I used to have a 1/8 tsp measurement (not exactly 1/10th but pretty close, right?) but it got eaten up by the sink disposal. So now I don't know how to measure 1/10 tsp pepper and I really don't want to have any more than I have to. How does everybody measure the pepper?
I think that if you measure THAT much, you'll regret it!! Just use a good dash of the cayenne....add more as you get used to it. It is nasty enough to make you want to quit the fast, so go easy until you are well on your way!
Good luck to you.
One tenth is a strange amount, isn't it? Like, who has a 1/10th teaspoon measure lying around?? What I did: I used my smallest measure, which was 1/4 of a teaspoon, and I filled it up a little less than full (guessing it was about 1/5th of a teaspoon, and then I halved that. After a time or two you can just eyeball it; you'll sort of know the amount just by looking at it.
I tried using smaller amounts of pepper with my first Master-Cleanse but I still didnít like the taste of it. So I mixed just the syrup, lemon and pepper together... gulped it ... then followed with a LOT of water!! Ewwww that was really gross too but Ďmealsí were over with quickly. And I was able to cleanse for 12 days.
Now Iím on day 3 of second MC. I just bought gel caps for the pepper so I want to try to take the full amount (does it give a better cleanse?) The lemon and syrup mixed with water is really good! It is definitely easier to cleanse without tasting the pepper for me.
Lol, Joanne, I was measuring 1 tsp and trying to divide ten ways (duh!)... sounds a little easier with 1/4 tsp so Iíll try that... Thanks again
1/10 tsp = 1 pinch - just take your thumb and first finger, take "some" and put it in. i am never at all careful with how much i put in, sometimes i put a lot, sometimes a little. don't worry about it.
Hi! I'm new to these boards, but I've done the Master-Cleanse a couple of times, and plan to start it again tomorrow morning.
Normally, I measure out a lemonade concentrate every day. I take 3 nalgene bottles (32 oz), and squeeze enough lemon juice in the morning, using an electric citrus juicer, to fill them each with 6 tablespoons of juice, then I add 6 tablespoons of grade b syrup (though I'm thinking about trying molasses this time around) and, since I'm essentially making 3 glasses in each bottle, I add 1/3 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (it's only 1/30th more than 3/10, hardly noticeable!). Then, I refrigerate 2 of the bottles of concentrate for later (note - it's "fresh" homemade concentrate), take the third, fill it with water and start my day (after the salt water flush of course).
And by the way, I don't think there is such a thing as a "stupid" question. :)
