When I first upped my Lugol's and took IP6 a giant zit erupted right in the middle of my 54 year old forehead. I painted it with Lugol's and it went away the next day. As my body continues to detox the zits are getting smaller and I have more time between eruptions. I think they are an unsightly, but ultimately, good thing.
Make sure all other channels of elimination are open and in good working order, and hopefully, your skin will not take such a beating.
I had some major zits...we used to call them "undergrounders" in high school. But then I got one right above my nose. Angry red one. Someone at work thought I was going Hindu, so at one point I painted it with Lugols and did that for a week. I was looking for some zippy Hindu prayer to say to whomever asked, but it went away pretty fast when I painted it. It had a very strange orangy red color when painted. I did start telling people that my third eye was developing and they left me alone (suburban area - didn't quite get it). I got the sideways look for awhile after that too.
I love to F with people. They are so BLAND.
Did I tell you Kitty that I started my period after 2+ years? I think I'm going backwards.....
Oh great next you'll be telling me your pregnant. LOL
I don't usually get zits but I do along my jaw line and then I know it's time for a Liver Flush which I think I will do here pretty soon. I haven't done one in a really long time.
Mine are not the undergrounds (god I hate those!!), but the mini eruptions that are sort of raw and annoying and leave a nice red mark on your face. they seem to go away pretty fast though. I feel for the folks getting the boil like pimples. I'm not sure I can hang with one of those.
I'll paint what I got tonight when I go to bed and try the salt push too. I suppose I should do that soon so I'm not up peeing all night.
detox is so FUN!
I've been really lethargic the last couple of days and not feeling like doing ANYTHING! I'll try some iron too.
It's really hard to keep up with doing all this stuff everyday even when not working. How do you do it Molly?
I don't, I suck at it. I have my good weeks and bad weeks, and I try to be consistent. It's when you get to the place that every thing has it's time slot that the protocol can flow. It's when I add something new that everything goes south. Now that you posted about Vit C with Iodine, now everything is shot to hell again because I was taking my Iodine WITH Vit C.
I will be daring here, don't jump on me, this works for me but I don't suggest this as the right thing to do.
Since I have been around for 4 years on CZ and by nature lazy (may be I should say loose interest), since a month I went back to coffee (watered down).
First cup with 10+ drops of Lugol + 1tsp sorghum, 2nd 1 tsp minerals with a few drops of oregano (just like the different taste) + stevia or sorghum, 3rd between 5-8000mg C + stevia (this 1 hr away from the 1st one). My husband gets 2 drops Lugol and less C.
When I get up drink water and take 100-200mg of Niacin, love that prickly feeling.
Through the day here and there selenium, now back to the magnesium (had forgotten about it) niacin, vit D on doctor's advice.
If I drink wine I add a few drops of Lugol or at the end of the afternoon take some Iodoral.
I only use salt on food.
In principle the whole day is flexible except for the morning coffee. Sometimes I take more L in the coffee if I am not planning to be around at night.
For some reason it seems weird to put Lugols in your coffee. I'm not much of a coffee drinker anymoer and usually put the Lugols in my acv tea that I "try" to do three times a day but only with Lugols twice.
My zits went way and no new ones. I'm not seeing much effects from the Iodine so I guess that is good? I added another drop this morning so I'm up to 5 long drops, but didn't take the iodoral so I guess it's the same as 3 + 1. I only use a good Sea Salt and use it generously so maybe I get enough Iodine already.
Well, I'm glad I posted that then. I wonder if it's wasting the Iodine if you take it with C? I take my C at night before I go to bed with cal-mag and potassium. I really need to go through all my suppliments and package them so I don't have to go through all the bottles. I have a two tier lazy susan thingy chock full and overflowing. When I moved I got rid of the expired stuff and still have tons of it. A lot I don't even use.
I am determined to use my time off (I may never go back to the corporate life) to my best advantage for my health and well being.
