Hey everyone! Its been a while since I posted on curezone. I made many health improvements and found that I had other issues besides giardia which lowered my immune system keeping me from getting better.
At this point I'd like to start using a Microscope and I have questions for those with Microscope experience. Which microscope should I buy? I have been looking at the following microscope on ebay.
I'm interested in one with a digital camera and at 265 USD or lower. I understand that at high magnification, there is a need for a system that moves the sample. Moving it by hand moves too much at a time but I really don't know what to look for on a microscope. Any help will be appreciated.
Here are some reasons why I want a microscope (and possibly centrifuge).
1. I can test the sample before sending to the lab so I do not waste $$ sending samples that does not appear to have anything.
2. One of the labs that found giardia in Brazil used faust method to detect giardia under a microscope. This faust (zinc-sulphate flotation) method does not seem too complicated and requires a centrifuge. It looks like something I would be able to do. There are also other methods which I might be able to do.
3. I'm not sure but I'm hoping it will be possible to monitor the performance of treatments by testing everyday when taking medication and after treatment is done.
4. I spent so much money and over a decade with different drs and labs with limited success that It's frustrating to be under the mercy of prohibitively expensive and or incompetent drs.
I have a research microscope, and when I first started, I was finding everything under the sun. Problem is, most were normal artifacts. And when you do find something interesting, it could be just passing through. There is a lot of experience that goes into this, but I don't want to discourage you if you want to pursue this discipline.
Giardia is very distinctive and easy to identify, and they can be motile. Staining is to make conclusive evidentiary finding. The visual inspection should suffice for the purpose of convincing your doctor to run real tests. Or, there are plenty of private labs that will do this for probably less than the price of the equipment you will purchase.
Giardia is an easy ID in my opinion, if the infection is acute. You could even grow the cysts in the right medium, from stool sample if nothing is found immediately.
Unfortunately there are other parasites that are far more difficult to ID, and these are the bulk of what brings people to these forums.
Hi everyone, I'm new here.
So this all started happening two months ago after my family and I came back from Great Wolf Lodge. Immediately after we arrived home I hopped in the shower. As I was shampooing my hair it felt as if something bit me. I quickly got out of the shower to examine but couldn't see anything. I also started developing itchy feet. Then for the next four days I was very gassy and had diarrhea. On the fourth day I noticed what appeared to be tons of rice in my stool. I bought Reese's Pinworm Medicine that same day and by the next morning I was on the toilet for two hours with neverending white worms falling out of my butt. When it finally stopped, my dad took me to urgent care and they requested blood, urine, and stool samples. Of course, no surprise, the stool sample came back negative even though there were more worms in that sample than stool. The doctor said I was crazy and needed to go to a psychiatrist. He said my mind was making it up. He prescribed a three day course of mebendazole anyway, and to no avail the symptoms persisted. After my round of mebendazole my family gave up caring and then deemed me as crazy too, since as my mom says "well the medicine would've killed them." (I'm 17, so still living with them). It got to the point where my mom almost kicked me out of the house (since if your daughter was mentally ill putting her on the streets is a good Christian thing to do). I've also been taking wormwood, Black-Walnut , caprylic acid, eating garlic, probiotics & eating yogurt, high fiber diet, echinacea & cat's claw, and iron supplements since I was fainting a lot. Flash forward to present day, I have tons of white markings and sores on the inside of my mouth, weird vertical elevated lines on my arms that appear to be worms (periodically I'll get pain in my arms and it feels as if I'm getting my blood drawn), I cough up yellow & bloody mucus multiple times a day, I have yellow mucus and white worms in my stool, yeast infection, swollen lymph nodes, itchy & burning eyes nasal passages & ears, extremely itchy scalp, large pieces of sand looking debris that I find all over my bed in the morning and the most of it is under where my crotch was (I wear two pairs of underwear and pants to bed but this still happens), and a week ago my butt has started itching & stinging at night so a couple days ago I started using toilet paper as buttplugs for nighttime (that has provided significant relief). What appears to be threadworms are all over my sheets, clothes, furniture, and on every surface in my house. I can even see them floating in the air sometimes. White thin pieces of string that wiggle. I can't get rid of them. I wash my laundry in extremely hot water, detergent, and bleach and then set the dryer on the hottest setting and the laundry will still come out with them wiggling. We don't have any pets either. I feel so hopeless since I'm getting no support from my family and it seems everyday my symptoms & pain is getting worse. Especially since I feel as if I can't get away from these things. I wash my hands and dry them on a towel and boom, they're stuck to my hands. No clean towel is actually "clean". Prior to two months ago I never even knew these things existed. I've only ever heard of tapeworms. Everyone thinks I'm crazy and making it up. Please help and give advice.
Sounds like pinworms and roundworms. The most common. It takes more then one dose of Pinworm Medicine plus paragard or some other good tincture to get rid of them.
You should see a reduction of the symptoms after taking 3 of the tincture droplets full three times a day for 2 weeks.
Personally I do Pinworm Medicine every week. It is not digested well by you so it is pretty safe.
You have probably have had them for years and they lay a 1000 eggs a day each.
It will take months of taking the medication (3x3 droplets full a day and pinworm medication) to get rid of them. Then follow up ever 3-6 months.
Can anyone identify what I have been coughing up? I'm working on getting treated, but my ID doctor would not look at the pic. He brushed it off as if I'm crazy and told me to stop taking pics. I was in close contact with a cat that came up positive for roundworm for about 6 months. He was dewormed, but I guess it didn't work and I had to retreat six months later. Thanks in advance! Everyone is great on this forum and I'm very thankful there is place like this for help.
Thank you for responding! They are normally off white and sometimes seem to be transparent, at least for the ones that I cough up. I coughed up a bunch of pink ones after a night when I was went to see a tribute Beatles show and had some red drinks. I haven't drank anything in months, but had a few drinks that night and literally felt like I was dying while trying to sleep. I won't touch any kind of alcohol again until this is over. I wish my doc would have just looked at the pic:(
So it is likely a type of ascaris. Often the different stages can look different, like the larvae is more see through or the young ones can be see through or yellowish or whitish in colour. A red or pink tint means they feed on blood. hookworm stages can also look like this.
why do you wish the doctor looked at your pictures. what could he do with them. i do not think anything useful. give up on the idea that the medical system will help. they will simply not.
You need a good roundworm protocol. Oxibendazole, fenbendazole, albendazole, mebendazole, papain powder, papaya seeds, piperazines, diethylcarbamazine, ivermectin, moxidectin, pyrantel, levamisole and doxycycline are meds that come to my mind. These are all used, many of them at the same time. you can also start doing enemas daily which gives you more of an idea. Alcohol, hormones, steroids, stimulants, coffee and black tea, drugs are all substances you should completely refrain from using while infected with roundworms. even certain food supplements can do harm such as certain mineral supplements and iron supplements. better to take these in their natural form. you will need to stabilize your body PH, mineral and metal status, toxic metals and build up your detox system pathways in order to be able to safely remove them with meds. you need to learn how to detox in case of emergency when they start dieing in the body as toxins are dangerous and can easily kill you.
you can find more info on this if you search for mattk3's document called Ascaris 123 here on the forum, and also on debugyourhealth.com
Hi! I have traveled extensively in developing countries, which made me first believe I have parasites. After years of testing and worsening symptoms (autoimmune, chronic illnesses, along with habitual symptoms like brain fog, bloating, weight gain +/- 50 lbs from 90lbs - 140). The other day, a huge white clump that looks like a wad of gum, and blobs of mucus with blood streaks, and red veiny "jelly beans." I had a parasite test from the Parasitology Center in AZ, but they all came back negative :( At 21 years old, this is pretty tough to deal with. I just finished humaworm and am now on Parasmart. Any chance someone could ID?
This is EXACTLY what I've been experiencing off-and-on for the past three years. I'm a 36-yr-old male living in the United States. It started shortly after I got married and had a honeymoon in the Caribbean.
These dark, tissue-like strings showing up in your stool looks identical to mine. Dramatic weight loss and gain. Brain fog. Pretty much everything you mentioned. Also, I notice my tongue is coated white when I'm having these problems.
When it was at it's worst, it was accompanied by a strange vomiting syndrome and I lost close to a hundred pounds, then my weight went back up again when the vomiting stopped and I was able to eat. I was also getting suicidal ideation and other mental symptoms, which was extremely scary for me because I have no history of depression or mental illness. I had just gotten married and had everything to live for, so it didn't make any sense.
I wish I could tell you whether this was candida or parasites. I lean toward the candida explanation, but I don't really know for sure. I too have had parasite tests and stool cultures done and they all come back negative. I've been to doctors and naturopaths. They all say I'm medically healthy and have no explanation for it.
I became so desperate at one point, I sent away for some medicine they give to primates from the UK, illegal to sell in the US for human consumption. It was a white powder I had to mash into guacamole (because it's fat soluable), and it was supposed to destroy the "chitin layer" of whatever candida or parasites are in your colon. I think it helped a little, but ultimately didn't make it go away.
Once I noticed my symptoms were much, much worse when consuming sugar, it became a lot easier to manage.
After trying all kinds of supplements and remedies for years (and continuing to suffer), the thing that finally helped me manage it is avoiding Sugar and occasionally drinking a six-week course of pau D'arco tea. Traditional Medicinals makes it and it should be easy to find at any health food store.
Once I did that, I was in remission for more than a year, feeling great at a weight of 160 lbs. Lately, as I've become more lax about eating Sugar and things our body turns into Sugar (like commercial pizza, potatoes, ice cream and the like) my weight has slowly creeped up past 200 lbs and my stool is looking like yours again. I just bought a box of pau D'arco and I'm hoping that will flush it out.
Please, if anyone can identify what this is I would love to know so that I can fight it and hopefully eliminate it completely. It's a horrible, horrible thing to live with.
Thanks for sharing your story and pics. It's good to know I'm not the only person dealing with this.
Good luck, my friend, and I hope me sharing my story helps you in some way.
Hi, you have rooeworms. I've just recently discovered I have them as well. I actually may have gotten them from the Caribbean years ago on my honeymoon too, but I've been reading they think they originate from GMOs. I'm starting a water fast, have ordered h202 for oxygen therapy and will begin diatemacsous earth after the fast. Search ropeworm on YouTube. Lots of info there.
