When things go smooth
When things go smooth, I can get several gallons of essential oils from the other side of the planet in just a few days, which is amazing…..as long as all the paper work is there and the way they want it to read, things can go amazingly fast.
I learned to never confuse people that do not know your language and weight measurements--always best to order 1 product at a time. You just about bet they will call the product some other name, so buying 2-3 at a time only leads to confusion for them.
When storing a lifetime supply of essential oils; gallon glass jugs work well. leave plenty of air space and a plastic cap--not a lined metal cap. Always avoid metals when dealing with herbs. Even if the metal caps are coated in plastic, they can fail over time.
Essential oils can try to rise and climb out of your glass container. Some worse than others. So a tight lid and besides a common label, write on the plastic lid what is in the jug, because if the essential oil does climb out and drip a little on the outside, it will destroy your label.
Most all herbs will have a different color, especially herbal tinctures. it may take a few years to reach their final color, but if you line them up on a shelf, it is easy to see every herb has a different color.
With essential oils, some will be very different in color, otherwise they will be a light / clear in color and if they get much oxygen such as in a 1/2 full container, they will darken a little over time.
The essential oil is just 1 part of the total plant. Most herbal history is going to be about the plant as a whole, unless it describes the flower, leaf or bark or even the root as the desired part. So it is very difficult to really know how your body is going to make use of any herb…each person has to self-experiment just like they do with every food/drink they have ever tried, only with herbs the dose starts out small and with essential oils, that dose is very small, such as just smelling the oil in the air.
Taking essential oils on the skin, in the air or in the mouth will make the body deal with the very fine oils…
I have to believe essential oil of cayenne to be the most powerful essential oil---just 1/10th of 1 drop on your wrist may burn for hours like it was a bee sting…….i obtained several lifetime supplies of that oil 10+ years ago……it is extremely thick, so i dissolve it with 50% oregano oil.
Some essential oils will turn hard when cool/cold and need warmed up if you want to use them---so many essential oils are diluted with a carrier oil such as olive oil or other very thin essential oils. It is never nice to pick up a bottle of essential oils to see it is rock hard.
The rarest and the ones I would never ever want to be out are the ones I want a lifetime supply of….and having more is never a bad thing as long as you protect so the glass never breaks. A gallon of any essential oil cost enough $$ that it would make your day sad to find a jug broken.
We breath in 95% of the essential oils we use because we use the oils in water as we sleep and the water machine blends the oils into the air….I have never tried the really potent essential oils for this method. I call the air oils AIR FRESHEN FORMULA and I like the option of adding garlic to that formula. Otherwise I have never edified the original blend, of which I am out of and have to start all over with making for about the third time.
If I could have only 1 essential oil, it has to be oregano oil, steam distilled only. Mountain Raised plants, in its pure form.
I always try to keep 5x lifetime supply of it.
I like tinctures and essential oils for 1 great reason, if they are made well, they should last well over 100 years, so that means no waste……people can find the boxes 100 years later and still use it.
I never say an herb is a medicine, because they really are just plants, aka foods. The word medicine became a bad word when doctors went from herbs, to using inorganic compounds / poisons and trained people to not believe in herbs anymore.
As far as the subject of human health goes, herbal tinctures and herbal steam distilled essential oils are life changing when life is in danger…the cool thing is that when made correctly, the 2 can be blended and you ay have to shake just before using, but otherwise they should combine. Most well made essential oils will dissolve into 95% grain alcohol and partially into herb tinctures that are normally 40% grain alcohol based.
In my theory…..herbal use can be used externally in the air and on the skin and never be put in the mouth and probably do 90% of what herbs can do……..and will have different influences than when consumed by mouth and can enter into the brain in just seconds or through the skin and expelled in just minutes…
If you know your OK with the essential oil, just rubbing some on both hands and then breathing the fumes works wonders, but also will scare off all those around you for some distance.
One method of using the most potent essential oil as a super de-wormer was to out a few drops in your hand and shake the hand of the person your treating….
years ago in the wall street journal someone wrote they believed they could cure cancers that method---which I do not believe, because cancers is more of a disease caused by habits and poisons over a long period of time.
The safest way to experiment is to use olive oil and ad 1 drop of your essential oil and then use that as a skin cream….each time you refill, put in more drops of the essential oil until you feel 100% safe with it.
You never hear of humans dying from the use of herbs---for the simple fact no one would want to make anything like that---so commercially it is not going to exist…while most states in America have 100+ people every day die from prescription drug use……….and yet, people are made scared of herbs---go figure.
