Barack Obama says that no decision has been taken on an air strike on Syria, but warns the Assad regime its actions have 'international consequences'.
"If in fact we make a choice to have repercussions for the use of chemical weapons, then the Assad regime will have received a pretty strong signal that in fact it had better not do it again," the US president told PBS.
OBAMA JUST BLINKED!
Now Obama is looking for an exit strategy that does not include a missile strike on Syria. That means another distraction to distract from Syria, which was going to distract from NSA-gate, which was going to distract from Benghazi, which was going to distract from ... well, you get the idea. Obama needs something "newsworthy" to happen. Be ready.
Meanwhile, I imagine Netanyahu is screaming and hurling small office accessories at the walls about now, as his options to escalate the war into Iran just vanished. With Cameron and Obama backing off, nobody would believe Syria or Iran would attack the US warships now. So Netanyahu also needs something "newsworthy!"
This game is not over yet.
