I have decided to try eating minced fresh raw garlic several times a day to see if that gets out any parasites. Actually, I may throw in some grapefruit seed extract, too. I'm in the middle of a candida cleanse "trial" to see if I might have a candida problem. I'm staying off of Sugar totally, as well as fruit, and any products that contain baking yeast (not because I think that baking yeast is candida, which it is NOT, but because oftentimes people who suffer from candida are allergic to baking yeast.) Grapefruit seed extract (GSE) is supposed to help rid the body of candida also, as is raw garlic.
I do smell like a salad, according to my husband, as I use olive oil and sometimes toasted sesame oil, as a moisturizer! Garlic + oil = a yummy salad odor! However, I am very willing to smell like a salad for awhile if it will do wonderful things for my health. Here are some benefits of garlic that I found on the net:
garlic lowers blood pressure.
garlic lowers LDL Cholesterol.
garlic helps to reduce atherosclerotic buildup (plaque).
garlic helps to regulate blood sugar.
garlic helps to prevent blood clots from forming.
garlic helps to prevent cancer. It prevents the further growth of certain tumors while reducing the size of others.
raw garlic is a potent natural antibiotic.
garlic has anti-fungal and anti-viral properties.
garlic reduces yeast infections due to Candida species.
garlic has anti-oxidant properties.
garlic is a source of selenium.
Hopefully, someday, I can add that it got rid of some parasites! I'll let you guys know if and when it happens!
Its true, garlic has amazing properties. My cousin used to be a big pizza zit face, and he's used every single cream there is out there. Then when he was 25 years old he was told my an old doctor in Bolivia to simply eat a lot of garlic, and his skin is now CLEAR! It makes sense reading this forum since garlic is known to have parasite-killing qualities.
I also hate that doctors here in the US are really blind sighted and all they do is patch up the holes rather than looking at the big picture. Tell us how the garlic changes your health!!!
Well...already the raw garlic has relieved my fall allergies. Liver flushing relieved my summer allergies--basically obliterated them--but not having been able to flush since my fall allergies struck, I have found that my sinuses clear right up after I drink my minced garlic!
Also, and this is really exciting for me, I think I might have passed a few worms today. It's hard to say for sure. The one I fished out was stuck to the feces. I put on my glove and separated it and put it into a small cup of water. It looks like a skinny two inch long worm, but it has something hanging off of it that looks like a thin white tissue. And it looks like it has been ripped on one end. It's kinda like ragged on that end and it looks like a hollow tube there. Does this sound like it could be a worm?? I saw more of these things later in the day, but I didn't really investigate what they looked like because I was in a hurry. I haven' eaten anything that could account for this thing I saw. I hope that this is the garlic doing a number on whatever parasites are living in my intestines. Does it usually kill on contact??
If anyone knows about this, please don't hesitate to share!
A good way to take raw garlic is first thing in the morning with fresh fruit (1 apple or 1 pear or clementine), 2-3 cloves garlic, root ginger (about half to 1 inch peeled/chopped). Whiz it all up in a liquidiser and it tastes GREAT. You can also add 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil if you like. This is supposed to cleanse the liver as well.
Read somewhere to be careful about taking raw garlic for too long because it is very powerful. Treat it like you would an antibiotic was the advice.
Hope this helps. Please email me if you would like.
Thank you for the heads up about the strength of garlic! I have no doubt that it is every bit as powerful as an anti-biotic. I certainly don't want to do my body any more harm by taking garlic for too long. Any idea how long is long enough???
Also, after I get off my candida trial, I'll have to try that recipe. Sounds yummy, but it also sounds like the garlic might be too strong. Once, I juiced one garlic clove and drank it down with a bit of water, and I really thought I was going to die! I had a hot flash like you wouldn't believe!! Anyway, I'm willing to give your recipe a try, but I'm not currently eating fruit. I think I need to wait a couple more days.
Regarding the garlic/fruit juice drink I recommended, forget to say that you need to add about half a pint of water to this before whizzing it all up! Also forgot to say to try and get organic garlic. Everything you eat, especially fruit and vegetables should preferably be organic.
You ask how long to take the garlic for: I would imagine 3-4 weeks would be OK. Reduce the amount of garlic if you think it's too strong then increase it gradually, but you don't really taste it when mixed with the fruit. A fresh apple would probably be best. Try and avoid the ready-prepared apple juice for fear of moulds.
Incidentally if you have candida and parasites, like myself and probably thousands of others, I read in Julia Ross's excellent book THE DIET CURE to treat the parasites first before attacking the candida.
Any more queries please get back to me. Would love to help.
My sister and I both did our first herbal parasite cleanse together. I passed an assortment of things. She passed very little. We both thought it was because of her consumption of raw garlic. She eats it regularly, grows it herself. It's very easy to grow btw.
As to using it long term. I think our bodies like to be lazy and no matter what we do it tends to get reliant on things if we do it long enough. No idea how long is too long though. I've been told this is true of vitamin c and herbals as well.
