I am living proof that chronic fatigue is an up and down journey based on things you can control making you healthy and those you can't control making you sicker than a dog.
I was doing so well, for 3 weeks. My PH got up to 6.8.
Then came the nastiness I couldn't control. For 2.5 months our home was exposed to mothballs! I lived with that poisonous stank for more than my body could handle.
My PH went down to 6.2- undoing so much progress I made. My chronic sinus infection I've had since I was diagnosed 1.5 years ago, just ran like a faucet. I had constant headaches, and accumulated 2 MORE chronic infections, thrush, and sore lymph nodes under my arms.
It took 2.5 months to find a new home, difficulty being I can't be in an apartment where I would be exposed to cigarette smoke, perfume, chemicals and emf (other people's wifi, Cell Phone
s, old electrical). After moving in to a luvly new place, I crashed for 2 weeks, spending days at a time in bed. But then my PH went up to 6.8 and I felt pretty good.
Now here's the interesting part about weight loss! I've been on the raw food diet for 10 months! My average weight before CF was 140-145lbs, and that I maintained with ALOT of discipline.
I ate a high protein diet 5X/day, and exercised like crazy. I ate junk like icecream or pizza 1-2x a week. This was very difficult because I was always craving something (especially after 7pm I would get the munchies).
When I got CF, my weight went up to 158lbs. That was the highest in my life, still in the healthy BMI, but I knew it was bloating and an unclean colon, plus not sleeping for months on end.
When I went on the raw food diet, I lost 15 lbs in 6 weeks. After green juicing
everyday, I stopped craving whatever my body was begging for. The diet became so easy! I was very content to stay in the low 140's.
Then by summer, I was 130, but still with all my curves. My waist just got smaller. I have maintained a size 7US for most of my adult life, except for a few times losing discipline (creeping into size 9).
At 130, I am now a size 5, which I haven't been since I was a teenager. I've read many times that this means your hormones are better balanced.
I was 130 for 5 months. Now in the last couple weeks, as my PH jumped up to 6.9-7.0, in just a few days, I went down to 125! I still eat as much as I want, and am never hungry or thirsty. I don't want to stay at this weight, but I know my body needs to empty every fat cell of stored toxins.
I just think it is so interesting how the body works. When I had more alkalinity, it was safe to release more toxins from fat cells to be neutralized.
I think that is why some people plateau even on low calories. Its just not safe to empty a fat store of energy, and release the toxins (because their PH is 7.0 and lower). People may not have enough alkalinity to neutralize the toxins.
Now for the bad stuff.
The side effect is suddenly, I have CF sleep problems. For 9 months, I was sleeping through the night without hardly waking. And now I am not sleeping 2 or 3 days in a row. It is like when I was still on fluoride.
My eyes are wide awake, and I feel like I'm wired on coffee. I can only assume that the toxins released are stimulating me OR something is preventing me from producing melatonin. And to my surprise, fibromyalgia is back, but only in my upper left arm. It feels like an ache with teeny little splinters of something in the muscle.
It is no where near what it was at my worst CF. From Sept-Dec 2010, my PH was 4.5, I didn't sleep those months, and I learned what fibromyalgia feels like. I had the ache in both arms, and it weakened my strength. But much worse was the electrical jolts through my right wrist and right foot. Several times, I dropped objects because of sudden surge of pain and almost fell to my knees with this shock from my ankle through my toes.
It really feels like being electrocuted through the joints. I can't even imagine what serious fibromyalgia in the majority of muscles and joints would feel like.
(I imagine like sand in your muscles and someone zapping you with a cattle prodder! Mine was peanuts yet shook me deeply).
The good news is when I got my PH to 6.0, it was long gone! It was a sure sign that my body was detoxing all that acid. But now its back to a degree, likely not for long. I also have a rash on my inner arm.
Junk IS coming out! Yay!
On the up side again, I look younger than I have since the moth ball incident. And in this last 1.5 weeks, I have had 5 awesome days where I felt like my old self- creative and energetic (crazy, because I'm sleep deprived). I hadn't had even 1 good day since the moth ball nastiness. This is a huge step to have 5!
I now dry fast (no water or food) every Thursday. (We grocery shop Friday, so there's no fresh veggies left anyway). (I drink and eat breakfast before 9am, and then don't eat or drink til the next morning, 24 hours later).
I used to think fasting was crazy, and too hard. But I look my youngest on Friday, my skin is beautiful, and my eyes very clear. It is definitely anti-aging. But that's not the most important reason I do it.
I use it to fight infection. Yes, chronic fatigue is not just about super low energy. It's a crash in the immune system, making you prone to chronic infections. So far, I have dehydrated to death a jaw infection, infection in both eyes, yeast infection, bladder infection, and tender lymph nodes. ALL of these needed antibiotics according to the doctor.
Many CF patients get the illness after long courses of anti-biotics, and/or prolonged stress on immune system. The LAST thing my health needs is to suppress my immune system
Bacteria and parasites die quickly without water, but last a long time without food. So Water Fasting
doesn't produce the amazing results dry fasting does. Just remember dry fasting is dangerous if you are eating toxins.
I have had rosacea since I was 12. Until I started dry fasting, I would never go outside without foundation makeup. My face was so red and neck so white. After a dry fast, my skin is luvly creamy color, not as pale as my neck, but now they match better. However, if I get an infection after being around sick people and not sleeping, the rosacea creeps back.
The other infections I have still not won with dry fasting is my chronic sinus infection and thrush (white tongue). They both almost disappear every Friday morning. But then, I am with people every Sunday.
Within 1/2 hour, I have a fever and sore throat. No one ever looks sick, but colds and viruses always use me as a petri dish. Also, several times a week, I get a sore throat shortly after kissing my hubby.
So this constant reintroduction of bad stuff into my body always finds my sinuses and my low level of good digestive bacteria to be my weakest link. But from my research, bad bacteria and parasites need 6.8PH and lower.
A healthy 7.2 person rarely gets sick because the terrain is wrong for the bad stuff. The healthy bacteria can flourish. I think when I get up to that PH, my sinuses, thrush and rosacea will disappear.
