I know about BlackStrapMolasses having a lot of alkaline minerals and generally being alkalizing, but if the Sugar is feeding the candida, then more candida will reproduce and thus give off more acidic wastes, making it even worse. So it seems it's like a matter of alkaline minerals versus acidic wastes and it takes more alkaline parts to counter any acids. Any clarifications?
Pure Blackstrap Molasses has a much greater ratio of Alkaline Minerals than it has of sugar, so it is needed by the body to help rebuild the body of a shortage of Alkaline Minerals!
The problem with Candida is that the body is way too Acidic and in order to correct this, one must find some way to provide the body the Alkaline Minerals it needs to rebuild it's self!
Pure Blackstrap Molasses and a good quality of seaweed Kelp are two of the foods which are Highest in Alkaline Minerals which the body needs to start the process of recovery!
Also the body must have plenty of extra Calcium, which it is very much short of when the body is too Acidic!
This is why I suggest the Lime water!
If you would care to read a post by evanluck, who seems to have been getting some very good results from recovery from candida: Posted on 3/24/2006 at 5:39:00 PM on Candida Forum page #228, it may help you?
Always wanting to find out for myself, I started on the blackstrap molasses with kelp. I was already on the alkalizing regime with my food and supplements and things were getting better. I was already taking kelp. Two days after taking 2 tblsp per day of BSM and kelp I developed a candida symptom which I had been pretty free of for the past 6 weeks - a fungal condition between my toes. So in my case I think the Sugar outweighed the alkaline minerals. Evanluck seems to have had a different experience. Like with many foods we all react differently. Experiment at your own peril. For me I would rather try things and find out for sure but there are other candida safe options that pose no risk.
I took either the kelp and molasses which I just mixed up and ate with a spoon or lemon juice and molasses mixed in a glass of water. Was I meant to take all three together?
Also my molasses, which lists the only ingredient as 'certified organic blackstrap molasses', tastes pretty sweet to me. It is the only BSM I could find here. I was hoping to find one that stated PURE BSM. Could this be a mixture of blackstrap and regular molasses or would that be stated on the label?
If you say take all 3 together and I can find pure BSM I may be willing to give it another go.
You need to use the Lemon juice and or ACV and or Epsom Salt with the Blackstrap Molasses and Kelp!
The Lemon juice with the Blackstrap Molasses may provide the best action between the two, for the Lemon juice may utilize the Sugar carbons which are in the Blackstrap Molasses and use this energy up in it's reaction!
It is all about how the energy is made and made use of then, this is some of what the Acid Alkaline pH Balancing is all about!
If any sugars are not used with enough Alkaline Minerals and used within the reaction of energy creation, then they may be free to feed other actions such as create more acids which is what candida needs to have to live in!
Some times it may be a tricky process of getting the Alkaline Minerals up high enough and available enough for the body to overcome the candida problem, depending on how bad off a person is in the first place, but the excess acids must be Neutralized before recovery may take place! This is some of the reason for taking some extra calciums in some form like the Lime water to help supply the extra Calcium and also help neutralized the excess acids in the body!
Now this last comment may sound strange when talking about taking the Lemon juice which is of it's self Acidic, but when the Lemon juice is used with enough Alkaline Minerals such as are in the Blackstrap Molasses, the reaction which may take place then between the citric acid and the Alkaline Minerals may provide for the Electrical Energy Release which is of an Alkaline Nature and not of an Acid Nature!
So not all is as it may seem at first!
The bottom line with candida is that one must get the levels of Alkaline Minerals increased in the body and reacted against some other charges so as to raise the bodys pH , so the body is no longer Acidic in Nature!
This means that the Natural sugars need to be utilized in the proper manner to accomplish this!
Hi Moreless,I'm new to this forum having just posted above for the first time, hopefully you might have a look at it and make some recommendations.
But I'm a little confused about your comments about candida's preference for acid environment. "create more acids which is what candida needs to have to live in!"
I thought that I read somewhere that low acid production in the stomach often contributes to candida and bacteria flourishing whereas good stomach acid production has a sterilising effect, apart from stimulating enzyme production.
