I am 28 and my life was basically socialising with friends often in pubs drinking beer and the rest of it.
I became candida aware then tried the filtered (less yeast) lagers, but I was kidding myself! I then moved onto vodka, with grapefruit juice. It initially tasted way too vodkery. I was kidding myself. So I started to drink either neat vodka (impressed some drinkers!) or vodka and sparkling mineral water with slice of lemon. I became so used to vodka that I could and did drink loads. Eventually (and know) belive it or not vodka tastes sweet to me. Literally sweet. So alas, once again I was kidding myself.
If you follow the other rules 100% and only have it occasionally then im sure it will only slighty slow progress, not prevent it. Most of us are prone to cheating in one way or another but this seems to be cranked tighter (leading to recovery) as time goes by.
My cheating has turned to pistachios as I figure mold does not feed the candida, but can make the body say 'yuck'.
Anyway im sure im still kidding myself with these and again this dieting will be tweaked.
