My Mom started oil pulling with sunflower seed oil severel weeks ago because her stomach was bothering her. She immediately started feeling better and has continued to oil pull daily. Last week a woman came up to her and said "you have pretty blue eyes". Mother said thank you and when she got home she looked in the mirror... blue eyes that have always been greenish-blue. She even had a shirt on that had green in it and her eyes were still blue.
It is so much fun to get better using such a pleasant method.
Wow, that is so cool. I don't know much about iridology but I did find this:
Green indicates: The health of the myelin sheathing, which in this case, is adequate. But, since the autonomic nerve wreath (that which is highlighted in green) is so close to the pupil, this indicates that the person's colon contains insufficient fiber to keep the colon the circumference needed to maintain its health.
So, don't you think that it's interesting that your Mom had a green tint AND indigestion, and when the digestion issues started to go away, so did the green?
Hmmmm, sounds like some colon cleansing might be in order. I like Oxypowder myself. You can have a gentle or intense colon cleansing on it, and it is not habit forming. It is magnesium based, and literally melts fecal matter out of the small intestine. You can't even get up that far with a colonic. My best friend is an OB/GYN, and after turning her onto Oxypowder , she not tells her patients about it. Before Oxypowder, by friend was the queen of constipation.
Did you find anything out about brown eyes when you were looking? I have brown/gold eyes and have had that color for as long as I can remember (I'm now 38). I don't believe the color has changed at all, even though I've had/have health problems and have done colon cleanses, etc.
Also, regarding Oxypowder , I tried that, and it worked great! But after a week or two, I started feeling "off". Kind of anxious, kind of...I don't know how to describe it, but just feeling like something wasn't right. Did you have any types of "off" feelings while taking it? Could have been die-off, or detox, but this was a few years ago, and I just decided to stop using it. A day or two after stopping, I felt fine again. I was just wondering if it was detox or if I was getting deficient in some mineral that I needed. Any thoughts? I have no problem trying it again, but would feel better knowing it was detox, or knowing to supplement with something if that's what was needed. Oh, I did Colonix (Dr. Natura) last summer and it was awesome! I felt so much better and lighter afterward. Unfortunately, I don't have the $$ to do that again just yet.
You could have been deficient in magnesium, since that is bascially what Oxypowder is. But I don't know about the "off" feeling. Perhaps it was also the dramatic cleansing of your colon. Sometimes cleansing can cause all sorts of depression. Probably lots of things are being stirred up.
I also did the Dr. Natura. I could not handle the fiber, so after 30 days stopped the program. My husband did the entire 90 days and loved it. Some women cannot handle fiber very well, and I guess I'm one of them. But the cool thing about Oxypowder is not it also takes stuff out of your small intestine.
I love Humaworm, and I think his stuff has great integrity. It's only a 30 days program. I bet you could do that and also do some sort of fiber thing too since your body responds well to it.
This is the place I found the information about the green eyes...darn, I should have posted the link but sometimes in my haste I forget.
Thanks for the link! I think I will try Oxypowder again now, now that I'm more secure in the art of "healing myself". I understand the detox so much better now, that maybe I won't feel anxious when I start feeling "off". Or, at least recognize it for what it is. And since I've added more to my protocol (OP, Iodine, etc) maybe I won't even feel that "off" feeling that I felt before. Geez....now I feel like I sound like a Dr. Suess book - except I'm not rhyming...lol.
I have been using Oxypowder on and off. I find that it is very strong. I know some people can take up to 8 or 10 tablets, but I find that only 2 is enough to get a result. After a few days I can get to feeling tired and kind of weak. So at the moment I am taking only 1 tablet each night to try and get a more gentle result.
i also felt really "off" when taking Oxypowder , but only after a few days. i started getting strange cramping, and, well, i guess "off" is the best way to put it, because i just didnt feel right.
it probably works in different ways for different people.
I do think that it is interesting about the connection between my Mom's stomach trouble and the change in her eye color. I passed on the information about using the Oxypowder . Thank you. I'm sending her some tomorrow.
I was also thinking that maybe the oil pulling removed yellow toxins that were in her eyes. Remembering that yellow and blue make green. Take away the yellow and there's the blue.
My Mom is visiting with her sister right now. Her sister also made a comment about her eyes being blue. I think that it is really neat that people (strangers and family) are noticing and commenting on her eye color. She is telling them about oil pulling. What a great adversitment.
By the way, I got up enough nerve to pull with castor oil. It was suprisingly easy. Even though I consider it a strong flavored oil, I could hardly taste it. The thickness went away within seconds. My teeth now feel like they have been polished. Castor oil is now added to my growing lists of favorite oils to pull with.
Thank you for your kind support. I am glad be a part of this forum and having the opportunity to get to know you.
