and Godspeed on your journey too
I've heard the doctor system called vultures, and that's an apt description of the blindfolded business it has slowly evolved to.
As a man, in my early 30's I used to get flushing in the face which an alternative GP diagnosed as low adrenal and prescribed cortisol which worked and I felt stronger too!.
These days I still get fatigue (cannot get cortisol anymore and wanto find a deeper solution). Fluyshing hardly at all.
I take fish oil which seem to help fatigue a lot.
For some reason I also have high blood pressure even though my salt intake is only 2g per day and I am not overweight. Current GP said kidney function is low.
So I tried magnesiium but this makes me very tired, which I read can indicate adrenal fatigue.
I have heard poor adrenals can explain multiple food and supplemental sensitivities?
I have slightly low thyroid, but when I take even small amounts of thyroxin, my blood pressure goes up a lot for some reason though it does help with fatigue from high humidity.
I've heard Rehmannia 6 formula is good for low adrenal functions to do with Kidney Yin deficiency ( I also have dry skin and some kind of exzema). Any thoughts for Kidney Yang deficiency and Spleen deficiency, which another article suggested can be involved from the TCM perspective in adrenal exhaustion?
It sounds like your high blood pressure could be due to some degree of kidney disease. That is something which I think that you should do all to prevent getting any worse! To do that you need to lower your homocysteine levels which requires optimizing methylation and working around any genetic polymorphisms which could be causing high homocysteine levels. Taking supplements which help lower homocysteine, listed in no particular order, such as P-5-P (vit b6), TriMethylGlycine (TMG), R-5-P (vit b2), magnesium, folate 5-methyltetrahydrofolate & B12 methylcobalmin. TMG should help your fatigue, you might need about 2-3 ml scoop if you buy TMG powder. I take that kind of quantity myself. However do not overdo it, check your tongue before you take any and again after an hour or two after taking it. If your fatigued you will have a thick tongue coating whereas after taking TMG the tongue coating should be a lot less. TMG has Yang energy something which is helpful for Yin diseases.
Taking serrapeptase, nattokinase or lumbrokinase might help clear and restore your circulation and help your kidneys. Taking any of those with a herb to direct towards the kidney might prove beneficial such as Tu Si Zi (Chinese Dodder seed) and Gou Qi Zi (wolfberry/Goji berries). There are herbs which warm the kidney which might also help. Vit K might also be beneficial.
What explains multiple food sensitivities much better than poor adrenals is Increased Intestinal Permeability Syndrome aka Leaky Gut. That is also what is causing your fatigue. Forget adrenal exhaustion because I very much doubt that you have it. It's a nonsense self diagnosis IMO with little basis in fact. Addisons disease is serious but fairly rare because it rarely gets that far, there is usually some adrenal function remaining even if the kidneys & nervous system becomes seriously affected by stress. I have some reduced adrenal function due to stress but it does not result in addisons disease or any detectable hypoadrenal function after my doctor referred me for an adrenal test due to tiredness/exhaustion. This can show in the iris of the eye at 6 o clock as a grey marking. The adrenals are at the top of this area just outside the autonomic nerve wreath which is the last to be affected by prolonged stress. Any greying of the kidney area indicates susceptibility to stress and high levels of cortisol as the body adapts to stress. The more that the kidney zone shows grey and the further into the zone that it goes, the higher the default cortisol level will be. BTW a grey marking does not indicate kidney problems! It is only the nervous system which is affected. Circulatory problems show near the outside of the iris in the circulatory zone as a discolouration, the more that goes inwards, the worse it is.
