Maybe some symptoms everyone has is from information overload. I mean seriously there's some quacks on this forum no offence.
I keep encouraging everyone to simplify. Elimination diet, and try to really decipher what's doing what. I know everyone's trying all this different stuff..I'm guilty of going down that road too.
These days I keep it simple, because it is. Most of the time we are still eating foods that irritate us and we blame it on the Candida. Or we set out to drink enough water but we just don't, or we have like 10g of fiber a day and that's just not enough to push stool, with or without Candida issues. It's an overall bad intestinal environment most of us are dealing with. Candida is a major culprit but it's more than that.
You gotta be aware of what's happening, and notice offending foods. I find I can have a little Sugar without feeling that the Candida is suddenly thriving out of control. Same with yeast, like if I eat a gluten-free pizza that has yeast.. it's not this huge downfall that I notice the next day... But say I drank a glass of milk, it would be very noticable and I probably would be messed up for a few days. What does "messed up" mean? It means irritation, imflammation.. the things we don't want. It might have nothing to do with Candida but with constant irritation, the gut ain't going to function properly and things like Candida will have a chance to take control.
There's no exact way to do this. There are so many things going on, someone will always come on here trying to bring some new research to the table. Research is great, but there's so many variables
Whoever claims they have the cure is a criminal of health
We all know this..its a whole approach..it's everything..exercising, water, fiber, vitamins, minerals, not eating too late, not skipping meals, balanced diet, identifying allergies, restoring gut flora, improving digestion, detoxing at a healthy pace, there could be neurological, mental, spiritual issues... and the list goes on and on
If you want to get the yeast in check, first understand that it was always there and will never go away. The reason why it's out of whack is because something is not right.. maybe it's stress..maybe its something you can't let go from your past that keeps you in a state of stress or anxiety. Could very well be the reason for some.
There are a lot of helpful ideas out there, but not 1 of them is the absolute cure. I speak highly of this probiotic I'm taking and even though it's the only thing I'm taking, there's so much more going on that's personal to me...like the foods I'm eating and the foods I'm avoiding.. I'm no longer in the dark about what is doing what. This is a great help. I also drink adequate water, and I get adequate fiber. I also don't drink alcohol or smoke. I got my Amalgams removed by a dentist who knew what he was doing. I rest a lot. Some people are always on the go, so no matter what they do, they're still screwed. Some people don't move enough and as the old saying goes, what you don't use, you lose. Toxins build up and never get out through the skin..they start finding home in the joints, in the brain, in the crevices... This could be a major problem..there's many possibilities.
I'm not 100% yet..I can admit that, but coming from a time when I had to roll around with a pillow under me just to get gas out..I'm really far along in recovery. So I speak from personal experience. Extremely messed up cholesterol levels, hyperoxaluria, Thalassemia minor..heavy gluten intolerance, potentially celiac... I've got things I'm up against, but there's not 1 thing that's going to make this all better.. There's many things and even though I grab a tip from here and an idea from there...managing my health is going to ultimately be personal to me.
And the MOST IMPORTANT PART IS SELF-AWARENESS, understand what your body is telling you, and get some diagnostics done that are PERSONAL to you, which will help prevent illnesses and help crack the code of YOUR body
So to anyone coming on here forcing their opinion on others or arguing if someone disagrees (you know who you are)... Buzz off already ! You don't know the cure because you aren't me, or anyone else. You're just you..
There are definitely people that had an easier time with candida on here that post that a simple metal pull or supplement did it.. As long as someone doesn't claim to have the cure, I find all posts positive...that is the cure that allows for a great lifestyle and no moderation with food. We really do all have the same goal. Your post on oxalates was great and I switched to bok choy and napa.
Yea I am gonna watch oxilates and replace the kale drink with cilantro. That's a chelator for metals from what I read...this is just what I am doing. I am going to make it clear that I am not calling it the only way or something that everyone has to do. I am just combining my focus on alkalyzing with oxalate elimination and taking the suggestions on metals.
Chelation is just an aggressive way of detoxing heavy metals. It's not the only way. First, correcting any digestive issues will take a major burden off other organs to allow them to do their job properly. I did a few months of Spirulina after the Amalgam removal. If down the road I suspect I still have dangerous levels of mercury, then I'll look into it but there's nothing in my head telling me it's a problem anymore. My health has improved greatly so if it was a bad case of mercury poisoning I would probably know it.
In my opinion there's too many risks involved with flushing or detoxing too fast...I like slow and progressive improvement leading to longterm cure. I've learned to be patient with healing
Of course, it's also possible that you still have a mercury problem. The other things you've done are simply controlling the symptoms. I found I could control the symptoms with diet and anti-yeast supplements, but it wasn't until I began chelating that I experienced genuine improvement.
Spirulina, by itself, isn't an effective tool for chelating since it has a very limited effect when used alone. Mercury becomes stuck in various places throughout a person's body. It would be nice if a body's natural chelating system could take care of it, but if it could, probably nobody would have heavy metal problems. Regular detoxing and flushing are also of limited use since the metals get stuck and will not be easily pried loose.
We need to get the mercury out and there really isn't an alternative to systematic use of a good chelator.
Otherwise, the metals will stay in our bodies forever.
Whether or not you chelate is up to you, of course. I'm not an expert. I just try to give advice to people based on my own experiences or upon what I've read during my research. I hope that I can spare other people the same pain and suffering I went through for decades.
My main regret after years of chelating is that I didn't figure this out sooner (for example, telling my dentist not to put that silver !%#$ in my mouth).
I appreciate the advice but blood goes everywhere..so if spirulina is ingested, it will find its way around and get to the mercury. There's no reason to believe otherwise. Is there?
Everything we eat and drink reaches everywhere through the blood..that is..whatever gets absorbed through the intestines. The heart pumps the blood everywhere.. Physiology 101. Not trying to be rude just saying.
Am I outta line for believing this?
Maybe a little Science behind why Spirulina falls short would help me understand...could you provide anything along those lines? Thanks
I can't really explain it in technical detail. The vitamins and stuff from spirulina (and chlorella) will go everywhere. The part of spirulina which attaches itself to mercury only has it's effect in the digestive system. You need to get the mercury from out of the places where it's stuck and into your digestive system in order for spirulina to have an appreciable chelating effect.
Otherwise, we could just take spirulina for a while and we would be free of mercury. It just doesn't work that way. We need to take something which has a chelating effect throughout the body (ALA, for example) in order to get the mercury out.
Those are some interesting points and observations regarding some people as quacks. Certainly there are a few that go around plowing through with all the answers, supposedly. Yet you've observed that there are indeed many factors to health that require self awareness and study.
I recall one patient a doctor was telling me about that simply could not lose weight under 300 lbs. The doctor ran a food alergy blood panel and explained to the patient to avoid those foods that show up sensitive to IgA, IgG, and IgE antibodies. Sure enough, the patient came back still overweight the next visit. Admittedly, the patient did not quit some of the sensitive foods and COULD NOT lose weight. The doctor put it clearly: Your food sensitivities are keeping the weight on and are like eating poison. Each consecutive new visit the patient was losing weight only after REALLY taking seriously the doctor's advice. Not every doctor will consider food sensitivities unless the doctor has experience and an open mind, hard to find nowadays unless one looks hard.
Also, this puts another variable into our complex array of health. One persons food is another's potential poison.
Thanks for sharing your story, it's very humbling to read.
"Whoever claims they have the cure is a criminal of health"
I strongly disagree. I, for example am claiming that I have a cure and I certainly am not a criminal of health. Quite the contrary I am a champion of health and I help people heal themselves. You should not make such generalizations.
Also, you should really focus on healing yourself more and not so much on other people. Candida thrives off of the hormones released through complaining.
I ain't gonna be mad dude, there's already so many people mad at you. Not because they're in denial about what you say but because you seriously say some asinine things. Then you end up going back on your word, and you'll do it again and again. Especially when you realize your diet is only good for short term. You will eventually develop other issues and when you do, I want you to remember the guy who warned you. Cuz I'm cool and would still help you out. Like I said.. I ain't mad at ya and I don't blame ya, you just don't know any better and you're all passionate about what you're doing in the moment. Give it some time 'til you realize the effects of your imbalanced diet, then you'll be ready to come back into the world. I just hope for your sake it's not too late.
I'm only here to help people realize that their experience is very personal and a fix for one person may not be the fix for another.
You have a tendency to keep insisting on certain things as if they're fact, even when you have people telling you LOUD & CLEAR that they are different. You should know people are different, why should they even have to explain it to you.. are you a child? Whatever, you'll get it eventually
I hope to greatly surpass asinine and reach asi-ten, asi-eleven, or even asi-twelve before the masses throw a tantrum at me. So long as I am giving out useful information from personal EXPERIENCE, and people are sending me PMs thanking me, then should I even care what the masses think? Or if you get mad at me? of course not.
"Especially when you realize your diet is only good for short term."
As I have stated in previous posts, it depends on the progression of your infection. If you have had chronic and severe systemic candidiasis for many years, decades even, then it is advisable to go on an all greens diet for periods of time in order to eliminate as many fungal colonies as possible. Intention and focus is everything: and the focus should be to ELIMINATE THE COLONIES. If you can do this without all greens diet, then all the more power to you. But truth be told this can only really be done for non severe cases when the candida has been weakened through effective protocol.
Whats wrong with good old fashioned probiotics that work? Too pricey?
If I wake up feeling like a champ and just yesterday I had chicken and beef, what would lead me to believe that a greens diet is beneficial to me? I knew a vegetarian who's blood wasn't even good enough to donate because of the lack of iron. They turned her away. She had been a vegetarian for like 5 years at that point. Do you think low iron should be treated lightly? Where is all your protien coming from? The amino ACIDS that are the building blocks of life. Rice and Beans? Almonds? We know the bad effects Almonds have because of their oxalate content. Beans as well. How long can you possibly go on this all greens things before some function in your body just gives up?
A few days on an all greens diet is nothing compared to the debilitating complications caused by systemic candidiasis.
You are talking about minerals and nutrient absorption. Good- now allow your mind to ponder this: how in the hell is your body supposed to get ANY nutrients, vitamins, minerals, protein, ANYTHING, if nearly every square inch of you intestinal lining is covered with mycelial candida?
Hmm? And what if every square inch of that mycelial candida is eating YOUR food and in return poisoning you with its metabolic toxins? Not only are you nutritionally deprived, you are being SEVERELY poisoned? Wouldn't the obvious solution be to ELIMINATE THE COLONIES? Eating all greens helps accomplish this.
Once again: intention.
Probiotics do absolutely nothing against mycelial candida. You are talking 5 billion little unorganized bacteria that have been hibernating for 3 years and that have not had a chance to settle or colonate versus TRILLIONS of highly organized, well established, well fed candida colonies with protective biofilm that are all interlinked and working together as one organism. Probiotics do absolutely nothing and CANNOT settle into your intestinal lining until the colonies are FIRST eradicated.
My response is, I don't feel it. How come I feel a drop of real poison to me, Gluten, but I'm not feeling this so called poisoning that you're talking about? i think it's a lot of mumbo jumbo and I'd rather go by how I'm feeling long term. Keep it simple man you are gonna go crazy
Even greens can poison you, how do you know where they were grown, what they were sprayed with..what was in the soil.. how deep do you wanna go with this? nothing is certain
i think my body along with a lot of other people's bodies cannot deal with the genetically modified and abundant gluten in wheat. It wasn't always this way. The over consumption of something already so unnatural caused this problem.
I know the connection candida has with gluten but what are you trying to prove? I lost ya.
I get it, some people have it worse than others. But until they see their intestines firsthand with a camera, then I don't think it's a good idea they start believing that every square inch of their intestines is covered in mycelial candida. Symptoms sometimes make ya think the worse case scenario but we all know how horrible even a simple sore throat feels like
