I know this is the Liver Flush Forum and I am doing the Liver Flush program. What I want to know is If my liver congestion and Gallstones could be the cause of my migraines. I get migraines with my monthly cycle and lately have been getting them during ovulation as well. I tried all sorts of natural cures but alway have to resort back to the maxalt. I dont want to cause I am trying to cure my liver and I'm sure the medication isnt helping anything. I heard someone say the progesterin cream would help because the migraines are hormones plunging and rising with my cycle. The Dr. said that the pill would help by regulating the hormones, but I cant take it because I have high blood pressure, I am 39 years old and my mom had Breast Cancer (I'm high risk). I have only completed one flush so far and it wasnt a good one, I am waiting to do it again. Please, has anyone got any advise for me.
thanks for your response. I am taking Julias herbs, coptis, curcuma and gcg and chinease bitters alternatly. I felt ok with my g/b for a few days after my first flush even though I didnt see any stones. Is it possible not to see them? anyhow, my gb pain is very intense lately. I'm thinking there new stones moving forward and I will flush again. Is three weeks to soon for the new stones to break up?
The progesterone cream will actually trigger a migraine for me. I have tried the natural prog. with the same results. I had to go on Neurontin about 10 years ago for migraine prevention. I had them daily but as I have gotten older I have been able to reduce my dosage of Neurontin. Sometimes the Epsom Salts will cause a migraine but I still do the liver gb cleanse regularly since I can't seem to get rid of my stones. Wish I could help more. Controlling diet and environmental factors helps me more than anything. LOL!
hi, thanks for responding. How long have you been flushing for? Have you passed any stones? Have your migraines decreases since you have been flushing? Im just trying to figure this thing out.
Sounds like my story. I still get the hormonal variety, and I also know what you mean about getting them with ovulation, but they are getting progressively less intense and less frequent since I started flushing a year ago. I took a break for about six months over the winter, but then did a few more starting this spring (doing another one tonight). After my last one, where I really got out some big ones, I only had one major headache with my period, which still wasn't as sickeningly intense as they usually have been, compared to the nearly week-long stretch that's typical for me. I used to take a lot of Vicodin for the headaches, but stopped that over five years ago, and I'm still trying to recover the damage that did to my health. The pharmaceuticals will ultimately make things worse, since they are hard on the liver. I can feel a direct connection between my GB, ovary, and menstrual headaches - literally like the headache is in my right ovary (which is enlarged & probably due to endometriosis), the liver/GB, and then runs up to my head. Maybe the meridian is inflamed, I don't know, but it's very interesting to feel that connection, since it gives me a better sense of how to approach it. I would say keep working on cleansing, particularly the bowel, liver & lymph, skin brushing, rebounding on a trampoline, exercise, sweating, drink lots of pure water, eat from nature, no processed foods, etc. & see if that helps. I'm also working on candida & parasites, which I think are also big players in this situation. Good luck!
hi anja, your the first person who has gotten migraines during ovolation as well. I had never heard that before and felt pretty wierd about it. Thanks for responding. How many flushes would you say you have done before the migraines starting letting up, and do you do gb/liver and or colen flushes? and what method do you use? I like to read what everybody is doing and try to figure out what will work for me. I tell you there are days when I just want them to cut this thing out of me, but I know...It would just be trading the problems I have now for new ones...but aaaarg! between migraines and gb, its getting to me.
I also got migraines with my cycle for many years. I believe the congestion in the liver/gallbladder is directly responsible for them. The rise in hormones triggers them when your liver is congested. Candida and parasites cause liver congestion because of the toxins that they give off. Mercury and other heavy metals cause candida to proliferate. Parasites usually enter the picture, but I haven't found the exact reason for that yet. Anyway, my migraines became a lot less frequent when I started using Julia Chang's liver/gallbladder tinctures. I tried Liver Flushes also, but they usually just made me sick and weak, but I am able to handle coffee enemas. As a matter of fact, when I have a migraine, I do coffee enemas until they go away. The migraine usually goes away by the time I am done. So if you can try to stop congesting your liver with harmful foods, chemicals, and some estrogenic herbs, try to decongest it with herbal tinctures and whatever else you feel up to or find helpful in that area, and also work on your body pH and clearing out heavy metals and candida, I believe it will help you feel better and have fewer migraines. At least that is what I have found. Migraines are one of the worst things to have, aren't they. Sometimes you just feel like you're going to die.
Good luck and God Bless,
PS: I have been looking at a website that has stuff for detoxing the liver and colon and for taking care of parasites. My friend that told me about it has found that everything that she is using from there does what the website says it does, and she is very happy with it. I ordered some of the stuff, but I haven't received it yet. The website is www.healthline.cc.
thanks for understanding and all the great info. I am taking julia changs herbs and it hasnt helped my migraines yet, about how long should I continue to take them before I know if they are working for me? I think I will try the coffee enema and see if that helps,,,it cant hurt. I'm going to look into candida. I've hears several people talking about it, but I dont know what it is.
thanks for the link, I'll go check that out now..thanks again
