Note photo 4 which illustrates the typical tunnel under the skin created by the scabby burrowing. Photo 3 is good because it compares scabies to other rashes. There are 2 kinds of skin eruptions.
1- where infant scabies dig into the skin to molt & wait for a male to mate
2- female burrows under the skin to lay eggs.
Eggs are hatching for a full 6 weeks after being laid
Here is a good series of photos: http://hardinmd.lib.uiowa.edu/dermnet/scabies2.html
The solution for scabies is mission impossible because they have grown resistant to the drugs used to kill them, and because eggs continue to hatch for 6 weeks after you have killed the scabies, they will die within 3 days if removed from the host.
My solution is to mix 2/3 grapeseed oil with 1/3 Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth (DE) into a spray bottle. Apply to the skin morning & night. Sprinkle DE into the bedding each day with a salt shaker being careful not to breath it. All scabies & itching will be gone within 1 week. Continue treatments for 6 weeks to kill off the hatchlings. DE kills them on contact & the Grapeseed Oil smothers their breathing tube.
Scabies is the affliction from HELL ! A true HORROR story. People have suffered with it for YEARS, lost everything. Most doctors are USELESS and won't come near it. It is exactly the same as Mange in dogs. Some desperate people have even gone to a vet for Mange treatments.
Getting rid of the itching after you kill them is the 2nd battle.
Dish washing liquid applied to the itching area will bring near immediate relief.
Apply it and rub it in.
It will foam up a little bit,but just let it dry.
It works on other itching as well.
If you don't like the idea of using dish washing liquid try your favorite soap or shampoo.
LAVA Soap works too.
Vicks Vapor Rub worked good too in my early stages of Scabies, when i was desperately trying different stuff for the itching.
I should have said in my post above that all itching is gone in 1 week, the Grapeseed Oil & Diatomacius Earth kills all the scabies, but not their eggs which are laid under the skin. For this reason the treatments must be kept up for 3 months to kill all the hatchlings that come out from under the skin.
Your soap idea is also good, but must also be kept up for 3 months to kill all the hatchlings.
Health food stores might carry pure DE, but read the label. If it contains Bentonite [Clay], you don't want it. Do not get DE for pools. Only pure food grade DE is acceptable. Be careful not to breath DE dust when using. If necessary, wear a surgical mask. When you think you are cured, keep the treatments going for another 2 months to kill the babies crawling out of their eggs under your skin, or else you will get re-infected. Scabies are from HELL !
got the DE and am mixing it w/ a little lavender oil, neem oil, couple drops of tea tree oil and a little coconut oil,
according to your recipe but I add water to get it thru the spray bottle.
did you use water?
DE/oil mixture has been the first step of relief from nightmare itching and burning on my arms, chest and stomach.
IT'S A NIGHTMARE.
also taking dead Sea Salt mineral hot baths to externally kill the mites and then
drinking a glass of alkaline water and 1/4 tsp Sea Salt w. 4000mg vit C to internally go after any bugs and having good results from that as well.
dabbing any sudden bites w/ an alcohol swab (helps)
changing sheets every day
sprinkling DE on mattress
then new sheets
then spraying DE mixture on sheets.
coconut oil on scalp which helps.
mopping tile floors with alcohol
saving up for a steam cleaner at which point I will bag everything I can and steam clean the entire apt.
any advice for someone who can't take it after 5 weeks of itching and burning?
is there something I'm leaving out?
my DR prescribed peremethrin (I have a truly great Doc) but it only helped for a couple days and then they were back with a vengeance.
I think I have the new 'gulf war revenge' scabies that I've read about. this is really from hell.
really improved once I tried your protocol -right away 60 %
I just can't take the itching and burn anylonger (and occasioinal crawling feeling -yuck!!!)
my teen only has them around his ankles
raised him organically - no vac etc - he's healthy as an ox unlike his mom so he thinks I'm exaggerating the pain and itching.
although he saw the huge 'bites' and welts on my forearms which are better but still itching like crazy and painful (eggs?)
lanacaine is the best of 20 creams I've bought for topical pain. but just @ 30%relief.
have also applied straight need oil. tamanu oil very helpful.
feel sooooooooooo alone with this. and have been isolating myself so as not to pass it on to even strangers.
tell me there's a light at the end of this tunnel :)
I used Grape Seed Oil with my DE mix. This may be why you have trouble spraying it. It doesn't really spray, it squirts with the spray valve wide open. Grape seed oil is important because it soaks into the skin rapidly.
The only things I used were low sulfur cream (like a jar of vaseline) & low sulfur soap when I took a shower (3 times a week ).
All itching was gone within 2 weeks. I kept it up for 2 months to kill the babies as they hatched under the skin.
Grizz...Im sure your remedy works, but this is better. Hot water. Do not burn your self, but make it as hot as possible. It WILL get rid of scabies. When you feel the itch, heat up water and use a wash cloth, or take a hot shower. Use the DE on the house. Bomb the areas where you spend all of your time.
That is wonderful news to hear. Congratulations.
I'm not sure which part of my procedure was most effective.
The Grapeseed Oil could have smothered them to death. They breath through a little pipe coming from their abdomen and the grapeseed oil may have blocked their breathing pipe.
It may have been the D-E which destroyed them.
It may have been the low sulfur bar of soap I used in my showers, or the low sulfur salve.
It is for someone else to sort out which one did it. I am still free of Scabies after all of these years, YAY.
You are correct, Scabies is a hell on earth!
Best to all curing this horrible affliction, Remember to keep the treatments going for 2 months after the itching stops to kill the hatchlings that keep coming out of your skin every day. You WILL get re-infected if you don't keep the treatment going for 2 additional months.
This diatemacous earth/grape seed oil combo worked immediately. I feel complete relief of the non-stop crawling itch. I applied this to my entire body, and I can literally feel these bugs suffocating. It's FANTASTIC.
The doctor prescribed permethrin 5% cream to be applied to the entire body, and left on for 12 hours. The cream was $77, I am very wary of chemicals and pesticides. This is an active ingredient in lice shampoos that causes awful side effects. When I asked the doctor about my safety concerns of the medication, he stated, "Do you want to get rid of the scabies or not?". He didn't recommend any alternative treatment options whatsoever.
Doctors are so ignorant and arrogant.
If you have scabies, try this combo it works like magic. No side effects. All natural. Cheaper than the prescription. I got the big bag of DE from the health store for $22. And the organic grape seed oil for $8 at the grocery store. $30 for the cure.
Remember you must keep the grapeseed oil + DE treatments going for 3 months to kill ALL of the hatchlings as they come out. The female Scabie spends her entire life laying eggs under your skin, and they hatch every day.
After keeping the treatments up for 3 months you can call yourself cured. Please report back in 3 months.
Hello Grizz. I hope this old post still stands true and you are still mite free. I have this hell plague right now and would not wish this on hitler!!! Only cause he's dead and do not wish to waste a wish...lol I don't mean that but these mites are turning me into a very anger person. I have a question while await to receive my DE. How does the DE work on the mites buried in my skin. They are nicely protected under my once radiant skin? Do they surface? How often? Anyway thank you so much for your knowledge and for cure zone! I need sleep so bad. Thank you Gnome23
You are correct. However you need to learn more about the Scabies Life Cycle. The female Scabies spends her 2 month life burrowing under the skin, laying 3 eggs a day as she travels. As the eggs hatch, the larvae burrow to the surface and dig themselves a "Fox Hole" in the skin. This is where they molt and turn into adults (10 to 14 days). When the male Scabies reaches adult, he leaves the foxhole and travels around looking for a female hiding in her fox hole. After they mate, he dies and she begins a new burrow from her fox hole to lay eggs. She travels up to 3 cm per minute.
They are vulnerable to die from D-E when hiding in their fox holes, or when searching for a mate. They are also vulnerable to suffocating when the Grape Seed Oil clogs up their breathing tube. Grape Seed oil is quickly absorbed into the skin, and it suffocates the female in her burrow.
This is also why it is vital to keep the treatment going for 3 months after the itching has stopped.... to kill ALL the larva hatching from the eggs under the skin..
Google "Scabies Life Cycle" for more. You will have to read many different links to get the full story.
Also vital to make sure your clothing sits around for a week before wearing it. They will die within 3 days without blood.
