I love Coconut Oil but people with certain health conditions should know all the facts. I was concerned about taking coconut oil because of the stimulate effect, since I have anxiety attacks and high blood pressure.
Am not saying this is true, but I did find my blood pressure rose a little with use of coconut oil.
Found this on the web: If are under treatment for hypertension (high blood pressure), you should use coconut oil sparingly -- and you may want to discuss it with your doctor first.
and Coconut Oil is contraindicated for those with hypertension / high blood pressure! But if you suffer from low blood pressure, this is a great remedy for you.
I've been OPing since the beginning of the year and coconut oil is probably my favorite choice, though I've tried several others with varied results and all of them positive. I was also diagnosed with High Blood Pressure and have found that OPing with coconut oil has not caused my BP to increase - quite the opposite, in fact.
It may be that your reaction is unique to you - each of us has different experiences with regard to OPing and it just might be that your physiology doesn't accept coconut oil very well. Another point about this oil is that it is quite potent as a detoxifier and might exacerbate certain symptoms on a temporary basis. Remember, it's just food and not mixed up in someone's basement!
