After 3 1/2 months of dealing with the Hellish die-off and starvation due to the Candida diet, I believe I am 99% cured or completely Candida-free! I had been feeling great the past week, no signs of fatigue or "brain fog" or similiar symptoms at all.. so I decided to give myself a try at some "naughty food." (I had not cheated ONCE on the diet since the time I began treating myself)
The naughty food was something that could also be beneficial if I weren't completely cured. So I gave it a shot, and ate a whole tub full of regular store-bought Dannon yogurt. (12 G of Sugar per cup!) I ate about 3 cups = 36 g of sugar. I expected to get really tired and dizzy afterwards, but no.. nothing! I thought maybe I was just experiencing a Sugar high or something, but nope.. this morning I woke up, kind of expecting to feel like crap.. and I was in the same type of mood I had been the past couple of days! Everything felt normal.
I came home and ate some more of the same type of yogurt, and it's been 6 hours since I ate it and nothing. I noticed a significant amount of difference with my Candida when I added Bovine Colostrum and L-Glutamine to my list of supplements & went on an Alkaline diet for 3 weeks, with a few liver flushes.
No more brain fog. No more tired feeling in chest. No more inability to socialize and be funny. I'm just so happy.
(Note: I began treating Candida after only 8 months of having it, so I think that's why I may have had the speedy recovery)
Hi I'm really happy for you that you got rid of this. Can I ask you a question, did you eat fruit on ur high alkaline diet? I want to do this diet too, could you please explain the kind of stuff you ate, cheers. Also how much L-Glutamine were you taking. I have heard others talk abou this before. Please reply.
Thanks so much! Yes, I did eat fruit on my alkaline diet.. but only granny smith apples (about 75% of the fruit I ate) with occasional pineapple, melons, and berries. I took alot of super green supplements and Chlorella EVERYTIME I ate something. I also snacked on almonds and ate alot of raw spinach with sun-dried tomatoes & avocado. I didn't really measure the amount of L-Glutamine I took, I just took 500 mg about 6 times throughout the day when I had an empty stomach. Same with Colostrum.
Fantastic! I remember your first post on this forum and it's so great to hear the difference. How wonderful that someone has beaten it!
I probably don't need to tell you, but do take it easy on the bad stuff for a while yet. I have heard that it is a good idea to introduce things one at a time, starting with the best of the no-no's like fruit, potatoes, milk [if you havn't been eating these things], SLOWLY working up to the really bad stuff like chocolate and beer. It's been 31/2 months, another month isn't going to kill you.
I wish you all the best and hope you never need to return here again. Of course it would be nice to hear your doing well every now and then.
This is the regimen I followed. I don't know if I should post it because some people are very well-educated on this stuff and I know I've probably made a few mistakes, but here it goes anyway. This is what healed me!
(Before getting started, I must say.. TAKE ALL OF YOUR VITAMINS! They are essential! Especially B Vitamins, take twice the amount you normally would. It is extremely beneficial in mood and energy loss due to Candida.)
Begin by adjusting your diet to an alkaline-sided one. THIS IS IMPORTANT! Candida can't survive in a alkalined enviroment. (MSM is a good supplement to take helping with alkalinism)
Here is a great chart that shows the alkaline/acid formations of most foods.
Eat only the foods on the alkaline side, you can include the fruits if you aren't sensitive to them. (I wasn't) Be sure to keep in mind the Candida-diet guidelines though! Don't go overboard. Granny Smith Apples are the best fruit to gorge yourself in, they contain little sugar. This is where the Green Foods enzymes come in! Take them with EVERYTHING you eat. It will help break down the food easier and destroy the walls of Candida cells. Chlorella has the same benefits, but I prefer taking that only twice a day. Chlorella helps flourish the healthy bacteria in probiotics in your system up to 4x!!
At the same time, you can begin killing the yeast with the above antifungals, using 2 at a time for a week, then alternating to 2 different ones. Do not let the yeast become immune to them! ( and Grapefruit Seed Extract are the strongest and most effective) I usually take the antifungals before I go to bed, to avoid extreme die-off during the day. You will experience die-off, but don't let it get you down. There are two ways to get rid of it. It all depends on how much time you have.
- For a fast fix from the die-off symptoms, try alka-seltzer or a tablespoon of baking soda mixed with a glass of water. You should feel sligh relief in less than an hour.
- For a beneficial to your health fix from the die-off symptoms, do a one-day Epsom Salt cleanse. 2 cups of water/grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed!) with 2 tablespoons of Epsom Salt. Take 1/2 cup every hour. You will cleanse out your liver and bowels, which contains all the toxins from the antifungals (die-off causers!)
During this time, it is also beneficial to take a tablespoon of Bentonite Clay + Psyllium Husk up to 4 times a day. The Bentonite literally soaks up the bacteria and infection in your body, and the Psyllium Husk scrubs the walls of your intestines at the same time, HIGHLY BENEFICIAL!
The antioxidants are basically to cancel out the toxins being released from the Candida overgrowth, they also help kill Candida and heal the gut.
PROBIOTICS + HEALING
After 2 months (or less, depending on your condition) of antifungals and BP + P.. begin taking Probiotics. (I recommend PRIMAL DEFENSE and/or Threelac) Home-made yogurt, kefir, or saurkraut are highly recommended. I also take Stabilized Oxygen Molecules with my probiotics, as it gives the probiotics more room to spread, because the oxygen opens passages that are normally not reachable. It also cleans the blood of any infection or toxic metals! (as does Chlorella)
ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PARTS OF RECOVERY: Begin taking the Colostrum and L-Glutamine (they both heal the gut, which were penetrated by the Candidas, causing Leaky Gut Syndrome, which is the cause of food allergies.) You can also take Shark Liver Oil, but it's not necessary, although helpful in the healing of the gut.
Magnesium deficiency is common for Candidians, causing that "Foggy" and depressed feeling. Take some! You'll feel relief in a few days. (I felt it with the Epsom Salt flush)
After a month of treating yourself with probiotics and the gut-healers, and if you feel up to it.. venture out with the food. Try some potatoes or dairy products and see how you react. See how you handle the food you use to be sensitive to. START SLOWLY THOUGH! Don't come off the treatment with your first food being pizza or Taco Bell, as tempting as it may be! Slowly incorporate the sensitive foods in. This is where the Biotin comes in, be sure to take atleast 1,000 mcg of Biotin before trying the foods, so just incase you ARE sensitive to the foods still, Biotin will inhibit the growth of the Candida even further.
That's terrific news! Congrats. Just be careful not to go crazy on treats. It can creep back on you and with no small warnings or anything you can wake up with symptoms.
But I was kind of laughing. I thought you were going to say you ate a whole tub of gourmet choc chip cookies. lol Yogurt? Yeah, I remember pigging out on sunflower seeds, thinking I'd been so bad. When we get out of the straight jacket, all hell breaks loose.
Does anyone eles have a problem with nail fungus? That is what led me to this forum. I believe I've had candida for over 15yrs. I've had nail fungus for about 7 yrs. 3yrs ago I took Lamisil, worked great!† It's baaack! I'm treading it and doing the candida diet for the last 3 weeks.†It's isn't getting any worse. Any suggestions? Is this a commen problem, haven't seen much about it here. Also, I'm doing the PB shake. Can I drink this with my suppelments or should I separate them?††† riverrat
I get grumbling when I am a. killing candida (via good internal anti fungal etc) or I have had lots of probiotics and therefore turned my stomach/intestines into a battlefield.
I would predict that your news is good :)
First I'd like to say congrats!!! Wish I was where you are now!!! Still maybe in 4/5 months.
You mention Bovine colostrum. Is that the same as colosan in that it flushes out old fecal matter on your linings from COLON down?? Saw sometime somewhere saying Bovine colostrum has some kinda dairy in it but not sure... Haven't got any colosan yet but keen to for the above reasons. I'd really apreciate your input!!
You also mentioned L-Glutamine! How much is recommended for candida & should it be taken with or without meals??
I wasn't aware that Colostrum cleaned out the lining of the stomach, but I do know it has Growth Factors in it which help repair damaged lining, etc. It also promotes healthy flora and immune system fighters.
Also, I take about 1000 MG throughout the day of L-Glutamine. Don't really keep track, since it doesn't harm you to take alot.
been a bit of a misunderstanding. Since asking you about bovine colostrum I found some sites that sell it. In my original question to you I was getting myself confused with another product called colosan (not bovine COLOSTRUM). Andreas Moritz expertly explains colosan & what it does in the following link:-
As explained in the link above, ill be using colosan to break-up old fecal matter & return my GI tract to a nice pink color!!!
I found the following info about what you were talking about,ie Bovine colostrum!
Here's the info:-
Colostrum has the following properties:
Also known as first milk, colostrum is the fluid produced by the mammary glands of cows (and other mammals) in the first one to two days after calving. It has a very different composition from milk produced during mid-lactation. The most notable difference is the much higher concentration of proteins with antibody activity (immunoglobulins).
These are present to allow the transfer of passive immunity from the cow to its calf, protecting the calf from disease, pollutants and allergens. Just as human breast milk protects babies, cow colostrum helps calves stay healthy during the first crucial days of their lives.
* Colostrum can enhance immunity to a wide range of bacteria, toxins, viruses and parasites.
* Pure colostrum contains a high concentration of immunoglobulins made up of antibodies that confer passive immunity against diseases and allergens.
* It is used for the treatment of common ailments like leaky gut and irritable bowel syndromes (IBS).
* Colostrum can alleviate problems like food allergies, diarrhea and poor digestion by boosting the immune system and acting as an anti-inflammatory and repairing the intestinal membranes.
* Colostrum also helps to metabolise fat and increase lean muscle growth, energy levels and stamina.
* Colostrum is widely used by athletes as a safe, natural fitness booster and to aid recovery time.
In other words, Bovine Colostrum is fantastic!!
I live in the UK & have found websites I can buy it from. It comes in capsule form & at about 450mg per cap!
My question to you is how much did you take per day & was it with meals or between meals??
Also, have you used colosan to cleanse your colon of impacted rubbish?
I think another thing that helped heal me so quickly was that I never resented the treatment. If I experienced horrendous die-off, I still didn't let up.. and I just kept kicking the shit out of that Candida day in and day out. No break. Just non-stop ass-kicking! I think that may have helped as well.
you sound just like the type of person I am! A stubborn son of a bi*** (laugh)!! Dont now about you but everyone around me thinks im totally nuts where this approach is concerned. Plus, the major symptoms of candida (fatique & depression) make self-motivation a real bi***!!
The following is a breakdown of the supplements I'm currently using. Your comments (& anyone elses) would be most welcome:-
Vitamin C 1000mg (Ascorbic Acid) time released.
Mycopryl 680 (Caprylic acid/calcium/magnesium)
Chlorella (20to30 per day half hour before meals)
Barley & Wheat Grass supplements (200mg/200mg)
Malic Acid capsules 600mg (used only six days before liver cleanse)
Colloidal Mineral Formula Colloidal Silver 8/20 ppm (Home made!!)
Lymphdiaral Cream (helps drain lymphatic system)
MSM (currently building up to max of 20,000mg per day for a month of heavey detox!!!Then fall back to approx 8,000mg maintenance dose)
Organic Green Tea Liver Flushes ever two weeks!
Sounds good to me, haha! Definately get the Bovine Colostrum and L-Glutamine. They are so beneficial in the area of healing the holes in your stomach, not to mention Colostrum's high-boosting Immune Factors. And yes, I took alot of Colostrum a day. You gotta flood that gut!
