Hi everyone, I've been oil pulling for approx. 1 month now after hearing about it on another site. It's great to find this dedicated forum although I sure wish the formatting here was a bit more user-friendly... Anyway, I do OP first thing in the morning when I get up, and would like to do it at least once more per day but my problem is that I cannot go for 3 or 4 hours without food or drink. I have a high metabolism and graze on small snacks or meals throughout the day. After a couple hours without food I'm usually starving! Would there be any benefit at all to OP if I may have food or liquid in my stomach, or should I just stick to doing it in the mornings?
i have pulled at all times under all circumstances. it did not particularly bother me, but i could tell that after eating was not so good.
try pulling twice back-to-back in the morning. in fact, check out the post i am about to make. you may decide to pull a lot more.
btw, your metabolism hasnt got much to do with you being hungry. hunger is not a gnawing in the stomach. that is the damage from acid eating. you could fast on water only for thirty days and live to tell about it. in fact, you probably would be healthier than ever.
One question.....When you say everyone could be a lot healthier if they did 30 day fasts, I do agree. But, when I have fasted, my heart will begin racing after a few days and I get scared thinking I am going to have a heart attack and then I begin eating again. In the future, should I just ride it out and the problem will correct itself? Also, I get dizzy, but I am not worried about that because it stops.
it is more than likely fear and anxiety. the fact that you state a concern the fast may be hurting you means it is time to stop the fast. regroup, cover the basics - hydration, plant minerals and oils, etc - then try again. if you can go a little longer than before, you have made good gains. as your mind accepts that you can do it, your body will not react that way. going in this direction will allow you to fast as long as you want at some point.
i have found that the healthier my diet has become, the easier it is to go without eating. a body used to having meat on a regular basis does not want to fast. also, if you can start a fast on an empty stomach by flushing with salt water or epsoms, it is easier to get going.
it occurs to me also that Sugar regulation may be playing a part in this. i suggest cayenne pepper supplementation when you are not fasting to help the pancreas get in balance. how long has it been since you have dewormed?
