Insulin and Hereditary conditions?
I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this. Please don't get off track with this as it will be tempting. I'm just looking for some help. Thanks.
My body reacts in a way that is best described as Reactive Hypoglycemia without massive drops in blood Sugar
but there is obviously some. I've suffered from concentration difficulties, weight gain, and difficulty in losing weight my whole life...There's no sigh of diabetes and there shouldn't be either... But read further....
Basically I seem to be letting out too much insulin when I eat. My medical tests suggest that my resting insulin level is just over the upper range. I'm a 42 year old male.
This has caused some pretty serious hormone imbalances as well as some serious drops in my sex hormones. Testosterone, Oestrodiol, and Progesterone are all very low but within range. I've grown breasts purely from fat on my chest and it's impossible to lose weight unless.... I'll explain below.
Here's the thing.. I have exercised my whole life and eat healthy and so did my father who also went this way. Neither of us drank alcohol or smoked. He had exactly the same symptoms for the last 40 years of his life and it was bewildering. My 70 year old mother eats more and more frequently now than he ever did.
I have put it down to excessive quantities of insulin, especially when I eat (as was the case with my father) and I'm wondering why us??? (I know I'm jumping there but please let's not get off track).
----How I can lose weight!----
If I eat within a shorter time frame and don't over-eat in one sitting and get enough calories, I can lose weight.. But that's the only way and it's taken me 25 years to solve this. It's amazing and very empowering.
There must be a condition out there which describes this problem my father and I have or at least explains this. Would anyone know what that is? Is there a condition or a name for this? It would be something inheritable.
