My boyfriend who has a cat allergy since childhood, is moving in with me and I have two cats... Yes, you guessed right, that potentientially a problem!!
Does any of you know people curing from those kinds of allergies by going raw and/or by any other treatment? I am raw now for a short period of time and he might want to join. This would definitly the best reason since he is crazy about the cats too!
Please let me know if you have tips or valuable information!
Cleansing helps. Keeping the bowels, liver and lymph clean helps a lot. But changing the immune system's mind about dander... that's a toughie. I know how to do it with seasonal allergies - you eat locally made honey from the same pollen so the body learns that it is food rather than an invading protein - but to eat dander? Yikes! LOL!
Vitamin C will reduce histimine effects. So taking EmergenC and Ester C daily may help. Things that strengthen the immune system help it to re-learn what is okay and what is not for the body: Green tea/kombucha (Yogi Tea at the health food store has a nice version), a super-green supplement with blue-green algea, spiruline and chlorella (E3live and Perfect Food and Dr. Schulze 's Super Food are popular).
Myself, I had great success with allergies by quitting all dairy and drinking green tea daily. I don't know so much about animal dander, I had a small allergy to that, but I hadn't been around it in about two years, so I couldn't notice a change. I was having a terrible problem with dust, though, and that stopped within a week. I went from taking Claritin (out of desperation) to no claritin and no sniffles/red eyes, etc. within a week, be it with some undue amounts of green tea at times. Green tea has been shown to have antihistamine properties.
