just a question. Why does VCO cause adverse affect in somme ppl like me. I was very excited that it could heal my Candida, but my symptoms became similar to food poisioning.
Here is a website of Coconut Oil Reviews.. http://www.earthclinic.com/Remedies/coconut_oil.html
Down at the bottom, some ppl have given negative reviews. Why does it harm some ppl. What can they do to benefit from it? I used "Garden Of LIfe" Extra VCO from a reputed GNC store.
And was feeling very sick after consuming it..
I've been consuming coconut oil for a few years and never had any problems with it... except once. One time I ate a couple of tablespoons of it all by itself (usually I have it with food), and a few hours later I had diarrhea, felt shakey and nauseous and almost threw up. It was just like food poisoning (but I hadn't eaten anything that could have given me food poisoning).
I use the same brand that you do. It is my experience that some people can handle pure fat better than others. I can't bear to eat the oil by the spoonful, but my mother is perfectly comfortable eating it that way. I prefer to use it for cooking everything, and on occasion I use it in smoothies. I also bake with it, and add it to my veggies during steaming. I have found these alternate ways are better for me, and do not cause me any difficulties.
Many folks have trouble digesting fats. I use an enzyme that is especially for fats - it's bile acids by Jarrow. If you are actually killing yeast, you may be experiencing a die-off herx. In other words, when the bugs die, they expel toxins which can get absorbed in the system and cause all kinds of problems. Two thoughts: first, go slow. Start with a very small amount and build up as you feel can. Second, have you cleaned your detox pathways? The body needs to get the toxins out - that requires colon cleansing, liver cleansing, etc.
If I still experience that sick detox reaction, one very effective thing is an enema bag. Here's some other info:
Sounds like gallstones. I had my gallbladder out and still make gallstone "sludge" in my liver...I perk up my liver with Acetyl L-Carnitine, hot lemon water for breakfast, choline from soy lecithin or poached egg yolk ,and silica from Horsetail Rush tea or capsules. Try a topical-only application to absorb VCO's Candida fighter, Undecylenic Acid, and whack back Candida with Caprylic Acid caps. Good observation. God bless!
I make a shake with fresh frozen pinapple which have lots of digetive enzymes. maybe that helps?
I just read a bunch of other responses and the enzyme thing makes sense.
I use rice milk, frozen pinapple (that I cut up and freeze for the next couple fo days) and some coconut milk and a couple tablespoons of coconut oil. blend. maybe add a bit of Agave.
