I just finished day two of my lemon fast. I was doing the p/b shakes twice a day for about two weeks prior to get
used to them. I am now taking five per day as recommended. I have two questions: Since I am a 200+ male
should I be taking larger shaked (presently taking one heaping T of psyllium and a level T of bentonite). My
second question has to do with probiotics. I was reading some literature from Holistic Horizons about the
"Robert Gray Intestinal Cleeansing Program" and it was suggested in this literature that a cleanse like the one I am
embarking upon will remove the beneficial lactobacteria along with the stagnant waste. He suggests using his product which
combines a bulking agent while multipling the exisiting, implanted lactobacteria. Have you heard of this?
Yes, some people say that taking a good probiotic while bowel cleansing is a good idea....that the good bacteria helps break waste down etc etc. But most people usually start taking an excellent probiotic AFTER they have bowel cleansed. It is usually easier to implant good bacteria in a clean bowel. Who knows...if you take the probiotics while cleansing...you might just be flushing them down the toilet along with your mucoid plaque! hmmmmm....
I think the amount of b&p's you're taking sounds excellent! Do let us know when you get some mucoid plaque out!
I've finished day 3 of my master cleanse. I haven't felt hungry yet and things are going quite well. The salt water in the morning is not the greatest but otherwise all is well. I have been getting some "ropes" but they are all the same color as my regular bowel movements. My most recent BM was liquid and psyllium. Hoping to "drop my liner" soon."
While I don't really like the salt water part of this cleanse (who does?), I feel that if I am going through the effort to do the cleanse then I may as well do it to get the best results. If doing the salt flush every other day is better then I will do that, however, if it is better to do them every day then I can handle it.
Hi Hdueck...Of course you can do the salt water flushes as often as you'd like! But...even every other day isn't giving the b&p's enough time to do their thing. Some people don't do the Salt-Water-Flush at all while doing the b&p's (me) and have a bm every day (which is the important thing...to eliminate toxins etc)....others do the Salt-Water-Flush on the weekend just to clean everything out totally.
I finished day four, my toughest. I went out for the afternoon with my family and ended up staying out until 10:30 pm. I ran out of "food" and hit a wall. I even contemplated quitting. I am realizing how much of my life revolves around food. I didn't do the salt flush this morning and did not have a BM. I will try the salt flush again tomorrow morning.
