I found this recipe on Morley Robbins FB page. I decided to give it a try as a nice summer pick-up. Since my Na/K levels have been stubbornly low I decided to give it a try.
Let me tell you it worked great! I was very busy gardening today and it was crazy hot out. It was an all around busy day. So I made the cocktail. I used sweet grapefruits as the oranges looked pretty tired. It gave me such an incredible lift. I am definately adding this in.
I suppose this would only be TEI kosher as many of us are taking potassium anyway. So here is the recipe and please let me know how you felt with it and what your Na/K levels are.
8 oz of freshly squeezed orange juice
1/4 tspn of cream of tartar
1/4 tspn Sea Salt
Mix and take in two 4oz doses throughout the day.
P.S- My hubby who was working hard with me felt no difference at all after drinking the cocktail. His Na/k levels are quite high. Plus inverted.
When I was in Mexico I would add sea salt to my freshly squeezed orange juice and drank it throughout the day. I was hooked on it. Now I know about the cream of tartar for the potassium.
Maria41- Yes and Yes!!! Such a great group! I am completely hooked and learning so much! I have used the Epsom Salts baths for detox for the last couple of years. Now I'm going to start the magnesium flake baths to increase magnesium in the body! I never knew mag was so important.
Yes the drink wouldn't work so well for those with high potassium.
Hi Onwards :) Wow, so wonderful to hear you joined the group!
Because of your comments, I was overwhelmed with curiosity, and went ahead and created an FB account and joined the group ! I want to learn as much as I can. I also never knew how important mag was.. It's startling, but I'm a believer because of what it has done for me in such a short time!
I did a bit of research on the Potassium issue. I found that if one has good kidneys they are supposed to eliminate any excess potassium. Well, unless you take, like, huge amounts, which I didn't. I only took 1- 99mg a day. But that is what the heart palpitations mean for anyone that may experience the same as me. The Calcium in the Paramin, being an antagonist, was able to eliminate it and put me back in balance. I test my urine with a PH strip everyday now, and it's right on the money at 7.2-7.5.
