Instead of trying to use specific electric signals to damage/kill harmfull organisms, why not try to use specific electric signals to stimulate the cells of the immune system ? (like George Lakhovsky proposed)
Since a zapper usually use electric waves and a direct contact method with wet electrodes, this should require less intensity than having to use electromagnetic fields/waves and 2 big coils.
