Ever since getting the go ahead from my chiropractor, and reading Andreas Moritz ' book The Amazing Liver Cleanse, all my fear about doing this has vanished and I am just feeling EXCITED to start my new liver flushing lifestyle next weekend!
Right now I am just gearing up for the process, making sure everything is in line.
I just went out and bought some organic extra virgin (Whole Foods brand) olive oil and realized now that it doesn't actually say cold pressed anywhere on the bottle.
Damn, I was meaning to get that kind but got too caught up in making sure it was ORGANIC.
Also, I bought a supplement of Malic Acid and am curious if anyone know how much of it to take. I talked to Julie (is that her name?) from Prime Health, and she said to take 1500 mg. a day , and then I heard her say something about 7 x a day, but wasn't sure if she meant to split up the 1500 dosage into 7 or to actually take 1500 7 x a day.
Julie's a sweetheart, but sometimes it's a little tricky to understand her thick accent over the phone!!! :)
Olive-Oil called "Virgin" or " Extra-Virgin " should be "cold pressed", because that is the definition of "Virgin" olive oils.
Virgin olive oil is "slow", "expeller pressed", "low heat pressure system", filtrated juice from fresh olives.
"Virgin" label may sometimes be used by "bad people" to increase the price of usual "non-virgin" (high heat expeller press + filtration + refination) olive oil, just like "organic" label may be used to increase the price of "non-organic" products.

This ban does not cover oil brands called " Extra-Virgin e Olive Oil", " Virgine Olive Oil " or "Cold Pressed Olive Oil", "Organic Virgine Olive Oil " or any other combination of words "Organic" ,"Virgin", "Olive Oil", "Extra Virgine".

I take four 500 mg tablets of malic acid with two cups warm water the first thing in the morning. I do this for one to five days before I do my flush. ( I am having good results flushing those old stones away ! ) Happy flushing !
Just read your message. Are you taking Malic Acid instead of Apple Juice. I am insulin resistant and can't take the apple juice so the only thing I am taking before the cleanse is ortho- phos to help soften the stones. Maybe I could also do the Malic Acid.
I did the 1/2 cup olive oil, 1 lemon and 1 coke last week and only had a good bowel movement about 2 hours later. A clinic I know told me about this one and they said that 1/2 cup oil is more or less a mimi cleanse, it really should be 1 cup...
Last night I did the 1/2 cup olive oil, 1/2 cup lemon, grapefruit juice (but not freshly squeezed - could have been part of the problem) Epsom Salts . Had a good bowel movement this AM, but didn't see stones. I will try it for the 3rd time and use fresh grapefruit juice.
I really feel that if I could keep my liver clean, it would help my Sugar problem because I would be healthier with a clean liver. It would also help my hormones fluctuations because the hormones are dealt with BIG TIME in the liver...
I ONLY take the malic acid. The reason people take apple juice is for the malic acid content. I do NOT feel that consuming that much apple juice is good for anyone. I certainly can NOT handle it. The malic acid caps have worked fine for me.
