I read posts saying that receding gumline regrows.
I'd like to ask when it happened to those people who experienced it?
I've been oil pulling for two months, my teeth are stronger maybe even whiter, and not sensitive anymore, mouth feels fresher. Of course, I'm very happy with these results. Maybe I'm a bit impatient. I oil pull 3 times a day for 10-15 mins. I also take vit C .
Truthfully? OP may work for you, and it may not. You have to be patient. This is a food cure.
The reason you should continue, even though you may not experience gum regrowth, is all the posts from people who have avoided gum surgery. That in itself, more than visual changes, should keep you going.
I rub my gums with my fingers to stimulate them. I have added various essential oils as compliments to the swishing oil, like Oil of Oregano and Peppermint, and Tea Tree Oil.
I think we are all individual. I'm bummed that my gums have grown back somewhat, but not all the way. But they do look healthier, pinker, less anemic.
About 4 months in....but the first thing I noticed was how healthy my gums were. Before they looked mottled, and not pink. After the first month of OP I noticed how nice and pink they were. That was what I saw first before the regrowth.
Now, when I say regrowth, I'm not talking all the way back....Some of them have a way to go. I believe it was Grzbear that had regrowth. But he is a very healthy man!!
Just hang in....after awhile you will be addicted and hardly care if you see anything at all. But it's logical that if people's pockets are shrinking, then gums can regenerate.
I would strongly suggest that anyone suffering from receding gums immediately go see an experienced periodontist. I tried oil pulling and several of these other alternative methods. I finally went to see a periodontist. DON'T believe any of the horror stories about gum grafting. It is a common procedure, done in the office under a local antesthesia and it is NOT painful. If you want to hear from other people who were worried about this very common procedure, Google "Gum graft goes fine Relax if you need one"."
