After my tubal the doctor told me he put "metal clamps" clamped to my fallopian tubes.... I suppose this would be the same toxity as silver fillings? I just had 3 silver filling removed and realized I have the clamps in me. Oh man, I feel defeated at getting the toxins out of me!
Could someone tell me if they know about these "metal clamps"? I feel so down because of it. I didnt know about the forum until it was to late.
Contact your doctor - s/he must tell you what the clamps are made of.
The clamps, if metal, are likely made of surgical stainless steel. They certainly do not contain mercury, but they almost certainly contain nickel and chromium - nearly all surgical stainless steel does.
They could be titanium, which is pure or nearly pure titanium, although some people can have allergic reactions to even titanium (any material implanted can cause reactions in certain people).
I went through this concern about stainless steel thread used for an operation. I was concerned about the nickel and chromium content, even though I do not think I am allergic to them.
There is a conflict about what doctors tell you about nickel and chromium in stainless steel. At least 10% of people are allergic to nickel (women are much more likely than men because a lot of them have developed nickel allergies from wearing nickel content jewelry). They make "nickel free" surgical stainless steel for people allergic to nickel. Yet, they will tell you that the nickel and chromium is "locked" into the metal and doesn't escape (sounds like the mercury Amalgam issue huh?). If this is true, that the nickel doesn't escape, why do they bother making "nickel-free" stainless steel for people allergic to it?
I have a lot of info that I can post if you find out exactly what metal was used.
Just talked to the Dr's nurse.. she said he is on vacation and she had no clue what type of metal it is. I told her that is odd that she cant look it up in the chart... or have some sort of idea. I said I would really like to know what is inside of me!!! She said she would call for my chart and get back to me. So until then, I wont be able to tell you. But, please look on this forum for me I really would like to read up and learn about this metal.
You're welcome. In the meantime I wouldn't worry over it. Dental metals like mercury and nickel are a different ballgame.
I would keep a mental note of any changes that occur to your physical or mental health since the surgery, which *could* be caused by an allergic reation to whatever they put in you. Again, chances are you won't be allergic. And anything put in the human body can cause allergic reactions in certain people. If you do suspect a problem in the future and really need peace of mind you could have a test done to see if your body reacts to the metal.
This took soooo long to get back! Med records stated they lost my entire file, then called back and said they found them..
ANYWAy..... the name of the clips are called Hulka. I found a blurp on the internet it states: The Hulka Clip has been marketed by Richard Wolf since 1975.
Hulka Clips - are essentially inert - made from a clear Lexan resin with a 24K gold-plated titanium spring.
The Hulka Clip has many years of documented success stories.
so, can u tell me if this is safe material? What is Lexan? and Titanium is that ok? All you knowledge would be wonderful!
