in reading moreless's posts, I think he has stated over and over again (took me a while to get it; if I did!) that a great deal of action is acidifying; for instance, eating incorrect foods, environmental toxins, stress, exercise (which moves waste through the lymph) etc.
We require the alkalizing minerals to neutralize this acidic waste to keep from an imbalance. In some instances, with enough alkalizing minerals, our bodies may even be able to metabolize some of this waste and re-use it for productive purposes... or am I missing something?
Yes that's a good question. But if one is trying to get rid of candida by getting more alkaline, but also has a very bad detoxoficiation and slow liver, what should one do? MSM is very helpful in detoxofication. Maybe one should not take such large doses of MSM and still follow the alkaline regimen?
Moreless has suggested trying to actively detox (in other words allow yourself to become acidic)in rotation with alkalizing. Week on, week off, etc. However, for me, I just try to keep as alkalized as possible while I am detoxing. I do use small (300mg.) doses of MSM during the day.
