I try to eat a completely balanced diet. That is the key. The body can convert so much of what it needs by eating a balanced diet
(i.e.complimentary proteins ,example:beans and rice).
The high fat/protein diets will come to haunt us I think...
I think one should eat anything they want. I just hope that folks realize what they are ingesting when they do. If you are in the midst of doing an mc to cleanse yourself then ,maybe I'm wrong again, maybe you would like to keep away from that which put you on the cleanse to begin with. Otherwise ,expect to have the same issues.
Free range chicken and hormone free beef...right on...I think that is a positive move!...being vegan or eating healthy for me doesn't mean that I am going to sit accross the dinner table from you and point out everything you are doing wrong. (although I find myself having to defend my eating habits occasionally, and I ask the person drilling me,"are you sure you want to go there??"). It is what I do for me. However, the hamburgers at mcdonalds are processed from cows that have been eating other cows(mad cow time?) and pumped full of hormones that I hate to tell everyone, they don't drain the hormones at slaughter . Much of the beef the fast food industry sells is comprised of old dairy cows gone dry. I don't really think that is good protein. KFC is just as bad w/laying hens. Does anyone really believe that these fast food companies give a crap about your health...they want you to get fatter....fatter = more consumption. If I was to be a carnivore ,then I would definitely eat natural...expensive ,yes, worth the sacrifice ...you bettcha.
Organic more expensive , you bet it is ...fortunately the biggies are realizing that people are getting smart and so Heinz , prego ,etc...are now offering organic.
I grow and sell organic, oranges, tangelos, coco, coffee, papaya, mango, pineapple, starfruit, cumquats, mac nuts(great protein) ,Hawaiian lemons, tangerines, pommelo and it is alot of work to biologically develop an organic growing plot, believe me. My friends grow lettuce ,tomatoes ,just about everything. I sell my crops or trade them at a fair price. I cringe like most when I go shopping at the health food store and see the prices....yet I realize what it takes to grow them.
And I know it is SAFE for my family. For the buck, though, organic is higher in vitamins and minerals, thus you don't need as much to get those. Worth it , I think so.
As far as protein...All I did was quote Stanely...Ha did I forget the quotes?"""""
I did ,huh...sorry...but this is fun!
In closing all I can say is the human body is a fantastic machine and some even drink their own urine. So obviously it can handle just about anything. Those that think that animals were put here for a reason ,well , I can't really relate,I'm not a religious person. I think things are here as a result. And the disposition of our health is a result ,too. I can only do what works for me. I'm happy. And for the most part ...this email is addressed to me.
PS...RE:nuts,I believe walnuts to be at the top...highest in omega 3
Rock on everyone...back to the task at hand....
