KI is the molecule the body uses. the thyroid makes thyroid hormones with the iodine. yes, the KI molecule is broken up by the thyroid. T1, T2, T3, and T4 all designate how many atoms of Iodine they have in them in their names. KI, the molecule used to "iodize" salt, is broken aprt and recombined by the body all the time. it provides elemental Iodine to the places it is needed.
look at it this way. iodide, the salt, is just food. the elemental form as in Lugols is caustic, reactive, and corrective in nature. it is more like medicine. i still take iodine every day because i can, but is it necessary? probably not most of the time, especially in one who is iosdine sufficient, which can take 3 months or 3 years, depending on the condition of the person.
as for the lungs, KI is an expectorant, not an antibiotic. ozone directly into the blood is what i prefer for infections.
there are reasons for precise measurements with salt and water for certain things, like neti and the salt push. too much salt can cause real bad swelling, discomfort, or worse. not enough salt is ineffective.
experience, boldness, and determination will win this battle every time.
Many thanks, I think I would prefer to do that as I need support for this. What about taking a kelp tablet with just the RDA (iodine) in it, I read kelp is good for the adrenals - it is the one I used to take before I started on Iodine and it never gave me an issue.
Trapper (below) is right that you should cut down on the dosage. Ever hear the expression: Too much of a good thing? Salt is essential to our survival, but you can kill yourself with it if you ingest a cup or two in one sitting.
As to expense, you can make your own Lugol's cheaply and have enough left over to sell to friends and family for a lot less than they'd have to pay on line. Just Google "make Lugol's" and you'll see Tony's YouTube video. You'll have an initial cost--one of them being a postage scale to weigh the Iodine crystals. I think mine cost about $4 or $5.Your small investment will repay you. I made a batch of Lugol's about 2 years ago, gave some to friends and family and still have plenty for me.
