My boyfriend and I have been together and faithful for almost 3 years now. Early on, I noticed a couple of wart-like things on his penis. I though they were just warts/moles, because everyone on his mom's side seems to have them somewhere or other, so I thought he had the bad luck to have them on his penis.
Eventually, they started to multiply. I mentioned my concern to him, and he didn't seem to think anything of it. Of course, he didn't like me looking at them. Currently he has 14 of them! So I looked up pictures of genital warts on the internet, to show him what it could lead to if he left it untreated. The pictures really freaked him out and he made an appointment right away.
P.S. If you are a male and think you have this, you need to see a Urologist, NOT a dermatologist.
Today was his appointment, and he has an STD! HPV-genital wart virus :( He is getting them burned off. Today is also his 21st birthday, so I feel pretty bad for him because what a lousy day this is. But I feel really weird. I don't have any warts anywhere at all, so that is good. Hopefully I have the type of immune system that is immune to this. He had started getting them before I came along, but I called my doctor anyway, to ask about myself. I was told that my papsmears would show HPV, but my papsmears always turn out good. Also, I have had partners before this relationship, so last year I had STD tests done just for piece of mind and everything was A.O.K. there too. I am greatly relieved that I did not do this to him, but the same time I feel awkward because of how/who he got this from.
I am just looking for any advice for others in the same shoes, or others who have the virus. Any information on personal experiences with this would be appreciated. Or anyone who can relate. I've been lucky so far, but I don't want this. And I am a really sensitive girl and I hate thinking about his previous partners and how they are affecting our/my life.
All I can say to everyone is... If you ever see the slightest abnormal thing "down there" Do not hesitate! Go to the doctor. Because chances are that it will not go away, but instead will multiply. And it's not pretty. Just look up pics on the internet.
I work for a public health department. You need to go to the doctor immediately and get retested. You might still have the virus even if it is not showing externally - even if you do not have visible warts. I hate to be the bearer of this kind of news.
Yes, hopefully your immune system has not allowed you to contract this awful virus. It is a major cause of cervical cancer and can render a woman infertile. HPV is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases. Please do not resume intimate behavior with your boyfriend until you have been counseled by a health professional.
I know what you are saying, but here is my end... I'm 22 and we have been living together for over 2 1/2 years. I have papsmears regularly and my last one was not very long ago. Yes, I still make sure I will continue to get my papsmears on a regular basis... I am just saying that he has had this the entire time of our relationship, and something should have shown up in any of my papsmears by now. Also, I'm not trying to sound argumentive against you here, but more like seriously in agreement with you. I'm just trying to stress that I am on top of this as much as possible. Heck... I finally got my boyfriend to do something about this! For now I want to assure you that I am doing all that I can to be sure that I am doing whatever possible to be informed about this. My next papsmear is not far away and you bet I will be bringing up this matter. I've never had an abnormal papsmear yet, but I just want them to know that they need to keep their eyes out for this in particular. As soon as we found out what he had, I got on the phone with my doctors about the status of myself. I asked them if the tests (papsmears and STDs) that I have had recently done would have shown the HPV and they said that it would have. So I am strongl confident that I do not have it. But I'm not going to be naive about this, you can bet that as of yesterday I have been very concerned about it.
I was super aggravated yesterday because since it was his 21st bday, we work 3rd shift and his work buddies got him drunk at the bar afterwards. He was sick all day and didn't even feel like going to the doctor but I made him. Unfortunately I should have gone in the office with him because since he was hungover, he failed to ask many questions that he should have. He did pretty good, but I would have asked many more. He says he will ask them at his next appointment before the surgery. But... since you work for the health department, tell me this... is there any way of telling the chances of me getting it after the warts are removed? Sure, I realize we could wear condoms... but we aren't just boyfriend/girlfriend. We are more serious than that. He has already bought an engagement ring and I've been told that it is soon when he plans to propose. We want kids very much (though not till after marriage). So...even if we wore condoms, then what should we do when it comes time to want kids? Some people are lucky to have kids by only once forgetting to wear a condom (unfortunately these are often the people who do not want kids), but most people have to try many times before they are successful. So if you have any advice on this, it would be appreciated. But if not, it is ok because that concern is on my list to ask the doctor anyway. Also, please don't take this message wrong. I might sound rude but I don't mean to be. I guess I just think that you think I am taking this situation lightly, and I am doing anything but taking it lightly. Thanks for writing, though, I appreciate your input.
I've done a LOT of reading about the HPV virus since I had discovered that I had a few warts. Warts are mainly an asthetic problem. They look ugly just like moles and pimples do. They generally don't cause any physical pain. The type of HPV virus that is linked to cervical cancer in Women is NOT the same one that causes visible warts. It is thought to be a different strain of the virus. So if you have warts this is the benign strain of HPV NOT the cancer causing one! In general I have discovered that there is still a lot of UNKNOWN knowledge about warts and HPV. Some people never pass warts on to their spouses or mates. One Doctor stated that he saw numerous couples where only one person had warts and the other did NOT despite being intimate with that person for long periods of time. Warts can be contagious but this is still another uncertainty. Some people seem to have immune systems which protect them from ever showing symptoms of HPV. I think the best plan of action is to burn off the visible warts and then build up your immune system real strong because warts tend to appear on people with weak immune systems generally caused by poor diet and other unhealthy living. The bottom line is that having warts is not the end of the world! It's not a death sentence.
Hey what's up, so are you a girl or a guy? j/w . I'm just wondering how long have you had hpv ( genital warts ). I found out
i have it only a few months ago and ever since ive been a complete mess it's all i think about, i feel like im going to die or get cancer
Is it really not that bad, am i freaking out for no reason?
I was with a guy who had genital warts and I freaked out at first, basically because he blamed me - he developed warts a year into our r'ship. I have never had any visible warts but am possibly more immune to it. Try not to freak out. It seriously isnt the end of the world. The thing is, its just a virus - as are all wart viruses, just different strains, but i hear ya, warts are pretty unattractive at the best of times, not least when they're on your genitals. Hulda Clark claims that as warts are just a virus, you are able to kill this virus with a zapper. You can check out her book 'The cure for all cancers' on this website, the whole thing is there totally free. It tells you what it is and how it works. Mine is on the way... (still waiting at the moment though!) - even though i dont have any ones i can see, i think i should zap myself anyhow. also check out the Zapper Forum .
To answer your question: I'm a man. I first noticed I had a wart on my groin about 10 years ago so I have had it for at least 10 years maybe longer. I can't even know which woman had given this to me. I later noticed one on my chest and later 3 small warts on my penis shaft. All together a total of 5 warts that I could see on my body. I burned them off using compound W, an over the counter remedy. I am now currently wart free. I think that there is NO reason to overly stress out about this. I also have moles on my body and I know that from talking to a dermatologist that some moles can be pre cancerous. The best thing to do if you have moles or warts that you don't like is to have them removed. After warts and moles are removed they almost never will grow back (at least in the same place). All human beings are hosts for thousands of viruses it just happpens that one particular virus, HPV, can cause visible warts. The type of HPV that causes warts is not the one that causes cervical cancer.
In general to avoid ever getting cancer or other diseases I recommend just keeping up a strong immune system. Your own body can heal you of all diseases if your immune system is operating at at full capacity! Don't smoke, don't drink, cut back on red meats, eat a lot of green vegetables, excercise a lot and detoxify yourself by drinking wheat grass juice or other cleanses regularly.
My personal approach to clearing my body of viruses is a form of oxygen therapy. I drink food grade hydrogen peroxide (5-25 drops per glass of water) with distilled water. It's like putting bleach on all of your internal tissues without the fatal side effects! Some people claim that electricity can do this also. They use something called a Zapper. I'm personally a little scared of putting current in to my body. To each is own. Hope this helps. Health Freak
I just found out to and I'm freaking out. I feel like damaged goods. I feel so much animosity. I wander if its from me or my partner..who gave it to who. I've called the last person that I slept with but that was 9 months ago and we used a condom. How long does it take for this to show up? Please respond I feel like shit.
they can be a real big deal. my daughter had visable genital warts inside and on the outside. she had to have 18 percent of her cervix removed. her cervix had pre cancerous cells. she now takes ip6 with inositol by enzymatic therapy called cell forte and now her check ups have been perfect.
thanks for responding. my daughter's papsmears have had no show of precancerous cells she continues to take ip6 with inositol cell forte by enzymatic therapy. it builds the white blood cells, killer cells to help prevent cancer. her doctor said she will still be able to have kids even though she had part of her cervix removed. the ip6 with inositol has helped her out greatly. also her doctor was amazed that she has not she has not had cevical cancer by now.
and very at her pap smear results. the ip6 with inositol has really worked for her. she continues to take it and may have to take it for the rest of her life to prevent cervical cancer.
p.s. i hope this info helps someone out there because it was so devastating when she first learned of having it.
Thanks again. I've read that all cervical cancers can be prevented as long as a woman has regular pap smears and the cells are treated in time. It's only when these cells are left untreated for many years that a cancer can result. So having regular checkups is the key to preventing ALL cervical cancer!
Thanks for the post I'm sorry to hear about your daughter's problem. I'm glad to hear she's better now. Based on the research that I've read about HPV, the strain that causes cancer is NOT the same strain that causes warts (warts are benign). Perhaps she had more than one version of the HPV virus. There are still a lot of unanswered questions regarding the HPV virus, warts, cervical cancer, and just how exactly HPV is spread (many times only one person in a relationship will develop warts). I've also read that cervical cancer can be caused by smoking, poor eating habits, and weak immune system. It's a shame that in this day and age we still don't have many of the answers to the cause and cure of disease.
I'm wondering if anybody has any info regarding the various types of hpv strains. My boyfriend has hpv, with occassional visible tiny warts on his penis. We've used condoms throughout our relationship, but we plan to marry eventually and hopefully have kids. So since we're going to have condom-less sex eventually, I'm wondering whether I should just go on the pill now. Is it true that the visible type of hpv in men is the strain that is least problematic in women (in terms of cervical cancer risk)? Can this type of hpv be contracted orally as well? Any info would be helpful. Thanks!
I'm not a Doctor but I have read a lot about HPV. Yes from what I've read the strain that can cause cervical cancer in women is a different strain than the type that causes visible warts. I think you should just get regular pap smears (twice a year)and go on with your life. If abnormal cells are detected early then they can be treated before cancer develops. Also only a very small percentage of Women with HPV ever develop pre cancerous cells. If your diet and lifestyle are healthy and your immune system is strong then it's even less likely you would ever have any problems. All diseases and cancers are really just caused by a weak immune system which in my opinion is caused by a poor diet and lack of excercise. In other words everybody has the potential to develop cancer but some people's immune systems don't allow it to develop while others do.
PREVENTION is the mother of?
We say:"BE GOOD but if you can't, BE CAREFUL".
Yet, what ever you do, one, so it seems can't really LIVE and be
I have found an easy way to stimulate the immune system. Maybe it can also help you. One sure thing, it will not harm you nor ruin you.
Come, be informed.
Sorry to take so long to respond. I probably overreacted to your situation out of my own personal drama and history. It sounds like you have everything under control.
When I was 19, my very experienced and sexually active older boyfriend passed the kind that grow to me and I had to have them burned off at a dermatologist's office. It was sooooo humiliating. I did not know anything back then. I refused to have any further relations with him until he got his situation taken care of. Neither one of us had any more symptoms while we dated for another several years. He used over the counter wart medicine to burn his off. I did not have any more symptoms until 20 something years later when I was carrying my first full term pregnancy, and I thought my husband had passed one to me from his hand. From where it was, I think it was just a recurrence of a virus that I had dormant for many years, and my immunity was depressed from the pregnancy. I no longer have any symptoms and neither does my husband.
I think what Healthfreak writes is interesting. This is not my original understanding of HPV and wart symptoms, but I am learning all the time. I know that one does not have to have visible warts to have contracted HPV and there are many different strains of the virus. But anyway, regardless, you have seen the pictures. The warts can absolutely disfigure one's genitalia if not taken care of.
One of my previous co-workers had the HPV passed to her by her husband and did not find it until a pap smear. By that time she had to have some sort of surgery.
So l have been in a relationship for 3years and he just told me he have
warts and the first time in 3 years he have a break out and now I have them so what's the next step because urgent cares closed !and Planned Parenthood don't open until Monday morning!!!!!!!
I had a boyfriend a few months ago who had hpv. He gave me the virus, i know he did because he was my first. So i have vowed to not have sex again till im married. Some cases of hpv are extremely small and i not for sure if he ever had an out break or not but it is still contigious with out an out break. Be careful...I am dating someone else now whom i have no intensions on having sex with because i don't want to tell anyone what type of std i have. i didn't have an out break until three months after we broke up i am hoping my immune system will fight off the std i started exercising and taking vitamins to help my immune system become stronger.
Hey I really want you to email me. It's Runwayskier@hotmail.com I'm really upsett. I just found out that I have HPV, genital warts and I've been with the same guy for 8 months. I've been loyal and it hurts to know that he had this and didn't even know it. He was tested before we slept together and everything came out fine. People don't know they have it because it's microscopic and I think you have to ask specifically to be tested for it. I'm worried. I feel like it's my fault. I called the last guy I was with and he said he doesn't have anything but he will get checked. I feel like I should call everyone I ever slept with because I want to find out if it is my fault. The doctor said there is now way I gave it to him that he had to of given it to me because I would have noticed it earlier. I just feel like damaged goods. I'm worried about cancer in the future and pregnancy. I'm only 20 and I never thought this would happen to me. If I ever sleep with anyone else I'm going to have to tell them. I just need someone to talk to... write me My boyfriend hasn't been tested yet but, it disguists me that his ex gave it to him. It makes me angry and I hate her. She always calls him and I just hate thinking about the people he's been with in the past. I just want to cry.
Unfortunately, there is no definitive test for men UNLESS they have symptoms, which I'm assuming is how he got diagnosed. So don't be so quick to assume it is you. HPV can lay dormant for years before any symptoms show. Many people never have symptoms and never know they carry it. It's so common, it is believed that 80% of sexually active adults come into contact with it at least once in their lives. At this point, it's pointless to try and figure out who gave it to whom. Go to your gynecologist and tell him/her the circumstances and ask specifically to be tested for HPV. There's a DNA test they can give women now to find out just what strain(s) they are carrying (whether it's the "high risk" kind, the one that MAY lead to cervical cancer, or the "low risk", which only causes visible lesions.) I believe they take a scraping of your cervix; it's much like a pap test.
I am seeing more and more people post about ozone. That's good. I can offer personal experience on its efficacy. It would appear that those not getting results with ozone are doing the procedure wrong.
I posted a long message some months ago about the use of zinc, and during that protocol, I discovered ozone. I started researching after #3092's thread on "autohemotransfusion" (bless you, "bird"). I have followed any and every lead I could find. This time, I hit pay dirt. I contracted Herpes II about a year and a half ago. Since then, I had had an outbreak (ranging from mild to severe) every two to three weeks. What a freakin' nightmare!
Since starting my doctor administered autohemotransfusion, I have been outbreak and symptom free for two months. Better than this, my ex-girlfriend has been outbreak and symptom free too. Whoa!...what a major weight off. I stopped visiting curezone, but I wanted to post this message to give fellow seekers hope.
As for me, I do not live in America. A former resident of a Blue State, I have exiled myself! ;-) I live in Asia. Ozone therapy is readily available in many countries in Asia for usually 1/3 (or less) of the cost in Europe or North America. Take South Korea, for example; ozone treatments are not ubiquitous but can be found. The cost is 35,000won (currently $35.00 USD). So, if you are in a flexible situation and have a degree. Get yourself a six-month teaching job in Korea: travel, make money, and rid yourself of herpes. Go to http://www.eslcafe.com for job postings.
The protocol which the doctor administered included two weeks of two treatments per week, followed by eight weeks of weekly treatments. The treatments involved simply (and painlessly) having blood drawn from my arm (and placed into a polyvinyl chloride plastic bag; the same type of bag used at a Red Cross blood drive). Ozone is then infused into the bag using a Leur syringe where the blood becomes bright cardinal red (attributed to the extra molecule of oxygen?). After that, the blood was returned into my arm. Ozone therapy gave me a feeling of light euphoria for several hours--a general sense of well-being.
Ozone! I have every confidence it will work as well for you as it has with me.
P.S. Now, I want to reach out to fellow curezoners. Even though I have abated the use of zinc (and simultaneously experimenting with DMSO), my orgasms have reduced dramatically in intensity. Sometimes, I have no orgasm at ejaculation at all. I wonder if I have damaged nerve cells. Sometimes being one's own guinea pig has its drawbacks. Can anyone offer any insights? I have thought that perhaps my diet in Asia is depriving me of some vitamin or nutrient that I have forever had in North America. Thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If there is a section at curezone that someone could recommend, please pass that along. Next month, I will go to a urologist if this condition doesn't clear up.
thanks for the post. I have heard many positive things about ozone therapy. I could never find it around where I live, though, and after research learned that you can essentially do the same thing in a number of different ways.
Most of us are overly acidic. Even if we eat well we can be overly acidic as most of us are not eating an 80% raw diet and have cooked foods and meat in our lives. When you combine this with all the coffee, soda, alcohol and junk food which is common in the states at least, this leaves the body in a state of chronic acidosis.
This was the heart of all of my outbreaks and although it took a long time (about a year) I eventually got to a point where my body was no longer acidic, once again alkaline, and the OB's disappeared.
"alkaline" is the same as "oxygenated" which is the same as "ozonated" which is the same as "ionized". It all means the same thing! :) The key for me in making the OB's go away, which were chronic before I took control of my health, was:
1) taking an alkaline solution every day morning and night
2) Increasing exercise and breath, which is an oxygenating process. (people talk of lactic acid and such things, but regular exercise = net gain in oxygenation period.)
3) DRASTICALLY altering my diet to include a ton of ruffage, raw food, and zero coffee/soda/junk food.
I post this because there are those who pay for ozone thereapy, and are doing well only to have OB's again down the road. I suggest that if you haven't already, you focus on a great diet, breathwork and regular exercise.
Ozone is great, but it is essentially a quick fix method of oxygenating/alkalinizing many areas of the body/TISSUE simultaneously. This is beautiful but if you go back to the same habits which casued the acidosis in the first place, the future may bring some heartache! And unfortunately, this heartbreak can be much worse than a simple herpes outbreak.
I had looked into Oxygenation/Ozone therapy a few months before going onto BHT. My main concern was while I read on the web that a doctor in Italy was "curing" people of Herpes with large doses of ozone, I also read elsewhere that there was a chance of getting blood clots. Has anyone else come across information like this?
I, like Brian, believe that breakouts are related to having too much acid in the body. Lists of Alkaline/Acid foods are readily available on the web.
A few weeks ago, I read a woman in her late 60 or early 70 was dead after I.V. Hydrogen Peroxide in 4/2004. She felt pain and had hemorrhage the next day, and she was resided in USA. It might have been a pre-existing condition in her blood that she does not have enough hemoglobin.
I am thinking of monthly blood test with whatever you want to emphasize be tested if you take I.V. Hydrogen Peroxide. I don't remembered where is the website for everyday I need to spend a lot of time to read and cure myself. Recently, my lymph nodes under my arms hurt, so I researched a lot on this. Fortunately, after vigorous walking around and lifting in shopping mall for two days, the pain is gone.
Hey everyone just wanted to add my two sense here. I have had great success in a multiple approach to my condition. First off I have used a solution of 70%DMSO/30%Aloe Vera mixed with ~3.5% Hydrogen Peroxide, topically on the affected areas. This is great for pre-existing outbreaks or outbreak prevention. Just try to apply this solution about 1-3 times daily depending on how religious you can be. I have had outbreaks disappear or not even occur. If you have had enough outbreaks you can kind of tell when they are about to begin (usually that itchy tingly sensation). This is the best time to use this topical solution.
I haven't seen it mentioned here too often but the Herpes virus lays dormant in the trigeminal ganglion (nerve tissue cluster at the top of the spinal cord) and the sacral ganglion (nerve tissue cluster at the bottom of the spinal cord). This is crucial because these areas of the body are very hard to reach with certain treatments, thus the reoccuring effect of the outbreaks. During those times when you think everything is going to be all right that pesky lil' bastard is just waiting to be triggered. Diet, Stress, Sexual Activity and what not can all trigger these outbreaks (if not in conjunction with eachother). I have read that you might be able to reach these areas with DMSO. DMSO works because its basically a heavy duty solvent can dissolve both organic and inorganic materials. Also it has a high affinity for water (it is drawn to water). So these properties together means it can readily transverse through body tissue. This used to be tested in schools by placing a small amount of DMSO in your hand w/ coffee grounds and shortly after you get the sensation of coffee taste in your mouth!!! Lastly DMSO is a source of oxygen and is a great carrier molecule (O stands for oxide). Being a carrier molecule (hence carrying the coffee taste) DMSO can be used to transport oxygen to body tissue.
This is why mixing it with Hydrogen Peroxide helps. I usually buy organic food grade (35%) Hydrogen Peroxide and dilute it to about 3% by mixing it with DISTILLED WATER ONLY. WARNING if you buy 35% hydrogen peroxide make sure you buy food grade only... there is an industrial grade (BAD!!!!!) don't get confused just because they are both 35%. ONLY USE DISTILLED WATER. Mixing hydrogen peroxide with tap or spring water can result in the creation of certain free radicals which are extremely unhealthy.
After this is created you can apply it to the affected areas and too the areas around the trigeminal and sacral ganglions (top and bottom of the spine). In theory this oxygenates those areas in which the immune system cannot effectively reach.
Ok sorry for this rambling but I have to run. SOme time in the near future I have a great post which also includes diet tips and methods of inducing lymph drainage and even zapping helps too. Good Luck and remember this is only part of a regimen that should be used to combat outbreaks.
I have seen online if you do the ozone therapy for 4-6 weeks it can cure herpes have u did the full course? Because this is what I plan on doing I have to cure this sickness if u can help it will be appreciated I heard the ozone therapy and the hydrogen peroxide therapy helps as well where u basically drink a diluted solution daily to cure the sickness I'm going to this combo and a fixed diet to hope that this helps as well as taking olive leaf and echinea supplements to aid the immune system
Hi you can do ozone therapy at home by buying an ozone generator and you can administer the ozone yourself using rectal insufflation.Basically you pump ozone gas into the rectum. It is 95% as effective as the blood transfusion method but costs less.
After stuffering from herpes for 13 years I nolonger have any symptoms or outbreaks.
There are many suppliers of ozone equipment but you can get everything you need from promolife.
You can see many studies on the internet that prove ozone therapy works.Look up Dr Konrad Heinz of Brazil.
I would just like to add that it is a real tragedy that sufferers of herpes are not pursuing the ozone solution.
I have been posting recently because all this suffering is so unnecessary. There really is a solution to herpes.
Just get an ozone generator and do it from home via rectal insufflation. Promolife sell them but there are many other suppliers.I know Ebay sell the oxygen generators cheap.
I suffered from herpes for 13 years but not anymore.Nothing worked for me and I tried it all.So many people lie to get your money and by now you must be sick and tired of hearing about cures. However, ozone is the best solution there is and you can study it yourself on the internet.Look up DR Konrad Heinz of Brazil.
The solution to herpes is right under your nose.It makes no difference to me where you buy your equipment.I have nothing to gain by giving you this information. However, i do have a moral duty to tell you because it does work. You should all make an effort to try it!
If you do ozone therapy from home you can use the ozone machine as much as you want but it may take 2 months to get results and the outbreaks to stop.
If you want anymore information just send me a message.

First of all I dont like the word cured because the virus can hide in your body.
I am no doctor or scientist.Konrad Heinz does seem to suggest that the virus can be elimintated from your body.
You need to do the ozone therapy for atleast 2 months and after that time the outbreaks should stop.In my case I had no further outbreaks after doing it for 4 weeks.
If you have your own ozone generator you can use it daily for a couple of minutes. This should prevent any future reoccurences.
Ozone is the closest thing to a cure.To be honest I got sick and tired of listening to people saying this works and that works but in truth nothing worked for me.There is clear evidence on the internet that ozone does work which is why I took the plunge and bought the equipment.
Ozone is good for multiple diseases so if you get the equipment you can use it for other health issues you may suffer in the future.
All the equipment you need is on the promolife website. The oxygen is forced out from either a cyclinder or generator and you can adjust the pressure up or down.
With herpes we are all different but given the misery this virus causes I felt I should tell everyone how i fought it and I am happy with the results.
I should add that I did ozone therapy for 3 times a day for 7 days but I started feeling very tired which can be a reaction to the ozone killing bacteria and viruses in your body.I therefore stopped for 7 days to recover and then started again for 3 weeks again doing it 3 times per day but again I started feeling tired so I stopped for another week.I now do it just once a day for 2-5 minutes just before going to bed and I get no outbreaks and I never feel tired anymore.Sometimes I go abroad and dont do ozone therapy but I dont get out breaks. If I stopped for say 6 months I dont know if it would return. If you do ozone every day for a lengthy period I would assume your chances of killing the virus completely will increase.
I suspect having some mild and chronic STD for 5 years, even though no tests came back positive.
During the first year, I took 10 days of rifampin and 30 days of azithromycin, but no cure.
I'm considering starting on both again but for longer time, but is it possible that the bacteria have become resistant to both antibiotics, and are still resistant after 5 years? I need to speak to someone who is an expert on these antibiotics.
I'll try to keep this short lol so I was diagnosed with Genital Herpes after going to the docs for some vaginal itchiness, redness as well as on my anus.
Well this "issue" has been going on for about 5 months now. At first it was only near my anus so my doc prescribed me a hemorrhoid ointment and all the itchiness went away and I was fine! But once I stopped using the ointment it came back but 10 times worse. So I went back and again he gave me a different hemorrhoid ointment and again it went away but once it ran out it came back. So then I got tested and they found I had genital herpes and gave me an anti-viral 7 day medicine as well as Valtrex to take when I get another outbreak. Well I took the 7 day medication and it didn't help. I saw my first bumps show up and then turn into small sores.
From everything I've read I know everyone is different but they're not even that painful... it's more of an annoyance than anything and if your first outbreak is the worst then this is it? Really? Once the medication was out and my bumps were still there I got the Valtrex.
Well for almost 3 months now I have this ENDLESS cycle of getting itchy, getting bumps, them turning into small sores, having them for about a week, them healing and me being fine, them coming back that same day.
I went back to my doc and told him nothing is working and he referred me to a colon specialist and I just had a colonoscopy done to make sure it's nothing up there. I will get the results for that in a few days but I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this happen to them.
I just really doubt it's something with my colon but am also doubting it's herpes. An outbreak should only last at most 4 weeks and I'm going on 3 months now. That and they go away and come back within the same day. I'm just really frustrated and don't know what I should do next. I've even tried some home remedies like soaking in a warm bath of epsom salt, tea tree oil and apple cider vinegar and it helps with the itching but nothing seems to keep the bumps from coming back after they heal :(
Please if anyone has an advice or what I can try please let me know... this is really hurting my sex life (or lack there of) in my marriage... :(
I understand exactly what you are going through. For years I put up with the pain of Herpes and got no relief. Then I discovered coconut water and never looked back. I have had no outbreaks since drinking one fresh coconut water a day for the last 12 months. I buy them from the local supermarket and drill and hole in the side of it. Insert a straw and drink it straight from the coconut. Easy!
Hi, the best advice I can give is to get the sreum within the blisters tested. should it come back as a normal HSV2 strain, this is great news as you can be put onto another aniviral, but should it come back as a resistant strain, this is a whole other kettle of fish.
I have been suffering with the resistant strain for the past 17+ years and I am now at the stage that there is nothing that can be done for me only pain management.
firstly get the test but then get into a natropath and get some natural therepies happening, then look into diets which will boost the immune system, then and I know this is the hardest one of all, reduce your stress level. I know I know easier said than done but do whatever it takes to achieve this.
I have been married for the whole time of me having this rotten virus and I have had two children, no one in my family has ever contracted the virus, which is a blessing but my husband is extremely supportive. I will be honest I am in a different boat than you as the virus itself only attacks myt lef upper thigh and my right lower back/spine but the pain associated with it does put me away for weeks on end.
I hope that the above helps in some way and I wish you all the luck int he world. And just quickly, If the dr you are seeing is not proactive in getting a handle on it, dont hesitate to see someone else. I have seen some drs and specialists and they have not been at all helpful and I have not gone back. You are the one who knows exeactly what it is doing to you and if the dr you are seeing is not supportive of you, then he is not the right one to help you. You have to be proactive, dont take everything they say as gospel.
"first get the test"????? I have called my derm, gyno, labcorp, the cdc and the dept of health and no one can tell me where I can get a test that tells me if the the form of herpes I has is valtrex resistant. Mind telling me where you can get "the test"?????
Thanks. and supposedly now there are a couple of meds that work for resistant strains, at least according to a virology study.
The same happened to me. But thankfully, I encountered an effective program that worked for me. With its help, I was able to decrease my obs from 5-8/year to none so far (I started the program last February and I haven't had one since) I learned that the mind body connection is really powerful.
I've had gonorrhea and trach for around 5 months now. My ex cheated and gave it to me. I didn't have a penil discharge just a small itch and kinda burn while peeing for three days. Every since other than than some pain my stomach I have been good. I know I have it cause she have it and I had symptoms and stuff. What's the best thing to use to get rid of it? I saw Colloidal Silver and would that be the way to go? Or is something better, I cannot go to the clinic and price range is around 50-60 bucks. I only care about getting rid of the gono right now.
i haven't been on this forum in a while. however, i just want to say how disgusted i am by the advertisements for resolve herpes on here.
people, i personally used resolve herpes back in 2009. it doesn't work. take it from someone who took it, posted a blog about it, and did the same time with a lot of other people who decided to track progress online on a site called the hub.
we paid the $299, and the extra money to get the booster.
while we're at it:
bht doesn't work either. i tried that.
i will tell you what has been working for me:
i found that what i was eating triggered outbreaks. through trial and error:
I found that ompletely cutting out corn syrup out of my diet (no soda, no grape jelly etc) and taking 2000 mg lysine in the morning on an empty stomach significantly reduced my breakouts to a bare minimum.
when i feel an outbreak coming on, i up my lysine dosage to 2000 mg twice a day and fortunately for me i respond to valtrex so i take 1000 mg of valtrex once a day for two days and that pretty much ends the outbreak.
there is no cure but there is a feasible way of living with it.
please don't listen to the rest of these companies posing as real people, i've spent the money and done the work for almost 23 years (really!). none of it works.
just figure out what triggers your outbreaks and go from there. there are still real people on this forum that care.
feel free to contact me if you have any questions. i will answer you because this is just ridiculous!
Yeah. I have had mine for years and I have learned that certain types of food can trigger the outbreak. And that your thinking/perception also may be a factor. Personally, keeping myself away from dairy products limited the number of outbreaks and I was under a program called thesolutiontoherpes.com which totally suppressed my outbreaks. Totally happy with it.
I apologize for taking so long to answer. I was actually out of the country for a few years working and could not access anything appropriately enough to respond.
I reiterate what I posted before years ago: nothing really works but just regulating your diet, and avoiding the trigger foods/situations that will cause an outbreak.
Any food with a higher level of arginine to lysine in it will probably cause an outbreak.
For example, almond milk won't work for me because it will cause an outbreak, so will cashew milk, hemp milk, chocolate, peanuts, etc. however, ..regular cow's milk will do fine. so i drink fat free or skim milk.
Please search online for the many lists/charts of foods that show the ratio between these two amino acids.
Regarding herbs: Don't be fooled, just because something is an herb, be aware that there are herbs that will trigger an outbreak, it is all trial and error and everyone's physiological make up is different.
There is no magic bullet, there is no one food or pill that's going to make it all go away. There is no cure.
However, if you keep your lysine intake higher than your arginine intake, if you lay off aspartame, high fructose corn syrup and preservatives in food, you have a fighting chance of leading a life of some consistent relief.
Oddly for me, white Sugar is okay, as long as it's not high fructose corn syrup so I was happy when, manufacturers began selling 'organic' soda....soda with regular Sugar and not HFCS.
I recommend only this: Start the day with 2000 mg of lysine on an empty stomach.
Eat fish, cheese, try to keep things low fat so your cholesterol levels won't climb.
And keep those arginine levels lower than lysine. I know it's hard when you're not home, but drink water in place soda when eating out and when you travel and you can't look at the backs of labels to see the ingredients, then take 500 mg - 2000 mg extra lysine with each meal.
I repeat: no, no, no resolve herpes does not work, herpes solution does not work, there is nothing that can cure any strain of herpes (oral or genital). Stop looking for a cure and start looking to live with it honestly for yourself.
After you have your plan, go out, live your life and save your money ... I've spent all the money there is spend and agonized enough about it to learn that life is too short.
Let me say this:
If you want a cure just so you can avoid THE CONVERSATION, that is, telling a future partner that you have herpes, please understand, that won't happen either.
Every time you meet someone with the intention of exploring an intimate relationship with him/her, you will have to have THE CONVERSATION. Yes, there is a risk, they can walk away, there is a risk they will tell everyone they know about it. Yes it is not just embarrassing but probably one of deepest confidential secrets each HSV2 person carries that exposes the very worst part of ourselves.
I'm not perfect, I admit, I struggle with it every time I have an outbreak, subconsciously spewing hate toward the person that gave it to me. Beating myself up emotionally for being so careless with my body.
But here's the thing, outbreaks don't last forever, and I'm learning they do lessen with time as long as I do what I'm supposed to do (and I've had the virus since 1988).
I am learning, we can only do what we can and live with: we have to be honest with ourselves and live with the reality of that we will have to have THE CONVERSATION with each and every new partner that comes along.
Comfort yourself in knowing that the right person you have THE CONVERSATION with will appreciate and be impressed with your honesty. They will be so impressed, they will do all they can to hold on to you. They will love you so much, they will protect your secret more than you will.
And who knows, you may have to make a decision with someone who has to have THE CONVERSATION with you and it won't be about HSV2, it will be about HIV.
I am learning to have some perspective and my hope is, if you have HSV2, you will too.
