I know your question about the headstand was posted in 2007, but just wanted to say I have recently experienced the same thing. I have a feet-up stool which takes all the weight on my shoulders and lets my head and neck hang freely. I used it a lot last summer with no adverse effects, but got it out again about 6 weeks ago and like you I had burst blood vessels like red pin pricks /freckles all around my forehead and the sides of my face and some around my eyes. I am otherwise fit, in my 40s. The rash faded in a week and I wasn't sure it was the head stand that caused it. But I used the stool again yesterday and the same thing happened. Very frustrating as I like to use the stool to free up my neck. Did you, or anyone else, find out the cause or cure for this strange phenomenon? ( I don't have high blood pressure or dark circles around my eyes though I did get an optical migraine 6 months ago following the NHS replacing my contraceptive pill with a cheaper version which I stopped taking).
Exercises for sciatica during yoga practice heavily involve the spine and aim to develop space between the vertebrae. Sedentary lifestyles, gravity, genetics, and age all contribute to spinal issues and compression, and yoga helps us extend the spine (and many other areas of the body) through moving, twisting, and flexing (4).
Yoga moves help the vertebral discs and increases strength and agility to the muscles, tendons, and ligaments which all support the vertebral column. Practicing yoga regularly, twice a week even at 30 minutes, can greatly improve sciatic issues by making the muscles and spine more limber and less stressed.
Many factors contribute to sciatica, and though you may not be able to change your job to one that involves less sitting or change the fact that you are aging, you can control your weight and activity level. Incorporate yoga for sciatica relief into your weekly activity schedule and you will surely notice benefits.
I have been going through interesting struggles for around 10 months now!
It's along story, would like to convey it in short, well i was losing considerable weight for quite some time, i read about water fasting and it's benefits, i researched and asked at curezone about the fasting, and went ahead for 10 days fast after doing short fasts for a while.
It was nice and good experience, i continued to work in the office all this while, i lost most of the fat, people around me were really worried but i was convinced of what i have read and about my new diet that i started, which was plant based, initially raw and then later to cooked etc, well i had my emotional detox in a way talking to them about it (some of you might know the pain.)
but story took a turn, i started getting cravings after 2 weeks of fast, these were cravings for nuts etc, i thought it would resolve after some time, but then slowly it turned to cravings of the food, i had to eat a lot of food but still i wouldn't feel satiated, i thought and really struggled with it all these months thinking that it is psychological and emotional problem, well all physical problems have sources in the emotional, but they do have physical manifestation to be dealt with physically, and as i matured into struggles with it, i realized it is really a physical manifestation (my psychological/spiritual attitudes apart we never know when we would have a sustained radical change, but this needs to be dealt with physically right now), meanwhile i checked with doctors, they ordered random tests without much explanation or substance, some of them i pursued and found things to be normal, others i didn't pursue, like ct scan of chest etc. etc.
i thought that this is it, and i have removed gluten from my food list, i do take some dairy, as in tea with some milk (believe me i left it long ago, but these cravings have their way with me now), it has been two weeks now, and today i sort of felt pain in upper right back behind abdomen, so it felt like a gallbladder attackor flank pain after eating some butter with meal today, i think these stones have developed because of high fat (i was taking ample butter in my diet) which i opted to in hope to resolve these cravings when i wasn't aware of it maybe being a celiac etc., i have opted fat also out now (would only take some coconut oil empty stomach to help with bowel movements and would like to do liver flush, but before that i think i should come back to normal eating habits.)
i have been feeling little better but i guess it will take some time before i come back to normal hunger.
I am eating lots of bananas now almost 25-30 in a day, that helps with stomach cleaning and stops me from taking other things in excess.
Now also i don't know whether it is gluten for sure, but it definitely seems to be, i will get tests done when i go back to city where i used to live after 15 days, i am in the mountains now :) and would be here for few months, would just go to city to sort out these things and to visit the family.
but definitely it's malabsorption , in which case body is not getting enough and asking for more, which also seems to be related to my weight loss which was problem to begin with, and after that i have been on variable weight, and since going off gluten, it has been stable more or less at 110 pounds, i am 170 cm tall.
Please let me know if you have some tips to deal with all this, i can really use some good advice from those who have faced similar if not the same problem.
Also, today interestingly i started having pain in my wrist where i had a fracture in November 2013, and the surgery was done in December 2013 to put a very small plate and screws at the fracture, i had a sharp pain today, i know celiac also interferes with bones, so i don't know, maybe i should get the plate and screws removed maybe?
other things you should know, i have always felt fatigue in general or low energy, in last few years it worsened because of a stressful incidents in life, but now i am in a better place in relation to life, i have chronic bronchitis, so i do have coughs in the cold weather except for this year, it was quite less but sore throat could come at any time, which gets better with warm drinks, was also diagnosed with fibromyalgia, so autoimmune seems to be the theme here.
